Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Difabel di SMA Negeri 1 Mojotengah Wonosobo

This research aims to: 1) determine the learning motivation of students with disabilities at SMA Negeri 1 Mojotengah; 2) to determine the role of Islamic religious education teachers in increasing the learning motivation of disabled students at SMA Negeri 1 Mojotengah; 3) to determine the obstacles for Islamic religious education teachers in increasing the learning motivation of disabled students at SMA Negeri 1 Mojotengah. This research uses a qualitative research approach with field research. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation methods. Then, data sources were obtained from primary data sources and secondary data sources (Islamic religious education books, references related to students with disabilities, learning motivation, previous theses, articles, journals and internet sites). Apart from that, data sources were also obtained from research subjects, namely the school principal, PAI subject teachers, and 5 students with disabilities at SMA Negeri 1 Mojotengah. The data analysis technique used is an inductive qualitative data analysis technique. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the learning motivation of disabled students at SMA Negeri 1 Mojotengah is not good due to several factors, namely the less conducive learning environment, bullying, and the lack of self-confidence of disabled students. The role of PAI teachers in increasing learning motivation is as a demonstrator, class manager, facilitator and mediator, evaluator and motivator. Some of the obstacles for teachers in increasing the learning motivation of disabled students are in growing and increasing learning motivation because students lack self-confidence, inadequate facilities, communication with deaf disabled students, there is no special accompanying teacher (GPK) who accompanies them in class and integrates learning methods with needs of students with disabilities.

DEVELOPMENT OF A DISASTER MITIGATION BOOK FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

The background to the problems faced in society, especially the Malang area, East Java, is that several natural disasters have occurred which have resulted in victims. Therefore, education is needed from an early age in order to minimize the number of victims of natural disasters. The aim of this research is to develop a disaster mitigation book for disaster education in elementary schools. The development of learning media in the form of disaster mitigation books is very necessary so that elementary school students have readiness, both knowledge and skills related to the threat of disasters around them and can behave well when a disaster occurs. The research method used is development research with the ADDIE model. Activities are carried out in the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The research subjects involved were material experts and media experts for elementary school education. Data analysis uses percentage techniques and descriptions of research results. The research procedure starts from initial analysis, product design, product development, product application, and product evaluation. The research results show that the book developed received a positive response from validators. Based on the assessment of material expert validators, the product obtained results of 93.75%. Based on the assessment of media experts, the book product received a score of 98%. These results prove that the product developed can be categorized as a very valid product based on the results of expert validator assessments and can be said to be suitable for elementary school students.

Visual Design of Pop-Up Book Publication Binturong the Rare Cat Bear

This thesis aims to design an engaging and educational pop-up book about the Binturong (Arctictis binturong), a nocturnal creature related to civets but distinguished by size. Known by various names in different regions, such as Binturong, Binturung, Menturung, or Menturun, this animal is referred to as Binturong, Malay Civet Cat, Asian Bearcat, Palawan Bearcat, or simply Bearcat in English. The wild population of Binturong has experienced a significant decline, leading to an elevation of its conservation status to Vulnerable (VU), according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Binturong is listed among the protected species by the Indonesian government. The population decline is attributed to human intervention through exploitation, excessive hunting, deforestation, and forest fires. The responsibility of preserving the environment and biodiversity should concern society. Particularly, educating children, as the next generation, about the Binturong is crucial for understanding the importance of ensuring the sustainability of this species. Therefore, the pop-up book is considered an attractive educational medium. A pop-up book is an interactive form of literature with images that can be erected, aesthetically pleasing, and capable of movement. Thus, the pop-up book serves as an effective tool to enhance reading interest and knowledge about the Binturong.

