Context and relevance. This article examines the theatrical reforms of Luigi Pirandello and Antonin Artaud. Objective. To identify similar techniques, methods, and approaches to transforming a performance to transform the audience's value hierarchy. Hypothesis. Both theatrical figures understood theater as an opportunity to emotionally impact the audience, with the goal of penetrating the depths of the human unconscious and returning modern man to basic cultural values. Methods and materials. To achieve the research objectives, the author applied comparative, axiological, dialectical, and cultural methods to analyze the creative ideas of two outstanding theatrical figures who greatly influenced contemporary theatrical art. Primary attention is paid to the value aspects reflected in the playwrights' linguistic and technical methods. The comparative method facilitated the study of the characteristics of the theatrical work of Pirandello and Artaud, identifying the common and specific features in their concepts of performance. Dialectical and cultural methods were applied for a dynamic study of the problem in a specific cultural environment. Results. The study revealed that Pirandello and Artaud deconstructed performances so that, without being distracted by the plot, audiences would recognize their dependence on existing, soulless norms and attempt to reclaim their lost identity. The playwrights used words in performances in a new way, seeking to diminish the role of language, believing that words no longer express the essence of the individual, but only the social mask. They explore the relationship between mask and personality, in which the mask assumes a leading role, resulting in the dehumanization of culture. Pirandello and Artaud understand the dangers of "entertainment culture," the inculcation of banalities and deceptive ease of perception, which contribute to modern man's withdrawal from reality. They consider their exalted performances an effective means of transforming contemporary society. During a period of cultural crisis, they were among the first to understand the need for fundamental change in society and attempted to transform it through innovative performances. Conclusions. Despite their different approaches to the use of innovative technologies and their belonging to different nations, Pirandello and Artaud set themselves the same creative goals: to awaken public consciousness with the help of exalted, harsh theatre, and to return society to fundamental values.

The linguistic worldview reflects national thinking through linguistic structures and cultural codes. Research used comparative analysis of the Russian and English languages with semantic, grammatical, and conceptual approaches. Key differences in mental processes emerged: the synthetic character of the Russian language contrasts with the analytical structure of English. Nation-specific concepts were identified - soul, longing, will in Russian culture, and privacy, efficiency, fair play in English, reflecting basic cultural values. Grammatical features demonstrate different ways of reality conceptualization: free word order, preposition system, and negation constructions form a phenomenological worldview. Results confirm linguistic structure influence on national mentality, confirming the need for linguocultural specifics in intercultural communication.

n the context of considering the state national policy of Russia, the authors identify the specifics of regulatory framework for preserving and developing the culture of indigenous peoples of Siberia. The authors highlight the cultural features for determining the official status of indigenous peoples as collective subjects of national policy. Moreover, the regulatory bases for self-identification of these peoples as a separate community in the context of transformation of basic cultural values and loss of native language, which initially served as the main indicator of the people’s identification, are defined as a key factor in preserving and developing ethnic culture. The importance of preserving the unique socio-cultural space of the indigenous peoples of Siberia is updated, taking into account their traditional nature management based on a variety of economic and cultural practices. In this regard, the authors note that it is necessary to coordinate development of the regions with their unique specifics and the specifics of implementing the national policy of the state as a whole, which allows not only to follow the tasks determined by state legislation, but also to choose those priorities that contribute to the transmission and consolidation of culture of the indigenous peoples of Siberia within general strategy of the state national policy of the Russian Federation. In order to optimize these processes, the need to search for new approaches of implementing the state national policy in relation to indigenous peoples is identified in connection with the ongoing revision of those basic liberal principles on the basis of which the regulatory mechanisms for managing cultural changes in Russia were created.

