PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS DAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI SISWA KELAS VIII-6 SMP NEGERI 1 TEBING TINGGI

The purpose of this study was to improve science process skills and biology learning outcomes of students in grades VIII - 6 SMP Negeri 1 Kota Tebing Tinggi. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research was conducted in two cycles. To obtain research data, data collection was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques to determine science process skills and student learning outcomes. The results showed that with the application of the Discovery Learning learning model to improve science process skills and student learning outcomes with the total score obtained in the first cycle of students' science process skills with a percentage of 66%, cycle II increased to 86.66% while learning outcomes which is obtained by students as seen from the average value and value of classical completeness of student learning as follows: by percentage, the average value in the first cycle is 54.40%, the second cycle is 72.40%. While the percentage of classical completeness in the first cycle was 52%, the second cycle was 80%. Thus, the use of the Discovery Learning Learning Model can be recommended to be applied as an alternative learning model in schools. Keywords: Discovery Learning, Skills, Learning Outcomes

Peningkatan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Biologi melalui Group Investigation

Abstrak
 Hasil belajar biologi peserta didik yang masih rendah (di bawah KKM) disebabkan oleh beberapa hal, baik yang berasal dari peserta didik, guru maupun sarana dan prasarana yang kurang dimanfaatkan. Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran biologi dengan pendekatan kooperatif tipe GI (Group Investigation). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan dan empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA-2 yang berjumlah 30 orang, yang terdiri 7 laki-laki dan 23 perempuan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar yang berupa tes objektif berbentuk pilihan ganda dan essai atau uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI (Group Investigation) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil siklus 1 aktivitas sebesar 76,67 persen, ketuntasan belajar klasikal 80 persen dengan rerata 74,61. Dan pada siklus 2 aktivitas sebesar 90 persen, ketuntasan belajar klasikal 93,33 persen dengan rerata 80,83 Dengan demikian siklus 2 sudah memenuhi target indikator pencapaian hasil (IPH), karena telah mencapai lebih dari 85 persen. Terdapat korelasi (hubungan) dengan kategori tinggi antara aktivitas dan hasil belajar yaitu sebesat 0,820 pada siklus 1 dan 0,854 pada siklus 2.

The implementation of SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) research method as the effort to improve student learning outcomes of Biology subject

This study aims to determine the use of SQ3R learning method on biology learning outcomes of students at State High School 1 Bandar the subject matter of food digestion system and determine the barriers of SQ3R learning method on biology subject of State High school 1 Bandar. This research is quantitative research. This research subject is 33 students in State High School 1 Bandar with the composition of 11 male students and 22 female students in second semester of 2018/2019 academic year. The result is implementation on learning methodology of SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) as an effort to improve student learning outcomes on the subject material of human digestive system, consider as an effective learning method. It can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students within the application of the SQ3R learning method (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) especially on the subject matter of the human digestive system have been increased.

HUBUNGAN KECERDASAN NATURALISTIK DAN MINAT BELAJAR DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI SISWA SMA DI KOTA LUWUK

The success of any learning objective is measured from the students’ learning outcomes, which could be influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors capable of affecting students’ learning outcomes include naturalistic intelligence and learning interest. Hence, the purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between naturalistic intelligence and learning interest, with biology learning outcomes of students in Luwuk City. This was an ex post facto study with a research population of eleventh grade students of Mathematics and Natural Sciences High School in Luwuk City in the 2019/2020 academic year. A proportional random sampling method was used to select 235 out of the 566 students of the grade, as the research subjects. The data collection techniques employed include online questionnaires and documentation, while the analysis techniques used were descriptive and inferential statistics. Based on the results, there was a very low relationship between naturalistic intelligence and biology learning outcomes, there was a low relationship between learning interest with biology learning outcomes, as well as between naturalistic intelligence and learning interest with biology learning outcomes of high school students in Luwuk City.

Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Guided Note Taking (GNT) untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas X IPA SMA Satria Makassar

Abstract. This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning outcomes of class X IPA SMA Satria Makassar through the use of Guided Note Taking (GNT) learning models. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPA SMA Satria Makassar for the odd semester in academic year 2018/2019 which consists of 20 students. The data collection techniques include learning activity data obtained through observation sheets and data on student biology learning outcomes obtained using student biology learning outcomes tests which are then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of observations of student learning activities showed generally an increase from cycle I to cycle II in each student learning activity observed. The results of quantitative descriptive statistical analysis of the students' biology learning outcomes indicate that the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle were 54.0% and in the second cycle were 78.7%. so that the percentage obtained increase in student biology learning outcomes by 24.7%. The Correlation Between Biology Learning Outcomes and Senior High School Students’ Self Concept

This study aimed to understand the correlation between academic self-concept and biology learning outcomes on high school students at virus material. The design used in this study was correlational. This study used descriptive quantitative as its method. The subjects of this study were tenth-grade students of senior high school in Tangerang Regency. The subjects of this study consisted of 135 respondents men and women, there were 102 respondents were taken as the sample through a simple random sampling technique. The data were obtained using the instrument of academic self-concept and students' learning outcomes on virus material. The learning outcomes were based on the multiple-choice test. After that, the obtained data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment (PPM) of the SPSS 16 version. The results show that there is a positive and significant correlation between academic self-concept and biology learning outcomes of students with the coefficiency (r x1y ) of 0.553

Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Jigsaw Dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas XI

The aims of this study were to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills and biology learning outcomes of XI grade students of SMA Negeri 5 Rejang Lebong through the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model. Jigsaw learning model is a learning model that not only provides opportunities for students to develop cognitive abilities, but also develops social activities. This type of research conducted in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 2 Cycles. The subjects of this class action research were 19th grade students of Natural Sciences 2 with a total of 19 students. This subject selection is because based on the average grade of class, class XI IPA 2 has the lowest average value. The test instrument used consisted of tests of critical thinking skills and learning achievement tests. The results showed the average value of students critical thinking skills in the first cycle was 67.78. In cycle II the average value of students critical thinking skills was 84,706. The average value of student learning outcomes in the first cycle is 66.4 with classical learning completeness is 30%. In the second cycle was 82.7 with a classical learning completeness of 79.31%. Based on student value data it is concluded that the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model can improve critical thinking skills and biology learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 5 Rejang Lebong.

Improving Student Biology Learning Outcomes through STAD Type Cooperative Learning on Plant Material

The learning process carried out at school is expected to be able to increase the learning activities and learning outcomes of students. Student biology learning outcomes and activities at SMAN 1 Koto XI Tarusan are still not satisfactory. The methods and strategies used so far have not been able to improve students' learning activities and outcomes. One of the efforts to increase the activities and learning outcomes of students is through STAD type cooperative learning and the internet as a source of teaching materials. This research was conducted in the even semester of Academic Year 2011/2012 in Class X.7 of SMAN 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research data were obtained through observation sheets and learning outcomes tests given at the end of the cycle. The results of the analysis of the data cycle I and cycle II showed an increase in student learning activities and learning outcomes. Student learning activities have increased by 8%, and student learning outcomes have increased by 10%. It can be concluded that the use of STAD cooperative learning types and the internet as a source of teaching materials can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students in class X.7 of SMAN 1 Koto XI Tarusan.

The Use Of Probing-Prompting Learning Strategy To Improve Biology Learning Outcomes Of Class XI IPA 3 Students At SMA Negeri 5 Kendari