Relevansi Pendidikan Anak dalam Islam Perspektif Abdullah Nashih ‘Ulwan dan Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Dasar

Abdullah Nashih ‘Ulwan presents views on educating children in Islam based on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the book "Tarbiyatul Aulad fil Islam". This book has been translated into various languages and serves as a reference for Islamic child education worldwide, including in Indonesia. The seven points mentioned in the book are faith, morals, physical education, intellect, spiritual education, social education, and sex education. The "kurikulum merdeka" or independent curriculum is the latest curriculum implemented since 2022. The curriculum change started from first grade and fourth grade and has been ongoing for two years, prompting researchers to focus on studying student textbooks in the fourth grade. This study aims to analyze the perspective of Abdullah Nashih Ulwan with the Islamic Religious Education and Character Education books used in Elementary Schools. This research is qualitative in nature, specifically library research, and the gathered data are analyzed using text and language analysis methods, namely content analysis. The results of this research show that there is relevance in the compilation of Islamic religious education and character education books for fourth grade in the independent curriculum, presented in ten chapters with six points previously proposed by Abdullah Nashih ‘Ulwan, while physical education is provided in a separate subject, namely physical education, sports, and health.

Strategi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam dalam Meningkatkan Literasi Keagamaan di MAN 2 Payakumbuh

The article is entitled "Islamic education learning strategies in increasing religious literacy. This article was written because students still lack interest in reading Islamic education books. This article explores what kind of application of Islamic education learning strategies in increasing religious literacy by teachers of Islamic education subjects such as moral beliefs at MAN 2 Payakumbuh. The aim is to find out what obstacles there are in its implementation. This type of research uses a qualitative approach to describe the implementation of Islamic education learning strategies to increase religious literacy at MAN 2 Payakumbuh. We obtained data through interviews with class XI Aqidah Akhlak teachers, and interviews with class XI students as well as observations. This research obtained the results that the implementation of Islamic education learning strategies implemented by schools and implemented by teachers was not satisfactory and still had many shortcomings. There were 5 strategies implemented, namely: visiting the library, asking students to read for 20 minutes before learning started, making wall magazines, organizing a literacy corner for each class, organizing competitions related to literacy. Even though all strategies have been implemented, there are still gaps. The obstacles to students' lack of interest in reading textbooks, especially Islamic education books, are students' lack of interest in reading textbooks and students' lack of awareness of the importance of reading textbooks, external factors, namely the environment, from friends, from the family environment and school facilities that are rarely used.

Assessment of the Knowledge, Attitude, and Perception of Healthcare Providers Regarding Halal Pharmaceuticals

Background The intersection of religious beliefs and medical practices significantly impacts medication usage and patient adherence to treatment regimens. Emerging within this discourse is the concept of halal pharmaceuticals, emphasizing the alignment of therapeutic drugs with religious beliefs. Despite its importance, there is limited awareness among healthcare providers (HCPs) regarding their ingredients, standards, and manufacturing processes, particularly in the Middle East region. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions (KAP) of HCPs concerning Halal pharmaceuticals, which are crucial for addressing the growing concerns among patients and consumers. Methods A cross-sectional survey involved diverse HCPs (physicians, pharmacists, and nurses) in Jordan. The survey encompassed demographic data, knowledge about Halal pharmaceuticals, attitudes, and perceptions. Descriptive statistics and inferential analyses were performed to examine the associations between demographic variables and KAP scores. Results A total of 381 HCPs participated in the study. While HCPs generally had a high level of knowledge, gaps existed, particularly concerning pharmaceutical composition and Halal alternatives. Attitudes and perceptions were mostly positive or neutral, though variations occurred among professions. Pharmacists exhibited significantly higher knowledge scores compared to physicians and nurses. Information sources included academic institutions, peers, religious and educational books, and online resources. Factors, such as age, marital status, religion, education type, insurance type, working place, and years of experience significantly influenced the KAP scores of participants. Conclusion Tailored educational interventions are critical for addressing knowledge gaps, fostering positive attitudes, and ensuring culturally sensitive healthcare related to Halal pharmaceuticals. Leveraging diverse information sources and tailoring education based on demographics can enhance understanding. Improved knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions enable HCPs to meet the needs of diverse patient populations and provide safe, Halal-compliant medications. Additionally, further research into the perspectives and willingness of patients to pay for Halal pharmaceuticals is essential to ensuring equitable access to pharmaceutical care services.