The question of moral decadence is not new to society. At every point in global history, states and nations have raised and discussed the problem of moral decay. They also hold that society regularly transforms and adopts certain moral lines.Life in the 21 st century differs in several aspects from pre-21 st century in terms of culture, technology, education, healthcare, amongst others (Alwala, 2021).Social ills like drug addiction, immoral sex, indiscipline (Ngwokabuenui, 2015), corruption, nonrespect of basic human and cultural values, violence, crime, war, less concern for the wellbeing of others have become rampant.Moral education is gradually becoming an area of less concern, since almost nobody cares.Money and material wellbeing are priority goals for millions of people who will easily give up their moral principles for financial gain (Chinedu, Ede, & Ozioma, 2020).But, despite these gloomy images of moral decay, new research evidence shows that persistent blame about moral decadence in society is somewhat an illusion, with the data suggesting that as years go by, morality either remains constant or improves (Mastroianni & Gilbert, 2023).While also acknowledging trends in evidence about moral decadence through archival and survey data, the authors advise people to guard against biased exposure to information and biased memory for information. This is where educational radio comes in to fill the gaps and give directions on information and education about moral principles which should form the foundation for young people and society.Aspects of moral decadence amongst young people in Cameroon are evident.Newspapers, radio, TV, and social media have often reported inappropriate behaviour of young people, especially in the school milieu.Like Cameroon, these trends are experienced elsewhere around the world.Haque and Karim (2018), for instance, affirm that in Bangladesh, 30% of the total population is youth; but unfortunately, a significant percentage of that population is affected by moral decadence. The

In Turkey Romani people have preserved their basic cultural values throughout ages, in fact ever since the Byzantium times. Their origins can be traced back to India, from where they somehow dispersed practically everywhere around the globe. Certain tribes kept living as nomadic people until fairly recent times; while others got settled collectively in districts of certain provinces and counties. In Istanbul sedentarized Romanies essentially pertain to some old neighborhoods near the ancient citywall. The bigger society used to attribute some undeserved negative traits to those jovial, carefree communities; while some of their true virtues (like music-talent or skilled handicrafts) could never be contested, enjoying universal appreciation. In this particular study; Romany people are handled from a sociologicay viewpoint in as much detail as possible or appropriate for the scope of an academic article. The major sources hereby consulted comprise an expert work in French by the prominant social scientist François de Vaux de Foletier, as well as a few volumes of the masterpiece of a social-historian, late Reşat Ekrem Koçu, namely İstanbul Ansiklopedisi (The Encyclopedia of İstanbul). (The publishment of the precious serial came to an end with the untimely-death of the chief-editor). Auxuliary complementary literature is also included. The author of this article did insert a sequence of his own life experiences/Erlebnis, as well. The outdated-and-despised word “Gypsy” is mostly omitted in the text, except solely in obligatory quotations. Instead, it is replaced by euphumistic words, above all “Romany”.

The article considers the theoretical and methodological aspects of using the ethnometric approach in marketing activities. The close connection between ethnometry and marketing strategy in the conditions of sociocultural differentiation of the marketing environment is substantiated, which is expressed in the fact that ethnometric studies allow a deeper understanding of cultural features and preferences of different consumers. This created the prerequisites for identifying and understanding the basic cultural parameters that serve as the basis for the development of effective marketing strategies. The main foreign and domestic concepts were studied and the existing theories based on ethnometric studies were summarized and the relationships between them were substantiated. Relationships between ethnometric parameters and the development of marketing strategies are revealed through the consideration of cultural influences on consumers. This approach allows companies to effectively respond to socio-cultural differences and individualize their strategies to best meet the needs of different cultural groups. The basic cultural values that exert the greatest influence on the marketing strategy are analyzed. The basic socio-cultural differences and socio-cultural interactions that take place in the marketing activities of domestic companies are determined. A list of universal cultural values of the consumer, adapted to the global marketing environment, which create the basis for choosing a marketing strategy, is offered. An integrated combination with marketing strategies will allow companies to remain relevant in different cultural environments.

