Food technology priority trends in light of production digitalization and sustainable development concept

In recent years, Russia has seen a sustainable and profound transformation of food production and consumption processes. The aim of the study is to analyze the impact of information and digital tools on priority areas of food technology and food systems development in light of the concept of sustainable development. The objects of the study were search queries in scientific electronic libraries (Elibrary, Cyberleninka) and databases (Google Scholar), archives of domestic and foreign journals, as well as other materials published in open sources and corresponding to the subject field of the study. The article considers ten of the most relevant trends in the development of food technologies, between which a high level of interconnection, mutual influence and interpenetration have been established. The authors showed the significant impact of digital tools (artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, etc.) on ensuring food safety and production traceability. The authors established that the active implementation of information technologies in the field of food sales has allowed ingredient suppliers, processors, manufacturers, retailers and catering establishments to automate compliance with food safety requirements, and contributed to the creation of effective farm-to-table food management systems. The widespread use of various wearable devices and apps that allow optimizing diets has stimulated the demand for nutraceuticals and personalized nutrition. Food manufacturers are implementing effective technological and digital solutions for recycling and reusing food waste, creating new consumer value, which contributes to sustainable development.

Formation of students’ predictive skills in the process of pedagogical modeling

The article discusses the formation of students’ predictive skills, the presence of which is an important component of the professional competence of future specialists. In the context of pedagogical design, using a specific example, the authors analyze the use of the project method as an opportunity for intellectual and personal development of students of secondary vocational education. The importance of the chosen research topic is confirmed by the discussion of issues on priority areas of scientific and technological development of engineering personnel, emphasized on 02/06/2025 by President Putin V. V. at a videoconference meeting of the Council on Science and Education: “The main demand on the labor market in Russia in the coming years will be for specialists with secondary specialized education. That’s over 60%.” Special attention in the study is paid to the development of the structure of students’ predictive skills. The authors present groups of predictive skills – knowledge, technical and creative. Based on the developed structure of students’ predictive skills, the author’s interpretation reveals the essence of the studied skills, gives their characteristics by substantiating specific indicators. It seems that at the further stage of the dissertation research, the developed structure of predictive skills of students will be the basis for assessing the level of formation of students’ skills. The practical use of the project method underlying this process, according to the authors, allows students to form a set of predictive skills, which include the ability to formulate the purpose and hypothesis of the upcoming study of the object, a description of the expected result, discussion of the ideological concept of the object, the development of an algorithm for solving the problem, as well as the search for alternatives to the necessary solutions when There are other adjustments. Pedagogical support of the process is considered as a necessary condition for the effectiveness of the process of forming students’ predictive skills.

Spatio-temporal Variation, Meteorological Condition, and Regional Transport Characteristics of PM2.5 Pollution Events in Beijing from 2018 to 2022

Based on PM2.5 monitoring data, meteorological observation data, and a CMAQ-ISAM air quality model, the spatio-temporal variation, meteorological conditions, and regional transport characteristics of 108 PM2.5 pollution events in Beijing from 2018 to 2022 were analyzed. The results showed that the frequency, the mean concentration, and the peak concentration of PM2.5 pollution events demonstrated a significant decrease and the decrease degree of moderate and heavy pollution events was significantly larger than that of light pollution events. From the seasonal perspective, the PM2.5 pollution events nearly disappeared in summer, however, were severe in other seasons. According to the diurnal variation curves, PM2.5 concentration during heavy pollution events decreased significantly from daytime to the first half of night and did not decrease notably in the second half of the night. In the past five years, the mean concentration of PM2.5 pollution events was higher in the southeast and lower in the northwest, with the highest in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area and the lowest in Yanqing District. From the perspective of spatial evolution, the mean concentration in all districts significantly decreased from 2018 to 2022, with a decrease range of 13-31 μg·m-3 and a decrease percentage of 11%-25%； the frequency in all districts also decreased significantly, with a decrease range of 35-52 days and a decrease percentage of 56%-68%. The mean wind speed, mean relative humidity, and northwest wind frequency were the three most important meteorological factors that had an impact on PM2.5 concentration in Beijing. For polluted days, the mean wind speed was 1.6 m·s-1, the mean relative humidity was 62.4%, and the frequency of northwest wind was 3%. Most of the pollution events began from Eastern Beijing and Southern Beijing. Compared to those throughout the whole city, PM2.5 pollution events usually occurred 12 hours earlier at the southeast border station and 10, 8, and 5 hours earlier at the southern, southwest, and eastern border stations, respectively. During PM2.5 pollution events in Beijing, the local contribution was 34%, and the transport contribution was 66%. Out of all nearby provinces, Hebei had the biggest contribution of 33%. With regard to cities, Baoding, Langfang, Tianjin, and Tangshan had the most prominent impact on Beijing's PM2.5 pollution events, accounting for 9%, 6%, 5%, and 5% of the contribution, respectively. When it comes to transport pathways, the southeast pathway contributed 24% and the southwest pathway contributed 23%. The government must establish a regional joint prevention and control mechanism.