Effective Audio and Video-Based Learning for Youngest Age

The research project is an interactive educational book and it is a game, but in reality it is a measure of intelligence through which intelligence breakthroughs are achieved through the accuracy of answering questions with the speed of answering. The focus was on children under the age of six, but it included a number of those who are older. Discussing through research on the types of education, focusing on interactive and electronic education, explaining the difference between the two, explaining the types of human intelligence, how to build a school system through the use of a calculator, and what are the requirements and types for that, leading to the importance of the impact of the diversity of educational media, the importance of learning through play, and the benefits and harms of each case. Reaching results indicating that students prefer studying in class to studying electronically, it was noted that there are mental mutations for every age, but the age that responded most and most quickly was the age of youth and advanced youth. The reasons for this result were explained through the research and what we reached, and some methods were presented to increase mental efficiency.

Contextualized education with the semiarid: analysis of teaching books of fundamental teaching II used in the Piamonte region of Diamantin-BA

The discourse of coexistence with the semi-arid region seeks to demystify the image of a semi-arid region represented by drought, dead animals and water scarcity. Relying on the discussions of socioeconomic, cultural, socio-environmental, economic, political and educational phenomena. Thus, the textbook must be understood within the context of social dialogue, contributing to the work of the teacher (a). The objective of this work is to analyze the didactic books of Portuguese, Mathematics, History, Geography and Sciences of Elementary School II of the schools of the public network of Piedmont da Diamantina in Bahia, as well as the presence of contextualization on the Semiarid. We analyzed the books cited according to criteria and descriptors related to living with the Semiarid. All the books were considered decontextualized, although some, mainly those of geography and those of science, approached some aspects related to Semiarid. The textbooks of elementary school II used in the public network in the Piedmont region of Diamantina / BA, do not present contextualization with the Semiarid.

This article aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of al-Biruni's philosophical views, examining his thoughts on epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, and the relationship between science and religion. By delving into his works, including "The Book of Instruction in the Elements of the Art of Astrology" and "The Chronology of Ancient Nations," we illuminate al-Biruni's philosophical legacy and its relevance to contemporary discourse.

Project-Based Learning Integrated with STEAM: A Study on Educational Pop-Up Books for Early Literacy

This study evaluates the effectiveness of integrating Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) to enhance literacy skills among children aged 5-6. Employing a quasi-experimental design, 30 TK Cornerstone Homestyle Education students were selected and divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group engaged in PjBL integrated with STEAM, while the control group followed conventional methods. Pre-tests and post-tests were administered to assess literacy skills, focusing on reading habits, symbol recognition, word writing, and constructing written pieces. Data were collected through tests and observation sheets and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics via IBM SPSS Statistics version 21. Results showed significant literacy skill improvements in the experimental group compared to the control group, with higher post-test scores and increased engagement. Instrument validity was confirmed through item analysis, and reliability was ensured with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.74. Observations revealed high implementation quality in both groups, but the experimental group demonstrated a more substantial increase in literacy levels. This study concludes that STEAM-integrated PjBL effectively enhances early literacy, promotes creativity, and engages students actively in learning. The findings imply the need for broader application of this method in early childhood education and suggest further research to explore long-term impacts and applicability across diverse educational contexts. Despite limitations such as sample scope and short-term intervention, this research supports adopting interdisciplinary approaches for improved educational outcomes.

