대학생들의 창의성에 영향을 미치는 요인

Objectives This study was conducted to identify parental authority, bias against creativity, scientific attitude, and creativity of 152 college students in one city, and to identify the factors influencing their creativity.
 Methods The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 program and descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. As a result, creativity was positively correlated with fa-ther's permissive parental authority, democratic parental authority, and mother's permissive parenting attitude, Authoritative parental authority, democratic parental authority, and scientific attitude.
 Results The factors influencing creativity were gender, mother's authoritative parental authority, and scientific at-titude, and their explanatory power was 34.7%.
 Conclusions Based on the results of this study, creativity can be cultivated by enhancing scientific attitudes by using various teaching methods in major classes.

Investigating the Effect of Using an Interactive e-Book on Academic Achievement, Attitude and Motivation

This study aims to investigate the effect of using an interactive e-book in teaching the “Energy Conversions and Environmental Science” unit of the science course on the academic achievement, attitudes, and motivations of 8th-grade students. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The participants of the research, which was carried out in the 2020-2021 academic year, consisted of 60 secondary school students studying in two secondary schools in the Muradiye district of Van. There were 32 students in the experimental and 28 in the control group. The unit, which lasted six weeks (24 lesson hours), was taught using an interactive e-book for the experimental group, while a science textbook was used for the control group. The “Energy Conversions and Environmental Science Achievement Test”, “Science Attitude Scale”, and “Motivation Scale toward Science Learning” were the three different data collection tools used in the study. The data were analyzed using an unpaired t-test, and it was found that while there was no difference in attitude or motivation between the experimental and control groups, there was a statistically significant difference in academic achievement. These findings are thought to be the result of the students’ anxiety because of the pandemic and the fact that the research was only conducted for one unit.

STUDENT SCIENTIFIC ATTITUDES TO THE VESTA SOFTWARE AS LEARNING MEDIA OF CRYSTAL STRUCTURE

In solid-state physics, the crystal structure was the subject that one must learn and understand. But in practice, students had limitations in studying crystal because no media could illustrate its structure more realistically. In providing an understanding of the concept, educators need to use learning media. Currently, learning media has developed rapidly, especially digital visual media. Vesta Software is a media that can visualize and simulatecrystal structures in 3D. This research aimed to analyze students' scientific attitudes to the Vesta software as a learning media of crystal structure. Data collection used a Likert scale with a scientific attitude questionnaire on curiosity, honesty, perseverance, critical thinking, open-mind, cooperation, and creativity. The method in this research was descriptive qualitative using data triangulation. That was obtained, the seven students' scientific attitudes were "very good", and the most dominant was "curiosity" with 88.03%. Furthermore, Vesta software could be an alternative learning media to crystal structures because it was easy to use and learn, increasing the student’s knowledge and understanding.

Health literacy, religiosity, and political identification as predictors of vaccination conspiracy beliefs: a test of the deficit and contextual models

The primary focus of this paper is to investigate the influence of science literacy, particularly health literacy, on vaccine-specific conspiracy beliefs, within the broader context of vaccine hesitancy. The authors tested deficit (scientific literacy shapes science attitudes) and contextual models (contextual variables exert direct influence and influence the connection between literacy and science attitudes) in a survey research study (N = 729) in Croatia. The analytical approach included structural equation modeling with vaccination conspiracy beliefs as the outcome variable and health literacy, religiosity, and political identification as predictors. The results showed that lower health literacy and higher religiosity were related to higher vaccination conspiracy beliefs, which was not the case for political identification. In addition, the moderating effect of religiosity on the relationship between health literacy and conspiracy beliefs was confirmed. In contrast, the moderating effect of political identification was not confirmed, thus partially confirming the stronger version of the contextual model. The authors comparatively discuss the results by evoking specific socio-political characteristics of Croatian society as well as the reactions of political and religious organizations to the COVID-19 pandemic.

