Web-Based Task Organizer for Enhanced Productivity

The Web-Based Task Organizer for Enhanced Productivity (WBTO) mainly aims to improve task management and overall increase in productivity. In our system we offer features such as task prioritization, categorization, due dates and recurrence options which is integrated into a user friendly interface. We use a full stack approach using java for the back end logic, JavaScript for a dynamic user interface and a SQL database for preserving data storage. It provides key features like task creation, categorization, prioritization, scheduling and progress tracking and interactive functionalities and ensuring data integrity and privacy. As this not only improves individual productivity but also further provides group work collaboration allowing for much faster task tracking, reminders and analytics which improves overall user experience.

A Comparative Analysis Of Collaborative Filtering Models For Game Recommendation Using Cosine Similarity, SVD, K-Means Clustering And Real-Time Game Insights

This paper presents a study on GameRS, a game recommendation system that employs collaborative filtering techniques, including Cosine Similarity, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), and K-means. Clustering, in conjunction with real-time game insights facilitated by Groq AI. The system integrates data from the RAWG API to provide game recommendations and dynamically retrieves game details, including genres, platforms, reviews, ratings, release dates, trailers, and gameplay mechanics. Furthermore, it presents a novel User Satisfaction Index for Games (USIG), a metric designed to assess anticipated enjoyment by considering factors such as rating, genre similarity, and platform similarity. Users may pose specific inquiries related to games, to which Groq AI provides succinct and accurate answers. GameRS, developed with Streamlit, manages both the front-end interface and back-end logic, allowing users to access recommendations, game details, trailers, and additional features. Evaluation results indicate that Cosine Similarity surpasses alternative methods regarding recall and hit rate, whereas SVD and K-means provide insights into latent user preferences and clustering behaviors.

Real-time availability information is provided, empowering customers to make informed decisions. The secure payment processing feature guarantees a safe and convenient transaction experience, instilling trust and reliability in the system.For administrators, the system includes a robust admin panel that allows for efficient management of bikes, user accounts, and rentals. Medication Recommendation System Using AI

Abstract: In an era marked by the convergence of personal and technical facets of life, the need for a versatile and intelligent companion becomes increasingly apparent. This project introduces the development of a novel Chatbot, aptly named the "Personal and Technical Companion," designed to seamlessly integrate into users' lives by offering personalized support and technical assistance. The Chatbot employs state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to engage users in natural language conversations, providing a unique blend of personal and technical guidance. The system architecture encompasses a user-friendly interface, a robust NLP engine for intent recognition, a dynamic backend server handling logic and personalization, and integration with external services to enrich the user experience. Simultaneously, it serves as a technical companion by offering code assistance, troubleshooting guidance, and recommending relevant learning resources. Implementation leverages cutting-edge technologies, including Python for backend logic, Flask for the server, TensorFlow for NLP processing, and HTML/CSS for the user interface.

Design and Implementation of Computerized Restaurant Table Booking System

The dining landscape has transformed significantly with technological advancements, fundamentally altering how restaurants handle customer reservations. Traditionally, reservations were managed via phone calls or in-person visits, leading to issues like lengthy wait times, uncertain table availability, and limited communication channels. To address these challenges, this paper concentrates on crafting and implementing a Restaurant Table Booking System, aimed at streamlining reservations and enhancing customer experiences. Employing an agile software development methodology ensures flexibility, encourages customer input, and facilitates swift value delivery. Frontend development utilizes HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for an intuitive user interface, while PHP and MySQL handle backend logic and database operations. Implementation emphasizes reliability and security through the Apache web server.

Rancang Bangun Company Profile Berbasis Web Menggunakan Metode Waterfall (Studi Kasus : APM Frozen Food)

This research explores the development of a company profile website with a holistic approach using Bootstrap, CodeIgniter 3, Apache, and MySQL as the technological foundation. The main focus is to optimally integrate the frontend and backend. The research methodology includes in-depth analysis of requirements, responsive design, implementation with CodeIgniter 3 for backend logic, utilization of Apache as a server, and MySQL for efficient database management. Active observations, interviews, and thorough documentation resulted in concrete solutions for this project. The results include not only successful implementation of the latest technology but also strengthened website performance and responsibility. This research has a positive impact by increasing the effectiveness of company website development and creating an integrated and optimally responsive environment for user needs.

Revolutionizing Application Monitoring : A Review of DizBoard's Unified Dashboard Approach

In today's software landscape, the continuous and flawless operation of applications stands as a pivotal requirement. The genesis of the "DizBoard: Server and Database Manager" project stemmed from a pressing necessity to guarantee the seamless functionality and resilience of client-server applications. This imperative emerged from firsthand encounters with the escalating intricacies inherent in modern application ecosystems. An exploration of the existing technological milieu unveiled a diverse array of tools and solutions dedicated to application monitoring. However, the discerned need for a unified dashboard catering to databases, web services, and application servers became increasingly apparent. Current fragmented solutions often resulted in monitoring gaps and an absence of holistic insights into overall application health. The implementation of the "DizBoard: Server and Database Manager" project is geared towards bridging these gaps, addressing limitations highlighted in the literature review. Through a fusion of frontend technologies, Python-backed backend logic, and the automation prowess of shell scripting, this endeavor endeavors to craft a unified dashboard offering real-time visibility into critical components' statuses. This review paper embarks on a journey to expound upon the aspirations and methodologies driving the "DizBoard" project. It aims not only to present a comprehensive view of application health but also to delineate the voids that prevailing technologies leave. Envisioned as a user-friendly and automated monitoring dashboard, "DizBoard: Server and Database Manager" aspires to redefine the paradigm of application health management. Its ultimate goal is to elevate reliability, proactively address issues, and ultimately augment user satisfaction in the realm of application management.