Development of Interactive E-Module Based on Inquiry Learning to Enhance IPAS Learning Outcomes for Students Public Elementary School

The purpose of this study was to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of an Interactive E-Module based on Inquiry Learning teaching materials on improving the cognitive learning outcomes of IPAS for fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Tambahagung 03 Pati Regency. This type of development research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model. The novelty of this research is the development of material on the Human Sensory System in teacher books and student books based on an innovative learning model, namely Inquiry Learning, which includes interactive edugame evaluations. The results showed the feasibility of media experts with a score of 89.0635% in the very feasible category and material experts with a score of 91.23% in the very feasible category. This is supported by a teacher-response questionnaire of 97.5% and a student-response questionnaire of 93.73%. The effectiveness of Interactive E-Modules based on Inquiry Learning based on the cognitive learning outcomes of students has increased with a normality test analysis, which shows that pre-test and post-test data are typically distributed. The results of the T-test calculation show that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test learning outcomes with the acquisition of a medium category average through the N-Gain test. The conclusion of the research on the development of inquiry learning-based interactive e-modules was successfully developed, and it was very feasible and effective for improving the cognitive learning outcomes of IPAS fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Tambahagung 03 Pati Regency.

The development of a smart teacher book for preventing stereotypical behavior and suspicion in early childhood education

This research develops and assesses the effectiveness of the Smart Teacher Book in preventing stereotypical behavior and suspicion in early childhood education. Employing a mixed-method approach, it combines qualitative descriptive analysis by experts, practitioners, and book users with a quantitative assessment through quasi-experimentation to evaluate the book's effectiveness while being integrated into children's learning activities. Twenty early childhood education teachers participated and were evenly divided into experimental and control groups. The instruments consist of three scales: appropriate, less appropriate, and not appropriate. The book comprises two main sections. The first section is tailored for teachers, covering stereotypical behavior and suspicion and their causes, dangers, and prevention strategies. The second section is designed for children, presenting illustrated material addressing various stereotypes and suspicions related to social categories such as race, gender, religion, and politics. Meanwhile, the test results indicate that the Smart Teacher Book is effective for early childhood education teachers in mitigating stereotypical behavior and suspicion, as evidenced by the readability and effectiveness of the test results. Therefore, the book holds promise as a tool for fostering inclusivity and reducing prejudice in early childhood education settings.

An investigation of the effect of mindfulness-integrated cognitive behavior therapy on demoralization, body image, and sexual function in Iranian women with breast cancer: a randomized controlled trial

BackgroundBreast cancer is an extremely unpleasant and unbearable experience that can have a profound impact on a person’s life. Compared to other types of cancer, breast cancer has a more severe psychological impact on women.PurposeThis study aimed to investigate the effect of mindfulness-integrated cognitive behavior therapy on demoralization, body image, and sexual function in Iranian women with breast cancer.MethodA sample of 30 women with breast cancer were randomly divided into intervention and control groups. The research was conducted in the oncology division of Imam Reza Hospital in Kermanshah by the clinical trial method with a two-group pretest–posttest design and a 2 month follow-up. Participants in the intervention group received Mindfulness-integrated cognitive behavior therapy for eight sessions. The intervention was carried out individually in weekly 60 min sessions. While the control group received self-help treatment (through an educational book). A demographic questionnaire, Demoralization Scale (DS-II), Body Image Scale (BIS), and Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) were used to collect data. For data analysis, means and standard deviations were calculated and repeated measures and the Bonferroni test was conducted using SPSS 26.ResultsThe results showed the effectiveness of mindfulness-integrated cognitive behavior therapy on demoralization, body image, and sexual function (p < 0.05). Concerning demoralization in the intervention group, the pre-test mean was 16.73 ± 3.33, and it reduced to 11.93 ± 1.49 in the post-test. The body image mean score showed a decreasing trend in the intervention group, from 12.47 ± 1.88 in the pre-test to 8.80 ± 3.21 in the post-test. The mean score for sexual function showed an increasing trend, increasing from 18.06 ± 2.29 in the pre-test to 23.07 ± 0.91 in the post-test. There was no significant difference in the mean score of the post-test compared to the pre-test and follow-up in the control group (p < 0.05).ConclusionMICBT can be used in conjunction with pharmaceuticals and medical treatments to improve the psychological symptoms of women with breast cancer, according to this study’s results.Trial registration (IRCT20160103025817N6). 2022-04-06.