Revealing Immersive Guest Experiences (IGX) in the Hotel Industry Using Clustering Analysis

The purpose of this study is to analyze existing research on the use of immersive technologies in the hotel industry and build academic and practical knowledge to explore current areas of immersive technology research and development that are critical for the effective digitalization of the hotel industry. Clustering analysis was applied to the publications analyzed by unsupervised machine learning method using the K-Means algorithm. To verify these concepts and answer the research questions, the clustered publications were subjected to in-depth content analysis within the framework of the research questions. The findings provide comprehensive information on the scope of Immersive Guest Experiences (Hereinafter referred to as IGX) for hotel industry and categorize the antecedents, dimensions, and consequences of IGX in hotels to better understand the reasons for the use of immersive technology in the hotel industry. The results provide guidance for practitioners in the design of IGX in hotels.

Historian in the world of neural networks: the second wave of artificial intelligence technology application.

Over the last decade, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have become one of the most sought-after areas of scientific and technological development. This process has also impacted historical science, where the first research in this area began in the 1980s (the so-called first wave) – both in our country and abroad. Then came the "AI winter," and at the beginning of the 2010s, the "second wave" of AI emerged. The subject of this article is the new opportunities for applying AI in history and the new problems arising in this process today, when the main focus of AI has shifted to artificial neural networks, machine learning (including deep learning), generative neural networks, large language models, etc. Based on the experience of historians applying AI, the article proposes the following seven directions for such research: recognition of handwritten and old printed texts, their transcription; attribution and dating of texts using AI; typological classification and clustering of data from statistical sources (particularly using fuzzy logic); source criticism tasks, data completion and enrichment, and reconstruction using AI; intelligent search for relevant information, utilizing generative neural networks for this purpose; using generative networks for text processing and analysis; and the use of AI in archives, museums, and other institutions that store cultural heritage. An analysis of the discussion of similar issues organized by the leading American historical journal AHR has been conducted. These are conceptual questions regarding the interaction between humans and machines ("historian in the world of artificial neural networks"), the possibilities for historians to use machine learning technologies (particularly deep learning), various AI tools in historical research, as well as the evolution of AI in the 21st century. Practical aspects were also touched upon, such as the experience of recognizing newspaper texts from past centuries using AI. In conclusion, the article addresses the problems related to the use of generative neural networks by historians.

THEORETICAL MODEL FOR MANAGING THE IMPORT SUBSTITUTION PROCESS

The article is devoted to the current problem of import substitution, since increasing technological independence is identified as a priority in the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation. In the context of ongoing sanctions from the West, the processes of import substitution require the formation of scientific and methodological tools for the diversification of production processes based on technologies, materials and components of domestic production. The theoretical analysis carried out made it possible to identify and characterize the main integration forms of interaction between organizations in the process of import substitution (holding, cluster, union, technology park), determine their advantages and disadvantages from the standpoint of combining production capacities and complementary resources and technologies. An analysis of the regulatory and legislative framework governing the processes of import substitution was carried out to ensure the overall orderliness of actions. As part of the work of the Government Commission on Import Substitution, the “Plan for Promoting Import Substitution in Industry” was adopted; in accordance with the priority areas of scientific and technological development until 2030, private regulatory legal acts are constantly being developed. The analysis of statistical data showed that the domestic industrial complex is successfully coping with the consequences of the lack of imports, options have been found to intensify import substitution processes within the framework of innovation infrastructure, and “digital production” technologies are being developed. The import substitution policy has received a new round of development from 2022, aimed at replacing missing imported products along with critical end-to-end technologies. There is an annual increase in indicators of intellectual activity and infrastructure support for import substitution processes. A methodological approach to managing import substitution processes is proposed, which involves creating an infrastructure to support developers of new technologies, taking into account the possibility of network interaction. A generalized model of the mechanism for managing import substitution processes is proposed, ensuring the achievement of goals at the micro-macro and meso levels, which can be the basis for developing a methodology for forming the import substitution process of an organization.