Balancing local vs. remote state allocation for micro-services in the cloud–edge continuum

In the world of cloud technologies, serverless computing has now settled as a stable and promising resident. This gives a cloud provider the flexibility to provide its users with both Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), i.e., the back-end application runs in a dedicated container, or Function-as-a-Service (FaaS), i.e., the back-end logic is offered as elementary functions that are invoked by the client applications. In parallel, edge computing has attracted a significant interest, due its enticing promises of reducing the outbound traffic of telco operators, while at the same time cutting down the user latency. As a result, in the near future, PaaS and FaaS containers are going to cohabit in a versatile computation infrastructure spanning from the far edge up to the cloud. In this paper we propose a mathematical formulation of a resource allocation problem that optimizes the assignment of both types of containers and can be solved efficiently by an edge orchestrator. We evaluate the proposed solution via extensive simulation experiments, which show that our approach, which takes into account the characteristics of PaaS vs. FaaS, provides significant performance benefits compared to less sophisticated strategies, despite its relatively low run-time complexity.

Development of a Web-based System for Matching Losers and Finders of Personal Items

A considerable amount of time is wasted in the process of searching for a missing item and consequently, human schedules are disrupted. This study aimed to design and implement a web-based system for matching losers and finders of personal items using the waterfall model. The modelling language employed in this work was Unified Modeling Language (UML). The server-side was built using the Node.js JavaScript framework to provide backend logic to process information from the client-side and MongoDB database. The client-side was made using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), cascading style sheet (CSS) and JavaScript. The system was evaluated using alpha and beta testing by module testing and getting feedback from users based on some predefined criteria. The developed system was able to match lost items with efficiency and functionality of 80% and 77%, respectively.

A Flexible 18-Channel Multi-Hit Time-to-Digital Converter for Trigger-Based Data Acquisition Systems

This paper presents the design of a low power, compact multi-channel single-shot time-to-digital converter (TDC) capable of handling multiple hits per channel. The system has 17 hit channels and 1 trigger channel and is designed to meet the requirements of the iron calorimeter detector in the India-based neutrino observatory. The TDC core consists of a delay chain stabilized by a delay-locked loop (DLL) and synchronous counters. The digital backend is programmable to allow for multiple configurations during the operation. The common core to all channels with concurrent accessibility, choice of core clock frequency optimizing the trade-offs between performance, power and area, and optimal backend logic result in a compact and low power design. It achieves a single-shot precision better than 65ps. The 0.13 μm chip occupies an active area of 3.72 mm <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> and consumes 3.4 mW per channel. This paper also reviews the theory on how timing precision is defined for a single-shot TDC and explains how the test plan can be devised based on the jitter in the system.

Implementation of Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) Architecture Pattern in the Sistem Informasi Akademik UNIDA Gontor Mobile Application

Software architecture primarily tuned for moderating the rising software complexities and changes. Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) is a software architectural pattern that facilitates a separation of development of the graphical user interface from the development of the back-end logic (the data model). University of Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA Gontor) is having an Academic System called Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) which supports the management of its college’s data administration. Currently, the SIAKAD UNIDA Gontor’s performance is still far from optimal, mainly because some of its features aren’t user-friendly yet, especially when the SIAKAD UNIDA Gontor accessed from the mobile devices. Therefore, this research aims to implement the MVVM architecture pattern in the SIAKAD UNIDA Gontor mobile application, to increase its user-friendly aspect, especially for Android device users. This research is carried out with Waterfall development method, using Kotlin programming language and utilising Android Jetpack. Results from the app testing with Black Box method show that the application is running well and have no error. Next, results from the questionnaire distributed to the users (students, lecturers and BAAK staffs) show that the application run well and satisfying. From those trial results, show that the implementation of MVVM on SIAKAD UNIDA Gontor Android application has been successful according to the scenario and ready to be applied in the even semester of 2019/2020 campus’ academic year and so on (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amoled.sidago). Further research and development, can be directed to the addition of new features and can support another mobile operating system, such as iOS, Tizen, Harmony OS, etc.

On the Communication Variability Analysis of the NeCTAR Research Cloud System

A national research Cloud is being created as part of the National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources (NeCTAR) project, to supply a cost-effective computational infrastructure to Australian scholars. Since it is hard to comprehensively understand the available Cloud resources through the open indicators, we decided to empirically investigate the infrastructural performance of the NeCTAR Research Cloud. In particular, our current evaluation work shows that the communication data throughput vary significantly within and between the five existing Cloud nodes. Although operated as one Cloud system, the NeCTAR Research Cloud might have employed heterogeneous network equipment and/or technologies. As the NeCTAR project is still ongoing, the one-off evaluation results could be quickly out of date, and the evaluation implementations should be frequently repeated or replicated for monitoring or consuming the Cloud services. Thus, unlike the existing evaluation studies that mainly focused on the evaluation results or tools, we emphasize the complete procedure and backend logic of evaluation implementations. Practically, as demonstrated in this paper, the procedure and logic can be recorded into Cloud Evaluation Experiment Methodology-based evaluation templates to facilitate repeatable and comparable Cloud services evaluation.

Macro-models for high-level area and power estimation on FPGAs

This paper presents the high-level equation based area and power macro-models for various RTL level operators on FPGAs. The area model is parameterised with the bit width of the device and the power model takes into account input switching activity and input spatial correlation as well as input bit width. These models are derived by actual synthesis of these RTL operators using back-end logic synthesis and place-and-route tools. Compared with the other approaches, our method generated a uniform macro-model for each operator with fewer coefficients and sometimes lower degrees. It is also easier to analyse the power sensitivity to different parameters.