The Effect of Using Repair Strategies on Seventh-Grade Students’ Writing Performance

This study examined the potential effect of using Repair strategies on Jordanian EFL seventh-grade students' writing performance. A quasi-experimental design and two groups were employed. For this study, two full sections of grade seven from Al-Rashedia Secondary School for Girls were selected randomly. Thirty students were assigned as the control group and thirty students as the experimental group. The pre-/post-writing test was designed in order to fulfill the study's objectives. Furthermore, the experimental group received instruction using Repair strategies, whereas the control group received instruction using conventional methods of instruction suggested in the Teacher's Book. Results demonstrated that Repair strategies improved students' writing performance. The researchers recommended utilizing Repair strategies on different writing genres instead of traditional instructional writing strategies.

Development of Social Emotional Based Book Activity: Product Validity

Indonesia is in the fifth highest position out of 78 countries where most of the students experience bullying. The Ministry of Education and Culture has issued various policies intended to overcome this problem, one of which is establishing the Pancasila student profile as the vision of Indonesian education. To support this, educators are needed who have high qualifications, competence, and dedication in carrying out their professional duties. Based on extracting information from preliminary research that has been carried out by researchers, the main problem faced by early childhood teachers is the lack of references regarding activities that can be carried out by early childhood teachers to realize the themes set by the Ministry in realizing an integrated Pancasila student profile, teaching media, and evaluation tools. This research aims to produce an activity book for teachers based on social emotional learning, which has been proven to be practical and effective in increasing the competency of early childhood postal teachers, and to produce an activity book for students based on social emotional learning which has an impact on the growth and development of Pancasila student profiles for PAUD students. The data collection and analysis methods used in the first year were documentation methods to obtain data on teaching materials before they were developed, questionnaires to obtain expert validation data, and readability by partner teachers. Reading the Visual: An Introduction to Teaching Multimodal Literacy

This is a book review of the book, Reading the Visual: An Introduction to Teaching Multimodal Literacy by Frank Serafini. It is a 189-page book published in 2014 by Teachers College Press. It discusses the evolving concept of literacy in the age of multimodality. Organized into three parts and framed by a prologue and an epilogue, the book begins with an introduction that sets the stage for understanding the multimodal world and its relevance to educators. The first part lays a theoretical foundation for multimodality, guiding educators in their instructional approaches. The second part presents a practical framework for engaging with multimodal texts, highlighting the significance of picture books in literacy education and exploring how students can interact with various multimodal formats both as consumers and producers. The final part examines ten distinct types of multimodal ensembles, including diverse formats like picture books (postmodern, wordless, historical fiction, informational), illustrated novels, graphic novels, cartoons, comics, advertisements, news reports, films, and digital media. In the closure, a helpful glossary provides readers with a comprehensive understanding of multimodal configurations and visual meaning-making systems.

Development of Pop-up Book Illustrations as Educational Media for Child Reproductive Health

The incidence of sexual crimes against children and the prevalence of health-risk behaviors resulting from a lack of reproductive health education media have been identified from an early age as problems that must be followed up immediately. Instilling conception from an early age in children regarding reproductive health education, which is still taboo in most Indonesian societies, is an indication of research achievements that are relevant to be applied in social sciences and humanity. This research aims to test the feasibility of the pop-up book with the title “Yours” (Reproductive Health Education Book) for the age group of children over 6 years. The research method applied in this study is the research and development (R&amp;D) method with the 4D flow (define, design, development, and dissemination). The pop-up book product with the title Pop Up Yours is a product created by the author and has never been tested for feasibility before. The results showed that the Pop Up Book “Yours” can be a medium for reproductive health education in children with the results of testing on 30 children(n=30) aged 9 years, an increase in knowledge of 93.3% was observed. Based on the results of the feasibility test, it can be seen that the “Yours” Pop Up Book is suitable for use by groups of children over 6 years old with the important concern of using this pop-up book under parental guidance.&#x0D; Keywords: pop-up book, child, reproductive health