IMPLEMENTING SCIENTIFIC METHOD TO STRENGTHEN THE STUDENT'S SCIENTIFIC ATTITUDE: A STUDY ON BIOLOGY SUBJECT

The scientific method was actually defined in many different ways up to the contextual of learning. This study is to implementing scientific method to strengthen the scientific attitude: A case study of Class 8 students in the subject of Biology. The main objective of this research is on how the implementation of Scientific Method affects scientific attitude of grade 8 students in Biology. The samples of this study involved with18 students for observation and 3 students for interviewing. The students were chosen from class8 for data collection. The data analyzing in this research was used Thematic Analysis method with the variation of observation. Based on the observation, the students were not familiar with the scientific method yet at the first time of class compared with the last observation, students processed activities at higher level. All of the criteria of scientific attitudes were contributed. Moreover, the result from interview is supported to the improvement of students’ scientific attitudes by implementing scientific method. Therefore, it can be concluded that, the implementation of scientific method imposed scientific attitudes in the classroom. The findings identified that scientific method strengthen students' scientific attitude toward learning such as: curiosity, honesty and objectivity, critical resonating, open minded and cooperation, and responsibility. The further research should apply scientific method for a longer period to make students to be familiar with the method. Moreover, the researcher should spend more time observing or interviewing teachers to get the result more accurately.

EFEKTIVITAS LEMBAR KERJA SISWA IPA TERPADU BERORIENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PENGALAMAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR DITINJAU DARI SIKAP ILMIAH SISWA SMP

The aim of the research was to select integrated science worksheets oriented towards an experience-based learning model, which is expected to foster a scientific attitude and improve student learning outcomes. Previous research has never applied LKS in science learning, namely a combination of LKS teaching materials and experience-based learning models. This research method is an experimental method with a quasi experiment with the matched only pretest-posttest control group design. This research was carried out at SMP N 1 Masbagik. Validation of the learning tools by 3 validators. Assessment and revision of the learning tools and instruments was carried out until the tools and instruments were suitable for application in experimental research. Then the learning process is carried out. The control group received treatment using a conventional LKS learning model, while the experimental group used an integrated science LKS learning model oriented towards an experience-based learning model. Data analysis uses the t test. After carrying out the posttest, there was a significant difference between the control class and the experimental class. The experimental class in the posttest had an average of 88.8, which initially had a pretest average of 64.6, while the control class had an average posttest result of 75.8, which initially had a pretest average of 64.8

Development of SSCS-Based Teaching Materials Integrated with TPACK in Cultivating Students' Scientific Attitudes

This study aims to produce teaching materials based on SSCS integrated TPACK and determine the effectiveness of teaching materials based on SSCS integrated TPACK developed in fostering students' scientific attitudes. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) developed by Borg and Gall. The research location used is SMP Negeri 3 Peusangan. The research subjects amounted to 30 people who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used an expert validation test sheet to measure the validity of SSCS-based teaching materials integrated with TPACK and a questionnaire sheet (questionnaire) to collect feasibility data and students' scientific attitudes. Data analysis was carried out by processing validator response data and Likert scale then converted into qualitative data. Scientific attitude data were analyzed using the N-gain formula. The results showed that the teaching materials based on SSCS integrated TPACK developed were declared valid and feasible for use in learning. Teaching materials based on SSCS integrated TPACK can also foster the scientific attitude of students during learning activities, especially on Newton's Law material.

Effectiveness of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Cooperative Learning Model in Enhancing Pre-Service Teachers’ Scientific Attitudes in Learning Vertebrate Zoology

The STAD Cooperative Learning Model not only helps students understand Vertebrate Zoological concepts but also prepares prospective teachers with a good scientific attitude to teach. This study aims to analyze the use of the STAD which has a positive impact on the scientific attitudes of pre-service teachers. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a static-group comparison design. A sample of 85 pre-service teachers of Biology Education at Sriwijaya University were divided into a treatment group (STAD) and a control group (traditional methods) for a nine-week period. The Likert scale questionnaire was used, meeting sufficient validity and reliability standards to measured 12 subdimensions of scientific attitudes. The data was analyzed using MANOVA. The findings showed that the STAD significantly affected seven subdimensions: curiosity, flexibility, critical-mindedness, awareness of the non-absolute truth, belief in the orderliness of nature, carefulness, and optimism. However, there are five not significant subdimensions: honesty, lack of prejudice, tolerance, perseverance, and motivation. These findings suggest the STAD method can be effective in promoting positive scientific attitudes among pre-service teachers. The study's implications for teaching practices in promoting positive scientific attitudes are significant, and further research in this area is warranted.