Identification of Barriers and Driving Forces for Circular Economy (CE) Implementation in Water and Wastewater Companies

ABSTRACTWater and wastewater management sector is one of the basic areas of implementing a circular economy (CE). Enterprises operating in this sector are mainly wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) managed by municipalities or private companies. They encounter various barriers and facilitators to implement CE, in the area of technology development and management. However, a limited number of works in the available literature focus on nontechnological aspects of implementing CE in WWTPs. Therefore, this paper presents a comprehensive analysis of challenges (including driving forces and barriers) for WWTPs in the process of implementing CE policy goals. The PESTEL strategic analysis method was used, taking into account the identification of political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal factors. It was confirmed that there are more incentives than barriers to actively implementing CE model in analyzed enterprises. The most important driving forces include: (i) favorable European CE policy, as recommendations and law regulations in the area of water, raw materials, and energy recovery; (ii) society's pressure on resource protection; (iii) possible revenues from the sale of recovered water, energy or CE‐fertilizers; (iv) financial support for CE solutions. Among defined barriers that could slow down the circular transformation, the most important are: (i) lack of clearly stated regulations regarding water, energy, and raw materials recovery, as well as transparency and regulatory risk; (ii) limited own financial resources of WWTPs operators; (iii) high cost of investments and maintaining recovery/recycling technologies. Those results may be of key importance to practitioners in strategic decision making for the improved application of circularity in the operating process. Because the implementation of CE solutions should have an integrated approach throughout the enterprise, it is recommended to develop circular business models for these companies, that would take into account both the core business (water and wastewater management) as well as possibilities of further CE implementation, such as recovery of water, energy, and raw materials. In the coming years, such solutions could be financially supported by the national and European sources, which may have a positive impact on the acceleration to the CE model.

Transformation of the science of Information Law and information legislation: a new stage in the conditions of scientific and technological development of Russia

The authors of the article analyze the current trends in the development of the doctrine of Information Law and information legislation in the context of updated tasks for the scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation. It is noted that in the context of the development of an information society based on the digital economy and the data economy, the transformation of law is taking place, which is largely facilitated by the active evolution of Information Law, the expansion of its subject due to the rapid formation of digital law as a basic institution (an emerging sub-sector) responsible for the features of legal provision of information processes and phenomena in digital form. It is within the framework of this industry that legal support for the digitalization of society takes place both at the expense of basic information and legal norms governing the basic provisions (principles of regulation of digital relations, the regime of digital data and other objects of the digital environment, the legal status of subjects of the digital environment, as well as other legal aspects that reflect the essence of the digital form, the application of which is universal and can be applied in law in general), as well as through industry-specific digital norms developed and adopted within a particular branch of law, reflecting the specifics of the implementation of digital processes in relation to a specific area of public relations, regulated by the relevant branch of law. The main directions of scientific and technological development and the tasks of Information Law are also studied. The authors note that the scientific and technological development of Russia today is based on a number of principles that are important to take into account in the development of information legislation and the science of Information Law. Modern information processes and technologies directly permeate and ensure the functioning of all priority areas of scientific and technological development and are part of or ensure the application of all the most important high-tech technologies. In this regard, it is important to work out and consolidate at the theoretical level in information legislation mechanisms that contribute to the effective implementation of the accelerated development and introduction of these important knowledge-intensive technologies into the economy, including within the framework of national projects to ensure technological leadership. As a result of the analysis of critical and end-to-end technologies, it was revealed that the main emphasis in the development of information legislation and the doctrine of Information Law should be placed on the formation of models for regulating the use of artificial intelligence technologies in economic sectors, the social sphere (including the sphere of public safety) and in public authorities, including the development of regulation of robotics, as well as microelectronics technologies and photonics for information storage, processing, transmission and protection systems, technologies of secure quantum data transmission systems. The authors draw a number of conclusions about the development of the principles of regulation of artificial intelligence, as well as the prospects for the development of legal regulation of the field of robotics. The analysis is given of the discussed problems of Information Law at the Seventh Bachilov Readings, held in 2024 at the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Assessing the Prospects and Risks of Delivering Sustainable Urban Development Through 3D Concrete Printing Implementation

The article presents the results of a comprehensive study of the use of 3D Concrete printing (3DCP) technology to create urban infrastructure facilities according to sustainable development principles. The work includes a study of scientific articles on the subject area under consideration, a survey of additive construction market participants, as well as an analysis and generalization of promising areas for technology development and methods for improving the quality of objects erected using 3DCP. As part of the conducted literature review, publications included in the Scopus database for the period 2015–2024 were selected for analysis using the keywords ‘Sustainable development + 3DCP’ and ‘Sustainable construction + 3DCP’. The following conclusions were made: (i) the most popular publications are review articles about the development of materials and technologies for 3DCP and (ii) the most sought-after are the studies in the field of partial application of 3DCP technology, existing equipment and materials for 3DCP, and assessment of the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of 3DCP use. For this purpose, a questionnaire was developed consisting of three blocks: equipment and technologies; structures and materials for 3DCP; the ecology and economics of 3DCP applicability. As a result, four main risks have been identified, which represent promising areas for 3DCP development.