Sosialisasi Kesehatan Reproduksi Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Lifestyle Remaja Yang Sehat dan Unggul Di Desa Tuah Mesade

Period most vulnerable to experiencing reproductive health problems such as early pregnancy, unsafe abortion which can cause the death of mother and child, depression, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), sexual harassment, infertility, and malignancies such as cervical cancer. Adolescents begin to focus on behavior that is associated with adult status, namely smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs, and engaging in promiscuous sexual acts which are quite disturbing. Community Service "Reproductive Health Socialization as an Effort to Improve the Healthy and Excellent Lifestyle of Adolescents in Tuah Mesade Village was held on 9-11 February 2024 with a total of 30 participants. Socialization is provided by the community service team regarding the introduction of male and female reproductive organs, how to care for reproductive organs, nutrition in reproductive health, and sexually transmitted infections. The extension participants seemed enthusiastic about the materials presented by the resource persons and were able to be actively involved, so this extension activity took place in a two-way system and many participants asked questions. The presentation of the counseling material was followed by discussion, ice breaking, and distribution of door prizes in the form of a book with the title "Teaching Book on Nutrition in Reproductive Health" to participants who were active during the discussion activities.&#x0D; &#x0D;

Vyatka priest, educator and methodist teacher N. N. Blinov

Introduction. One of the active processes of humanization of education in modern conditions is an appeal to the best achievements of the past, to the works of representatives of Russian, including regional pedagogy, whose creative searches were permeated with the ideas of humanism, concern for the upbringing and education of a person. Genuine interest is aroused by the multifaceted pedagogical and methodological activities of the famous Vyatka priest, zemstvo figure and methodist teacher N. N. Blinov (1839-1917), who clearly manifested himself as a practical teacher, a methodologist of primary education at the All-Russian level, the author of numerous educational books, an educator and researcher of the history of the Udmurt people. Materials and methods. The author uses as research methods: analysis of historical and pedagogical literature, biographical and historical methods, axiological (value) approach to the study of historical and pedagogical material. In his work, the author used a number of publications by foreign and Russian authors. Results. The period of activity of N. N. Blinov coincided with the time of activation of the development of education in Russia. In the Russian provinces, local methodologists in the field of education actively worked, – authors of textbooks and the first alphabets, mainly for the so–called "small", i.e. non-Russian, peoples. Blinov was one of the most prominent representatives of the Russian regional enlightenment in the second half of the XIX – first two decades of the XX centuries. His activities were of a multilateral nature. Russian Russian was the author of textbooks for Russian and Udmurt children, the organizer of rural schools, and his local history work was highly appreciated by the Russian Imperial Geographical Society. Especially his books "Learning – light" and the first Udmurt alphabet "Lydzon" should be highlighted. Discussion. In N. N. Blinov's method of teaching reading, the presence of such a new element in literacy teaching for that time as a clearly established and filled with concrete content step-by-step, currently known as "algorithmization", is original and valuable. At the same time, the desire to establish strict stages in the assimilation of letters was inevitably accompanied by the need to introduce words whose meaning was still unknown to children. Conclusion. Blinov's fruitful scientific, methodological and practical pedagogical activity, his local history work are a vivid phenomenon in the history of Russian provincial education. His methodological views remain relevant up to the present time. Vyatka educator contributed to the development of Udmurt culture and literature by being the author of original ethnographic, dramatic, historical and biographical works. His turbulent, eventful life deserves further study, as well as his numerous works.