Developing A Viscometer Educational Aid Using Arduino Uno to Increase Scientific Attitude

The research aims to: (1) produce a viscometer educational aid using Arduino Uno to increase scientific attitude; (2) determine the appropriateness and quality of the Viscometer educational aid using Arduino Uno; (3) describe the students' response about educational aid, and (4) describe the effectiveness of the tool to improve scientific attitude. This study uses the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility and quality of teaching aids are tested by expert judgment. Student responses to the use of media using a questionnaire. The appropriateness and quality, of the student responses were analyzed descriptively. The effectiveness of the tool in improving students' scientific attitude is analyzed with n gain. The results showed that a viscometer educational aid using Arduino Uno was very feasible. Student response to the use of media is very good. The use of a viscometer educational aid using Arduino Uno improves student attitudes with an n-gain of 0.7 in the medium category.

Scientific Reasoning Skills and Scientific Attitudes of Students in Learning Physics Using Guided Inquiry Model with Vee Map

This study aims to examine the effect of guided inquiry learning model with vee map on scientific reasoning skills and to examine the effect of guided inquiry learning model with vee map on scientific attitude of high school students on temperature and heat material. This type of research uses true-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample determination used cluster random sampling method. The samples of this study were XI MIPA 1 class as the control class and XI MIPA 2 as the experimental class. The research instruments used were pre-test and post-test questions using Lawson Classroom Test Scientific Reasoning indicators and scientific attitude questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using SPSS 26. The results showed that there was a significant effect of guided inquiry learning model with vee map on scientific reasoning skills with a significance of 0.000 and there was a significant effect of guided inquiry learning model with vee map on the scientific attitude of students with a significance of 0.000. Therefore it can be concluded that inquiry learning model accompanied by vee map can encourage students to be active in concept discovery and improve students' scientific reasoning skills.

Development of Instrument of Emotional Climate and Attitude Measurement on Science Learning Environment

The purpose of this research is to enrich the discussion of the component of developing instrument as a realization of student reflection on their learning environment, and as an evaluation by researchers, teachers, and principals to increase students’ motivation and achievement. The approach of the research is a quantitative research with developing the instrument method. The research is conduct on 1.067 students of public middle school in Jakarta. The result demonstrate that the instrument that developed and validated from the instrument of Classroom Emotional Climate (CEC) and the instrument of Test Of Science-Related Attitudes (TOSRA) have eight dimensions are, collaboration, motivation, care, clarity, attitude to scientific inquiry, enjoyment of lessons, adoption of scientific attitudes, and sosial implications of science, used LISREL to test Confirmatory Factor Analysis are 37 items. The further analysis use Rasch Fit Item value is 36 items and 589 person, have five items level of difficulty and person abilities are also clustered into five levels. Besides that, Cronbach's alpha value is 0.92, Person reliability is 0.88 and item reliability is 0.99, shows that the instrument results is reliabel, therefore able to use.

Farklı Öğrenme Ortamlarında Kullanılan Bilgisayar ve Mobil Uygulama Destekli Etkinliklerin Etkililiğinin Araştırılması

This study was conducted to determine the effects of learning activities carried out in different environments through digital learning tools - (computer and mobile app) supported activities on students' academic achievement and attitudes towards science. This study, which used a pretest-posttest, control group, and quasi-experimental design as its research model, was conducted with 45 students who were enrolled in the seventh grade of a public school during the academic year of 2020-2021 on the topic of "Reproduction, Growth, and Development in Plants and Animals." In the research, blended learning was applied to the control group, enriched face-to-face learning dimension of blended learning to the experimental-1 group, and enriched e-learning dimension of blended learning to the experimental-2 group. In all groups, the activities were designed in accordance with the 5E learning model. Quantitative data obtained using the “Academic Achievement Test” and the “Science Attitude Scale” were analyzed with the SPSS package program. As a consequence, a statistically significant difference was found between the experimental-2 group and the control group in terms of academic achievement, and between the experimental-1 group and the control group in terms of attitude.

