Automating Daily Reports for Sales and Stock Tracking in Hospitality Supplies– Detail how automation reduced manual errors and saved time for your team, improving operational efficiency
  • Jan 30, 2026
  • International Journal For Multidisciplinary Research
  • Kishan Patel

Daily reporting in hotel supply chains plays an important part in maintaining operational visibility, prompt decision-making, and precise stock management across a wide range of product categories, including lighting, furniture, bath fixtures, and linens, among others. A significant number of organizations contin-ue to generate these reports manually, which results in errors caused by humans, operations that are per-formed twice, and a delay in the flow of information between departments. The purpose of this article is to propose a thorough automation framework for daily sales and inventory reporting. The foundation of this framework is aimed to improve data dependability and eliminate operational inefficiencies. Integra-tion of many data sources is accomplished by the system through the use of automated ETL (Extract–Transform–Load) workflows. These workflows validate, consolidate, and schedule daily reports without the need for human interaction. A considerable improvement in performance is demonstrated by the findings, which include a reduction of 80–90% in the amount of time spent on manual preparation, a re-duction of 70–80% in the number of errors that occur during data entry, and a measurable rise of 6–10 percentage points in inventory accuracy. Additionally, automation made it possible to give reports more quickly before official business hours, which supported more informed decisions on sales, procurement, and inventory planning. This study demonstrates the ways in which data automation may strengthen governance, improve responsiveness, and establish a scalable reporting infrastructure for the hospitality supply business. Ultimately, this can lead to an improvement in overall efficiency and a culture that is driven by data.

Effective management of the operating room serves as a connector between patients and healthcare teams and institutions. This study monitored the surgical process of patients between the periods when they left their clinic to undergo a surgical operation and when they came back to their clinic after the surgery, to identify the waiting times spent in the waiting areas and to determine the reasons that cause patients to wait. This is a longitudinal follow-up study. Surgical operations related to the clinics of general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, orthopaedics and traumatology conducted in a university hospital and within the business hours were followed up for 30 business days. Data were collected from 416 patients who underwent elective surgical operations between May and October 2019. Descriptive statistics and covariance analysis were used to analyse the data. The patients waited in nine areas during the surgical operation. The operating room occupancy rate was 62.01 ± 21.47%. The mean preoperative waiting time was 41.36 ± 28.86 min, the mean postoperative waiting time was 27.30 ± 16.07 min and the mean total waiting time was 65.84 ± 34.17 min. The most common reasons for waiting were the delay in completing the previous surgery (33.8%), preparation of the team (23.8%), preparation of the tables and equipment (16.1%), the reasons related to the personnel (13%) and cleaning of the operating room (9.2%). They had to wait in the T3 (31.68 ± 24.04 min), T4 (10.37 ± 16.68 min) and T8 (25.00 ± 15.79 min) areas for the longest period. Delay in completing the previous surgery (51.5%), which accounted for the largest portion of waiting time in area T3, preparation of the tables and equipment (44.8%) in area T4 and personnel-related factors (23.8%) in area T8 were the primary reasons for prolonged patient waiting times. This study found that patients experienced long waiting times due to various factors, which can be reduced through organizational improvements. Planning of the operating room and effective communication among team members are key factors in these arrangements.

Occupancy-Aware Spatio-Temporal Building Energy Forecasting with a Hybrid Long ShortTerm Memory and Graph Neural Network Benchmark Using Public Datasets
  • Jan 1, 2026
  • E3S Web of Conferences
  • Benedictus Herry Suharto + 4 more