The purpose of the study was to improve the biology learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA 3 at SMA Negeri 5 Kendari. This study was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2013/2014. The research design of this study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with three learning cycles. Each cycle goes through four stages: (1) planning; (2) implementing actions; (3) observation and evaluation; and (4) reflection. The data source of this study were students who were measured by using the learning outcomes test of the cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Biology learning outcomes of Class XI IPA3 students at SMA Negeri 5 Kendari taught using the Probing-Prompting learning strategy showed an increase in each cycle namely cycle I by 71.78%, cycle II by 86.35%, and in cycle III it reached an average of 87 47%. Based on the results of the study concluded that the Probing-Prompting learning strategy could improve the learning outcomes of biology students of class XI IPA3 SMA Negeri 5 Kendari. Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran GQGA (Giving Question and Getting Answer) terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the GQGA (Giving Question and Getting Answer) learning model to the learning outcomes of Biology students in class X MIPA SMAN 1 Payakumbuh District. This research is a quantitative study, using quasi-experimental methods (quasi experiment) with Randomized posstest only control design. The study population was students. Obtaining samples with random sampling techniques. Based on these techniques, obtained class X MIPA 1 as an experimental class of 22 samples and class X MIPA 2 as a control class of 25 samples. Data analysis technique was performed using t-test with α = 0.05. The results of data analysis obtained t-count = 2.52 ˃ t-table = 1.67 at 95% confidence level, which means the hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is an influence of GQGA learning models on student Biology learning outcomes. The conclusion of the application of the GQGA learning model has a significant influence on student Biology learning outcomes.

Trigger Learning Outcomes through Contextual Teaching and Learning Assisted Performance Assessment

This study aims to map the effect of CTL learning assisted by performance assessment on biology learning outcomes in terms of student creativity. This research was conducted on class XI students of SMA N 1 Kuta Utara in the academic year 2018/2019 by involving a sample of 76 samples taken by the technique of multi-stage random sampling. Learning CTL assisted by performance assessment as an independent variable, creativity as a moderator variable, and biology learning outcomes as a dependent variable. Biology learning outcomes data were captured by tests and creativity data were captured by questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability coefficients. The collected data were analyzed using parametric statistics in the form of two-way Anova, which previously carried out prerequisite tests in the form of data normality test and variance homogeneity test. The results of this study indicate that: biology learning outcomes of students who follow CTL assisted by performance assessment are better than biology learning outcomes of students who follow conventional learning and there is an interaction between learning approaches and the level of students' creativity in their influence on biology learning outcomes. To obtain more optimal learning outcomes, it is recommended to consider the level of student creativity. Keywords: CTL, performance assessment, learning outcomes

Pengaruh Lingkungan Belajar Dan Konsep Diri Terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa SMP Negeri I Maluku Tengah

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the learning environment on the learning outcomes of Central Moluccas I Middle School student biologists. Knowing the effect of self-concept on the biology learning outcomes of students of Central Maluku Middle School I and find out the effect of the learning environment and self-concept together on the biology learning outcomes of Central Maluku Middle School I students. This type of research is ex-postfacto research with data collection techniques through questionnaires and student test scores of descriptive and inferential data analysis techniques (multiple regression). The results show that. (1) there is a significant influence between the learning environment on the biology learning outcomes of Central Maluku Middle School I students, (2) there is a significant influence between self-concept towards student biology learning outcomes, and (3) there is a significant influence between the learning environment and simultaneously on the achievement of biology learning.

Perbedaan Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa antara Model Problem Based Learning dengan Model Inquiry Learning

This study aims to determine the improvement of student biology learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and Inquiry Learning model in Class X of Lubuklinggau 2 Public High School. This research is a quantitative descriptive research using quasi-experimental methods. The population in this study were all students of Class X Lubuklinggau 2 State Senior High School, amounting to 391 students, while the research samples were class X.7 amounting to 39 students as experimental class I and class X.10 totaling 40 students as experimental class II obtained using techniques cluster sampling. The research data was obtained by the test technique in the form of essay questions. Data analysis techniques with t test. The results of the study, based on the results of the analysis with the t test on the final value, can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted because of the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.513 greater than α = 0.05. Conclusion, the increase in biology learning outcomes of students with Problem Based Learning learning models is higher than the increase in student biology learning outcomes with the Inquiry Learning model

UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI SISWA MELALUI PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL DENGAN MEDIA POWERPOINT