Sociology of childhood evolution: in the world and in Ukraine

The sociology of childhood, as a separate branch of sociology, emerged about forty years ago. Until then, children and childhood were considered only within the framework of the sociology of family or the sociology of age. In the article, I consider the following questions: what exactly led to the emergence of a new field? How and under the influence of what changed the traditional attitude of social science to children and childhood during the twentieth century. What is the New sociology of childhood and Childhood Studies and how do the views of their proponents differ from traditional ones? What principles unite researchers of the new sociology of childhood and how is the sociology of childhood developing in Ukraine?The childhood phenomenon, despite all the achievements and development of social sciences, is still difficult to define. During the twentieth century, the perception of childhood and the attitude of researchers toward children changed. Sociologists of childhood no longer perceive children as passive, innocent, firmly embedded in the family, and “non-yet-adults” whose main goal is to properly socialize. Now, according to sociologists, children are perceived as active and unique social actors that need to be studied intersectionally, in the context of gender, class, ethnicity, and outside the family. The perception of the child has changed – from a usual future adult in the 1960s to a real member of society that can influence the world of adults in the 1980s. All this happened due to the influence of interactionists schools in sociology, researchers of subcultures and age groups, as well as social movements for women’s rights and civil rights. The new sociology of childhood and childhood studies has set new goals – to explore children’s practices as the activities of socially active agents, using methods that take into account age characteristics, but do not reduce children’s ability to reflect and formulate their own point of view. During the last 40 years, the followers of the new paradigm actively created a new scientific community and tried to change the attitude towards children and childhood not only within the social sciences but also outside of it. They partially succeeded, but many of the announced goals remained unfulfilled. Ukraine and Ukrainian researchers of childhood are taking the first confident steps in this field. We need more translations of world classics into Ukrainian language, as well as the results of original Ukrainian researchers into English. As well as we need more students enrolled in relevant programs and funding for the National Center for Childhood Studies.

Implementasi Pembelajaran Berbasis Sikap Ilmiah dan Keterampilan Proses Sains: Bagaimana Respon Mahasiswa Rumpun Non-Sains?

Learning based on scientific attitudes and scientific process skills is common among science students. However, this learning is almost never applied to non-science students, especially Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students at Mataram University. The aim of this research is to describe student responses to the implementation of learning based on these two aspects of science. This descriptive research using the survey method was carried out on PGSD students who were taking Basic Natural Sciences (IKD) courses in the odd semester of the 2021-2022 Academic Year. The sample consisted of 167 students who were determined using the purposive sampling method. Response data on learning implementation was measured using a questionnaire instrument which was distributed to respondents via a link in the Google Form application. Based on the survey results, we found that 53.3% of students stated that they had studied science through the research process, and the results were written in the form of scientific papers. As for the impression, the response from all students was positive. The details were 17.4% felt very happy, 53.3% were happy, and the remaining 29.3% answered quite happy. This is encouraged because they benefit from learning based on process skills and scientific attitudes. However, there are still 15.6% of students who experience difficulties in the process. The cause is the obstacles experienced by most of them (87.4%), and there are also students (6%) who feel that the time given is not enough. Some of the difficulties experienced by students include finding research problems (25.1%), formulating titles (26.9%), designing research activities (18%), and collecting data (29.9%). When writing scientific papers, the greatest difficulty lies in writing results and discussion (63.5%), followed by writing research methods (19.8), and the rest is in writing the abstract, introduction, conclusion and bibliography. The sample paper media used can help students in writing papers, but as many as 95.2% of students need additional facilities to practice their writing skills.

Towards sustainable conservation science in cultural heritage: bridging the gap between contemporary conservation theory and the philosophy of science in approaches to authenticity questions

As contemporary artists’ practices evolve to incorporate ever-newer forms and approaches, conservators are encountering challenges not met before, that influence the development of sustainable and green treatment methods and materials. Many challenges stem from how we understand and articulate authenticity and cultural heritage. In approaching authenticity, the conservation field seeks to rely on reliable knowledge, supplied by science that has been playing an ever more critical role in conservation and technical art history. While conservation science techniques are relatively well-known to conservators, the foundational ethos of the scientific inquiry that distinguishes science from other intellectual pursuits needs to be clarified. Exploration of the foundational ethos of science and the philosophy of science has lacked in conservation, which creates communication problems for stakeholders with different backgrounds: curators, conservators, art historians, and scientists, who operate in different realms, but need to produce knowledge across disciplines and collectively. To bridge this knowledge gap in authenticity questions, the authors take the perspective of the philosophy of science and discuss what makes the scientific inquiry distinct from other intellectual pursuits in the context of conservation. As a workable solution for cultural heritage, the authors propose adopting a concept of scientific attitude as a science demarcation criterion, introduced by Lee McIntyre. The new demarcation criterion, based on values rather than methodology, offers a sustainable approach to defining the role of present-day science in cultural heritage and building sustainable connections with diverse frameworks of knowledge used in conservation and authenticity questions.