Accurate short-term forecasting of building energy demand is complicated by coupled temporal dynamics, cross-meter spatial effects, and occupancy-driven variability. We present an occupancy-aware spatiotemporal framework that uses a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) branch and a Graph Neural Network (GNN) branch, augmented with calibrated occupancy probabilities transferred from labeled sources to public corpora lacking occupancy labels. Using BDG2 and ASHRAE GEPIII, we construct physical, correlation kNN, and learned kNN graphs; engineer calendar– weather–lag/rolling features; and evaluate with forward-chaining splits across horizons t +1… t +24. Primary (MAE, RMSE, MAPE) and domain metrics (CVRMSE, NMBE) follow ASHRAE Guideline 14. The hybrid attains RMSE 2.766 kWh (BDG2) and 2.740 kWh (ASHRAE GEPIII), yielding 33.44% and 33.52% reductions versus a ridge/XGBoost baseline, and statistical parity with LSTM-only (ΔRMSE −0.23% on BDG2; +0.02% on ASHRAE GEPIII; paired tests p <0.05). Horizon-wise curves show stable gains—especially during business hours—and learned kNN typically provides the lowest average error. Per-meter distributions indicate 100% of meters satisfy CVRMSE ≤ 30% and ∣NMBE∣ ≤ 10%, supporting calibration and retro-commissioning use. These findings demonstrate that using temporal and graph-based spatial cues with transferable occupancy signals delivers robust, label-efficient multi-meter forecasting, with units standardized (kWh, °C) and |NMBE| consistently denoted for clarity.

Integrating Physical and Non-Physical Work Environment to Enhance Employee Productivity: An Ergonomics and JD–R-Based Study at the Moro’o Sub-District Office, West Nias
  • Dec 30, 2025
  • International Journal of Management, Entrepreneurship, Social Science and Humanities
  • Yoel Tatema Hia + 2 more

The work environment plays an important role in determining employee productivity, especially in the public sector which is oriented towards community service. A conducive work environment—both physically and non-physically—can increase enthusiasm, concentration, and performance, while unsupportive conditions have the potential to reduce productivity and increase stress. This study aims to: (1) describe the working environment conditions at the Moro’o Subdistrict Office in West Nias Regency, (2) identify factors that affect employee productivity, and (3) analyse the relationship between the physical and non-physical working environment and employee productivity. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the physical work environment still faced several obstacles, particularly related to uneven lighting, suboptimal air quality and ventilation, cramped and disorderly room layout, and noise during busy service hours. In contrast, the non-physical work environment is relatively strong, characterised by supportive leader-subordinate relationships, open communication, and harmonious cooperation among colleagues. The interaction between physical limitations and non-physical strengths simultaneously affects the comfort, efficiency, and productivity of employees in providing services to the community

THE SOLUTION OF VOICE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS DUE TO POOR COVERAGE AND LOW NETWORK QUALITY IN A CELLULAR NETWORK OPERATOR
  • Dec 28, 2025
  • International Journal of 3D Printing Technologies and Digital Industry
  • Bahadır Başyiğit

Although Long-term Evolution (LTE) technology is currently used in data and voice transmission, the GSM frequency band is still used in voice transmission because of its more resistant to both coverage and multipath fading. Poor coverage problems caused by low signal level directly reduce network performance and cause undesirable cases. Solving these problems requires relatively difficult process steps, such as hardware configuration and parameter optimization. Since the hardware configuration is not consistently repeatable, it is the preferred method to improve the self-collected parameter values either on site or by the network. In this study, Test Mobile System (TEMs) has been used to collect data. TEMs is a type of telephony that has the ability to collect/present detailed information about all quality and level of signals. The aim of this study is first to solve important problems such as poor coverage area, low signal level and bad signal quality by the improvement of the optimization parameters and changing hardware configuration in detail as a novelty and to improve the quality statistics of a region consisting of 17 base stations. These are; RxQual value from 0.61 to 0.57, average signal quality from 0.19 to 0.16, mean opinion score (MOS) for downlink from 4.01 to 4.16, uplink from 3.65 to 3.79 to increase the capacity of subscribers it is provided. The handover (HO) success rate, which is used to mean inter-cell transfer, is 96% to 99%, call set-up success rate is 95.27% to 97.13%, call retainability is 95.79% to 98.03% and call integrity is reached to 97.23% from 96.77%. The number of calls to the network busy hour call drops from 6 to 1 and the network busy number has decreased from 4 to 1.