This study aims to determine whether learning through a contextual approach with PowerPoint media can improve student biology learning outcomes on the subject of the Ecosystem. The study was conducted at Sibabangun Public High School 1. The population in this study were all senior students X SMA 1 Sibabangun which consisted of 3 classes. From the population a sample of 2 classes was determined, namely the experimental class and the control class. Both classes were given different treatment, the experimental class was given teaching through a contextual approach with PowerPoint media, while the control class was given teaching through the lecture method. From the data analysis for the experimental class, post-tests were obtained (83.56 ± 7.54). In the control class, post-test was obtained (68.93 ± 7.82). Both data are normally distributed. From the hypothesis testing obtained thitung = 3.419 and at the significance level α = 0.05 with dk = 58 obtained t table = 1.574. Because tcount> ttable then tcount is in the reception area Ha. This means that learning through a contextual approach with PowerPoint media is better than learning through the lecture method. Learning through contextual approaches with PowerPoint media can improve student biology learning outcomes by 60.31%. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Contextual, PowerPoint

The Effect of Learning Models and Spatial Intelligences to Biology Learning Outcomes by Controlling the Initial Knowledge

This research proposes to define the influence of learning designs and spatial intelligence on biology learning outcomes by controlling initial knowledge. This study was conducted at Senior High School 4 Kendari from September to December 2017. This study applies a quasi-experimental study by level 2x2. The study sample consisted of 372 students randomly selected. The data were analysed using ANCOVA and a further test with using the T-Ancova test at the 0.05 significance level. The consequences of the study indicate that: (1) Â Â Â Biology student learning outcomes that learned with project-based learning model are more significant than the pupils that learned with the discovery model; (2) There is an influence of the synergy among learning models and spatial intelligence on biology learning outcomes, (3) Biology learning outcomes of students with high spatial intelligence taught by project-based learning models more elevated than the students learned the discovery learning models, and (4) There are no differences in biology student learning outcomes with low spatial intelligence that learned with project-based learning model by discovery learning after controlling for initial knowledge. https://doi.org/10.26803/ijlter.18.6.2

Hubungan Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanete Rilau Kabupaten Barru

Abstract. This research is a correlational research that aims to determine the relationship of emotional intelligence with student biology learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tanete Rilau of Barru District. Population in this research was class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanete Rilau, with total of sample are 60 students selected by random sampling technique that was random sample determination. The research instrument in question is a questionnaire of students' emotional intelligence and learning outcomes on the material of the respiratory system, digestive system and excretion system. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using normality test, linearity test and correlation test using Product Moment Correlation. Based on the results of data analysis using SPSS obtained a significance value of 0.006 <α (0.05) indicated that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and student learning outcomes. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and biology learning outcomes student class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanete Rilau Barru District. Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) Terhadap Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi STKIP Pembangunan Indonesia Makassar

Abstract. This research is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the Differences in Student Learning Outcomes of Biology Education STKIP Indonesian Development based on Gender Differences through the Thisresearch is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the positive effect of Think Pair Share (TPS) Cooperative Learning Models on the Motivation and Learning Outcomes of Biology Education Students STKIP Indonesia Makassar Development. The subjects of this study were students of VIE class as experimental class and VID class as control class with 25 students each. The instruments used in this study were motivation questionnaires and student biology learning outcomes tests. Data were obtained through two instruments, namely learning motivation questionnaire and learning outcome test. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis of the motivation value of the control class average value is on a scale of 4.08 with good category and the experimental class the average value is on a scale of 4.30 with a very good category. The results of descriptive analysis of the value of the learning outcomes of the control class an average value of 70.56 and the experimental class the average value of 79.04. The results of hypothesis testing are obtained by Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 <α = 0.05, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that there is a positive influence on the application of Cooperative Learning Model Type Think Pair Share (TPS) to the learning outcomes of biological education students in STKIP Pembangunan Indonesia Makassar. Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe NHT Disertai Media Visual Terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa SMAN 4 Kota Solok