Effects of Mind Mapping And Visual Imagery Instruction Strategies on Senior Secondary Schools Students’ Scientific Attitude to Mechanics in Ekiti State of Nigeria

The study examined the effects of visual imagery and mind mapping strategies on physics students’ scientific attitude to mechanics in Ekiti state, Nigeria. The study adopted 3 X 1 pretest-posttest control group quasi experimental research design. Eight senior secondary schools were be purposively selected for the experimental groups, while four schools were purposively selected for the control group. This made a total of twelve schools that were selected from twelve local government areas across all the three senatorial districts of Ekiti state for the study. A total number of two hundred and forty six physics students from the selected schools were used. The instrument that the researcher used for the study was self-designed instruments titled: Students’ Scientific Attitude to Mechanics. The data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) as well as inferential statistics such as Analysis of Covariate (ANCOVA) which was used to determine the significant mean and interaction effects to the variables of the study. Estimated Marginal Mean (EMM) was used to determine the performance of each group. Bonferroni pair wise and Scheffe Post-hoc analyses were also employed to trace the source of observed significance among the groups. The finding of the study revealed that there was significant effect of treatment on students’ scientific attitude to mechanics. The result further showed that those exposed to visual imagery had the highest scientific attitude mean score, closely followed by those exposed to mind mapping while those taught with conventional method of teaching had the least. Also, the finding of the study showed that there was significant main effect of gender on students’ scientific attitude to mechanics. Similarly, the finding showed that there was significant interaction effect of treatment and gender on students’ scientific attitude. Based on these findings, it was therefore recommended that mind mapping and visual imagery instructional strategies should be used in improving students’ scientific attitude.

Preliminary Study: Profile of Management of Practicum Activities Science at Middle School Level To Improve Higher Level Thinking Skills, Science Process Skills, and Scientific Attitudes

This study aims to conduct a preliminary study related to the management of science practicum activities at the junior high school level throughout Mataram City. This preliminary study is to obtain an overview of the management of science practicum activities which includes practicum activity planning, implementation of practicum activities and practicum activity assessment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The research sample consisted of science teachers and students of grades VIII and IX in 3 schools outside the urban areas of Mataram City. The sampling technique uses perposive sampling. Data collection methods used are observation, documentation and questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the management profile of science practicum activities carried out in order to improve higher-order thinking skills, science process skills and scientific attitudes had reached 69.21 or in the Enough category. For science practicum planning it has reached 54.58 or in the less category. For the implementation of science practicums it has reached 73.43 or in the good category and for the assessment of science practicum activities it has reached 79.38 or in the good category. The results of this study recommend that science teachers apply various models of more effective science practicum implementation in order to achieve science learning outcomes through science practicum activities

The purpose of this study is to analysis of the pre-service elementary teachers science lesson plan focusing on the volume change of gas according to the pressure. The subjects of the study were 26 pre-service elementary teachers at a university of education, and they were used for analysis based on the framework(instructional model, lesson course, lesson environment, lesson evaluation) of science lesson plan in previous studies. The results of the study were as follows. Looking at the instructional model sub-domain, pre-service elementary teachers selected and applied most of the discovery learning model and POE model in this lesson. And in the sub-domain of the lesson course, it was found that the lesson plan reflected the efforts to increase curiosity and cooperation among scientific attitudes, and to focus on observation, discussion·debate, and small group cooperation based on experiments. In addition, it was founded that there was a tendency to compare and reconstruct various activities in the lesson course, and the level of students was considered when guiding terms or concepts. Finally, it was analyzed that the level of each detailed factors was mostly good in the lesson environment and lesson evaluation sub-domains. Based on these research results, the level of pre-service elementary teachers’ science teaching professionalism and ways to improve them were reviewed.
