The comparison of curative effect of aerosol inhalation between asarone and ambroxol hydrochloride in pulmonary infection

Objective To compare the curative effect on pulmonary infection between asarone and mucosolvin. Methods 99 cases with pulmonary infection were randomly divided into A,B,C three groups with each group of 33 patients according to the order of admission. On the basis of conventional therapy, A group were received the ultrasonic nebulization therapy of asarone plus 0.9% sodium chloride injection, B group were received the ultrasonic nebulization therapy of mucosolvin plus 0.9% sodium chloride injection,C group was treated based on the control group received the ultrasonic nebulization therapy of chemotropism plus 0.9% sodium chloride injection treatment. The time of cough and anhelation turnaround, the time of body temperature returned to normal, the time of pulmonary rales disappearance and hospitalization time. The curative effects were judged at the end of treatment. Results After treatment, A group of cough, shortness of breath disappearance time, temperature returned to normal time, hospital stay, pulmonary rales disappearance time was(4.30±1.55)d,(2.93±0.89)d,(4.44±1.67)d,(5.66±1.72)d,respectively,in group B(4.34±1.83)d,(3.10±0.77)d,(4.52±1.58)d,(5.82±1.76)d,C group were(6.11±1.49)d,(3.98±1.01)d,(6.22±1.92)d,(7.52±1.56)d,A,B groups cough, shortness of breath disappear time, body temperature returned to normal, pulmonary rales disappeared time and hospital stay were not significantly different(all P> 0.05),A group of cough, shortness of breath disappearance time, body temperature returned to normal, pulmonary rales disappeared time, length of hospital stay were significantly shorter than group C(t= 4.836,4.481,4.018,4.601,all P< 0.05),B groups cough, shortness of breath disappear time,pulmonary rales disappeared time, length of hospital stay were significantly shorter than those of group C(t= 4.309,3.980,3.927,4.152,all P<0.05);A group and B group total efficiency of 90.9% and 87.8%,respectively, which were significantly higher than 69.7% group C (χ2= 26.753,24.685,P= 0.000),A group and B group total efficiency difference was not statistically significant (χ2= 1.128,P= 0.288). Conclusion Asarone and mucosolvan have the similar curative effect in the treatment of pulmonary infection. It should be combined with the specific situation of patients to choose drugs in clinical practice. Key words: Pulmonary infection; Asarone; Mucosolvan

Literature analysis of 137 adverse drug reaction reports of asarone injection

Objective To explore the types and risk factors of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) induced by Asarone injection so as to provide references for clinical rational use of drug.Methods The ADRs of Asarone injection which reported in domestic medical journal from January 1999-June 2013 were collected and analyzed.Results 72 literatures were picked up from the whole 142 results,137 cases of Asarone injection were collected.The ADRs of Asarone injection were mainly occurred in children below 9 years old (60.59％),ADRs can be accumulated and prompted several organ systems to skin damage,such as allergic reactions and gastrointestinal damage,ect.The adverse drug reaction was abrupt and usually occured within 30 minutes (81.76％),the combined medication accounted for 67.88％.Conclusion Asarone injection can cause varies type of ADRs,which happens mainly to the young adults and those use the combination of Asarone injection and other drugs at the same time. The effect and nursing analysis of micro pump airway continuous infusion of asarone injection in the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia

Objective To investigate the effect and nursing methods of micro pump airway continuous infusion of asarone injection in the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).Methods A total of 66 patients with mechanical ventilation were divided into the observation group and the control group,the control group was used the traditional humidification fluid,the observation group was treated with micro pump continuous airway infusion of asarone injection; two groups were compared with airway humidification effect and the effects of mechanical ventilation.Results The irritating the phlegm scab formation,the number of times of sputum suction,heart rate,respiratory rate,C reactive protein,white blood cell count,neutrophil,body temperature,sputum culture in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).And the incidence of VAP,partial pressure of oxygen,oxygen saturation,duration of hospitalization in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Micro pump airway continuous infusion of asarone injection can effectively prevent the occurrence of VAP; Strengthen comprehensive nursing during the step of can improve the therapeutic effect. Analysis of the distribution of -asarone in rat hippocampus, brainstem, cortex and cerebellum with gas chromatographymass spectrometry (GC-MS)

The β-asarone was a major component of Acorus tatarinowii Schott which had significant pharmacological effects on the central nervous system (CNS). We have reported that β-asarone can pass through the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and then go into the brain tissues in the 2002. However, the β-asarone in the brain blood was not excluded, which might lead to a false positive result. In this study, we used the cardio-perfusion method to exclude the β-asarone in the brain blood then examined the brain tissues with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Meanwhile we hypothesized that the β-asarone could be widely distributed without target regions in the brain. To test this hypothesis, we analyzed the distribution of β-asarone in rat hippocampus, brainstem, cortex and cerebellum. We found that β-asarone could be detected in rat hippocampus, brainstem, cortex and cerebellum but the β-asarone amount was less than our previous results, which indicated the β-asarone in brain blood had affected the assay of β-asarone in the brain tissues. Meanwhile, we found that distribution of β-asarone among the hippocampus, brainstem, cortex and cerebellum did not have significant differences. We concluded that β-asarone could pass through BBB and be widely distributed without target regions in the brain.