This research started from the problem of low result Biology student learning, which is caused by several factors, that is: learning in one direction from the teacher to the students. Teacher becomes a major role in the learning process (teacher centered), so that make students become passive and less active in learning, the model used by teacher less varied, when the techers explains lessons in the classroom, many students who daydream, annoy another friends and tell stories behind the class. Teacher as one determinant of the success of learning should be able to make students more active, motivated, active and have the competence about material being taught. One model of learning that can improve student learning outcomes is a cooperative learning mode NHT type accompanied by visual media. The problem in this research is “ whether Biology student learning outcomes using cooperative learning model NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than of Biolgy students learning outcomes using cooperative learning model NHT type without visual media?”. This study aims to determine whether the result of studying Biology student using cooperative learning model NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than the results of studying Biology students using cooperative learning model NHT type without visual media. The study population was all students of class X SMAN 4 solok city in academic year 2015/2016 which amounted to 176 people. Determine the experimental class and control class is taken by random sampling. X 6 class as an experimental class with 25 studentsand classes X 3 as a control class with 25 student. The findings of this study indicate that t count = 2,09 dan t table = 1,68, this indicates that t count > t table then the hypothesis is accepted at the 95% confidance level. Based on research result, it can be concluded that the results of studying Biology students using model cooperative learning NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than of Biology students learning outcomes using model cooperative learning NHT type without visual media in class X SMAN 4 solok city.

Upaya Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas X Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Student Acilitator And Explaining

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of biology learning outcomes of students of class X SMA 7 Lubuklinggau state by applying model learning student facilitator and explaining. This research uses Classroom Action Research Method (PTK), which consists of 2 cycles where each cycle consists of four steps: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection was done with teacher activity observation sheets and daily test pieces. The subjects of the study were: X grade students of SMA Negeri 7 Lubuklinggau were 38 students. From result of research known that by applyinglearning model studentfacilitator and explaining, student who reach KKM from 52,88 percent in cycle I become 86,21 percent in cycle II. Based on the data analysis can be concluded that by applying model learning student facilitator and explaining the quality of learning on Biology subjects in class X SMA 7 Lubuklinggau increase. The big increase of learning result of class X student of SMA Negeri 7 Lubuklinggau on biology learning using learning model student facilitator and explaining equal to 33,33 percent. This shows that there is an increase of biology learning result of grade X SMA Negeri 7 Lubuklinggau by applying learning model student facilitator and explaining.

PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN LEARNING CYCLE DAN LOCUS OF CONTROL SISWA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA

<p>: This study aims to determine: (1) Differences biology student learning outcomes that dibelajarkan with learning strategies Learning Cycle better than students who study with strategei conventional learning, (2) The difference of students who have internal locus of control to obtain the results of studying biology better of the students who have external locus of control, (3) Interaction between learning strategies and locus of control in giving effect to biology students' learning outcomes. The research was conducted in the Junior School I Binjai. The population of this study are all eighth graders Binjai SMP Negeri 1 212 people. Samples were taken with a random cluster technique samplig and further through the draw, the class VIII was selected as the class-2 treated with the learning strategies and classroom Learning Cycle VIII-3 was chosen as the class that were treated with conventional pembelajara. Locus of Control Data was collected using a questionnaire and data with the test results to study Biology.Instruments used after validated by the validator and test instruments. The test results show the distribution of the data requirements for learning outcomes Biology and Locus of Control is the normal distribution and homogeneous. The research hypothesis was tested by using ANOVA test followed by Tukey test. These results indicate (1) learning strategy gives a significantly different influence on the result of class VIII studying biology SMP Negeri 1 Binjai (Fcount 6.110>Ftable 4.10), (2) Locus of Control gave a significantly different effect on learning outcomes Biology class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Binjai (Fcount 19.703>Ftable 7.35), (3) There is interaction between the learning strategy with the Locus of Control students on the results of class VIII studying biology SMP Negeri 1 Binjai (Fcount 6.255> 4.10 Ftable ), (4) The study of biology students in the class who have a Learning Cycle Internal Locus of Control was higher ( = 81.50) compared with students who have an External Locus of Control on Conventional class ( = 67.50), higher than students who have the Internal Locus of Control on Conventional class ( = 74.32) and higher than students who have an External Locus of Control on Conventional class ( = 70.23).</p><p> </p><p>Kata Kunci: Learning Cycle, Locus ofControl, IPA</p>