Road intersections are points of conflict that often occur during busy hours. One example of an intersection that is the focus of research is a non-signalized three-way intersection on Taman Asri main road in Sidoarjo Regency with a three-arm intersection type, one direction with 2 lanes, two directions with 4 lanes and a median (324M) located on Taman Asri Main Road, Wadung Asri Road, and Rungkut Mananggal Road. This study aims to analyze vehicle traffic volume, traffic flow capacity, and the performance of the unsignalized three-way intersection on Taman Asri Highway in Sidoarjo Regency using the PKJI (Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines) method to calculate capacity, degree of saturation, and average delay. The data used include road geometric conditions, traffic volume, capacity, and degree of saturation. Data were collected through field surveys. From the analysis of the research results, the highest traffic volume at the unsignalized intersection on the Taman Asri-Tambak Rejo road segment occurred on Friday afternoon at 4042 vehicles/hour, while the lowest traffic volume occurred on Tuesday noon at 2085 vehicles/hour. The highest capacity was on Monday afternoon at 4391 vehicles/hour with a traffic volume of 3784 vehicles/hour. Meanwhile, the lowest capacity was on Saturday noon at 3649 vehicles/hour with a traffic volume of 2495 vehicles/hour. As for the performance of the unsignalized intersection on the Taman Asri-Tambak Rejo road segment with a type 324 intersection, the peak congestion occurred on Friday afternoon, with a degree of saturation of 0.95, queue probability of 36-72, and a delay of 17.10 seconds; however, this unsignalized intersection is still considered to be in good condition, However the saturation level exceeds the maximum limit, as can be seen from the saturation level reaching 0.95, which exceeds the daily saturation value of 0.85 according to the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI).

  • Cory Stephens + 2 more

Nursing informatics and generative artificial intelligence are emerging as key enablers of competency-based education in nursing, supporting educators in delivering personalized support while maintaining quality, flexibility, and efficiency. The Joint Artificial Intelligence Model in Education, a custom generative pretrained transformer, was developed to assist doctoral nursing students with academic writing, assignment clarification, and practicum guidance. To ensure pedagogical and contextual relevance, its design was grounded in the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge framework and the Purpose, Integration, Curriculum/Replacement, Amplification, Transformation model, and aligned with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials. The tool was trained on course-specific resources, including rubrics, policies, and instructional materials, then piloted in a graduate nursing informatics course. Evaluation measures included data from the learning management system, student performance, and qualitative feedback. Findings indicated that the tool promoted learner autonomy and was used frequently outside business hours and on weekends; however, usage showed limited correlation with academic performance, underscoring its supplemental role. Faculty reported fewer frequently asked questions and an improvement in instructional efficiency. Students valued its accessibility, nonjudgmental tone, and 24/7 availability. This article strengthens the evidence base, demonstrates feasibility, and offers a replicable model for integrating artificial intelligence into nursing education.

Barriers and Enablers in Accessing Neonatal Point of Care Ultrasound Training in Australia and New Zealand: A Survey of Neonatal Clinicians.
  • Dec 14, 2025
  • Journal of paediatrics and child health
  • Penny Pei Lee Kee + 4 more

The Australian and New Zealand model for neonatal point of care ultrasound (POCUS) training was developed in 2009 and is the first of such certification available internationally. Despite this, there has only been a modest increase in the number of certified POCUS clinicians in the last 10 years. Little is known about the accessibility to training. To address this knowledge gap, we conducted a binational survey of the neonatal clinicians. An online questionnaire was distributed through the Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Network (ANZNN) mailing list in May 2024. The network consists of all 32 NICUs in Australia and New Zealand, and the distribution list includes neonatologists and trainees registered with the network. A total of 132/283 (47%) responses were received. Sixty-seven percent were from neonatologists, and the remainder were trainees. 33% had completed POCUS training, 23% were enrolled, 17% did not complete training and 27% were not enrolled. Forty-three percent worked in a NICU where POCUS service was available 24/7, and the rest were available ad hoc (43%), or during business hours only (12%); 2% worked in a NICU with no POCUS service. The main barriers include a lack of protected teaching time (73%), POCUS supervisors (52%) and a formal curriculum (40%). Seventy-two percent felt POCUS training should be included in the neonatal specialist training curriculum. Neonatal clinicians recognise the importance of POCUS training and its benefits for patient care. However, there are significant barriers limiting access to training. The results of this survey may help inform curriculum design and educational strategies that can lead to wider implementation of training and integration of POCUS into clinical care.