By utilising the theoretical framework of the science of international relations and by relying on selected scientific methods, such as the content analysis, comparative and inductive method, the paper analyses the security cooperation between Turkiye and the European Union.. The analysis comprises two levels: at the first one, the focus is on the position and status of the Republic of Turkiye within relevant EU Common and Security Policy structures, such as PESCO projects, European Defense Agency Programmes, and military missions and operations led by the EU or within the EU - NATO partnership or the EU security and defense industry programmes; at the second one, the subject of the analysis are the positions of Turkiye and the EU regarding the most important issues of contemporary international relations and security, such as the Ukrainian war, the conflict in Gaza and general relations in the Middle East, the relationship with the Russian Federation, as well as the most important factors determining the positions of the two sides in this context. One of the conclusions of the analysis implies that the great potential for the EU - Turkiye security cooperation has not been efficiently fulfilled because of numerous reasons, such as historically accumulated disagreements between Turkiye, on the one side, and some EU member states, on the other, differences between the two sides in the field of their identities and basic social, cultural and political values, as well as a continuously false EU strategic approach towards Turkiye and its status regarding the EU structures and policies. The EU must recognise Turkiye in its full capacity as a regional power and treat it as an equal, constructive partner. If not, especially taking into account monumental global geopolitical changes, the relations between the two sides might become even more deteriorated, with further negative impacts on their security cooperation.

Abstract Monsters can be divided into two categories: human-like and non-human. Non-human monsters tend to be chthonic beings that are associated with the earth and natural forces. Humanoid monsters represent metaphorical transformations of humanity itself, and as such reveal basic cultural values, such as sociability, while displaying their opposite. Humanoid monsters are the more terrifying, precisely because we recognize ourselves in them, although in an uncanny refraction. In the epic poem Beowulf and in myth and ritual of the Kwakiutl and Heiltsuk cultures of the Northwest Coast, manlike monsters play a central role.

Comparative studies fascinate scholars working in various branches of human activity. In linguistics, onlycomparison helps find out both common and distinctive features of the languages and trace their interconnections as well as specificity. The present paper deals with the comparative research of two distantly related languages - English and Ukrainian - on the material of adjectives denoting a successful person/thing. The topic in question is relevant and contributes to further studies of lexical and comparative semantics, cross-language and crosscultural communication, lexicography, etc. The adjectives in question occupy significant places in the vocabulary of the languages under study. The concept of success belongs to basic social and cultural values and is studied in philosophy, sociology, psychology, linguistics and other sciences. Having introduced the methodology of formalized analysis of lexical semantics, one of the requirements of which is a formal criterion – belonging of the lexical units to one part of speech – the author of this paper collected, analyzed and classified the obtained language material from lexicographical sources. Depending on the degree of polysemy, three groups in English and two in Ukrainian have been formed. Each of them possesses its own features alongside with their common characteristics. Comparative research of the definite fragment of lexis resulted in in-depth analysis of its system and structural organization, semantic specificity, both common and distinctive featuresas well as its representation in corresponding language and culture bearers’ consciousness.

The conceptual foundations, principles and mechanisms of territorial branding concerning the prospects of rural development in different countries are the subject of the study. The systematization and study of territorial branding problems and experience of the rural areas in Ukraine is the purpose of the paper. The main method of research was the study of the unique experience of individual rural communities. The methodology of the study foresaw the study of the prospects of rural development through the determining the role of territorial branding. Monitoring the potential of territorial branding for rural areas in Ukraine with using SWOT-analysis has shown the uniqueness of risks, limitations and prospects. It had been established that the conditions of neutralization of weaknesses and risks mean the combination of economic (primarily investment), cultural and political initiatives, where a significant role belongs to the effects of community self-organization. At the same time, the prospects are formed from the presence of unique institutional assets, natural, climatic and economic conditions, possible perception of this idea by the rural population which does not contradict the basic cultural values. The emphasis is placed on the fact that the realization of rural development in Ukraine as a national policy should take into account that Ukrainian rural communities remain "difficult", mostly depressed economies, where the level of economic activity is traditionally low and unemployment is high. At the same time, studying the experience of the effectiveness of territorial branding had allowed to generalize and to classify the factors of brand-forming idea in Ukraine. These factors are: 1) a unique institutional history; 2) landscape and recreational potential; 3) special economic behavior of local inhabitants; 4) investment attractiveness of the territory; 5) unique economic specialization of the territory; 6) tourism activity; 7) the role of local government. Significant socio-economic effect of these examples is fixed. The area of application of these results is the activity of local authorities at rural communities, non-governmental organizations and universities, regulatory policy in terms of decentralization.