Improvement of the system for creating intellectual property objects

The aim of this article is to identify the institutional and economic-psychological factors that affect the effectiveness of protecting intellectual property rights, with the goal of improving the efficiency of innovation in priority areas of scientific and technological development. In this study, we used methods of analysis, systematization, and classification to extract relevant information related to the efficiency of innovative activity from regulatory and academic sources. We also analyzed patent data for five years to track the dynamics of application filings and patent reviews. Additionally, we applied methods of functional analysis to labor functions in training future patent and economic engineers. Finally, we employed the methodology of expert evaluation to assess the rating of indicators for innovative performance. Based on a comprehensive analysis of normative and scientific approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of innovative activities, the main directions and ways to improve it have been identified, and prospects for future research have been outlined. The paper also discusses the activities of faculty and researchers, as well as the potential for further research in this area

Methodological and practical recommendations for improving the quality of forecasts of innovative development of science, technology and engineering

The generated long-term forecasts for the development of science, technology and engineering are widely used to determine priority areas of scientific and technological development. In an unstable economic situation, it is important to ensure the quality of forecasts, since they determine the priorities and priority areas for financing scientific and technological development projects. Therefore, the problem of improving the quality characteristics of long-term forecasts for the development of science, technology and engineering is relevant. The authors set the goal of determining a set of measures to improve. the quality of the generated forecasts, taking into account modern conditions of economic development, characterized by instability and sanctions restrictions. For this purpose, a systematic and integrated approach to the development of proposals is used. Complexity lies in a comprehensive analysis of the factors influencing the forecast results, and proposals are formed on the basis of a systematic account of the component indicators of forecast quality and mutual connections. The paper presents proposals to improve the accuracy, usefulness, information content, completeness and reliability of forecasts. The similarities and differences between the proposals and the existing ones are shown, and the directions for applying the developed recommendations by the participants in the formation of long-term forecasts for the development of science, technology and engineering are also revealed. The novelty of the article lies in the fact that the authors, based on the use of systematic and integrated approaches, have identified the main methodological and practical proposals for improving the quality characteristics of long-term forecasts for the development of science, technology and engineering. This will help improve the quality of scientific and technological forecasts and effectively spend budget funds to finance new projects formed on the basis of forecasting results.

Practical Aspects of Using Modern Laser Scanning Techniques for Measuring Mine Excavations

Abstract For more than a dozen or so years now, there has been growing interest in the use of modern laser scanning measurement methods in numerous mining operations engaged in underground excavation. However, the simple possession of a scanner does not guarantee satisfactory measurement results. This study sets out the results of scanning mine excavations in an active mine and describes the current guidelines on various aspects of the measurement process. These guidelines were developed on the basis of several hundred measurements carried out over the last dozen or so years. This study also outlines the typical measurements errors observed over the course of many years. These errors, resulting partly from hardware limitations and partly from human error when planning or actually performing measurements, were an important factor behind the introduction of standards regulating underground measurements. This study discusses in detail not only scanning that utilises traditional stationary laser scanners but also scanning based on mobile scanners. It also presents possible areas of future technological development in line with global trends.

Satisfaction in university students: a study of library services

The university library is a fundamental element in the mission of Higher Education Institutions since it provides a space to obtain information that serves as a basis for scientific knowledge. The objective of this research was to measure the satisfaction of students in the areas of Engineering and Technological Development with library services in a public university in southeastern Mexico. The method was quantitative, descriptive and correlational, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population was 5,278 students and through simple random sampling with 95 % confidence and 5 % error, a sample of 360 students was obtained. The instrument reported a reliability through Cronbach's Alpha of α=0,896. The exploratory factor analysis showed a KMO of ,907, Barlett's test of sphericity gave significant values (X2= 2356,439, gl= 171, p≤ ,000) explaining a total variance of 55,517 % which demonstrates a valid and reliable instrument to measure student satisfaction with library services, the data evidenced a sustainable factor model to measure the construct in four dimensions: accessibility, services, human resources and functionality. The results reported that 25,8 % of the students were dissatisfied, indicating the highest degree of dissatisfaction in the availability of computers and Internet access. This research provides data to be considered for the continuous improvement of library services and contributes with methodological aspects that can be extrapolated to other contexts

Performance Analysis of BER and SNR Performance in High-QAM Modulations Using Advancements in MIMO Systems

Wireless communications is one of the most active areas of technology development of our time. This development is being driven primarily by the transformation of what has been largely a medium for supporting voice telephony into a medium for supporting other services, such as the transmission of video, images, text, and data. Today, the widely deployed network type is based on a centralized approach that requires a network point of access, commonly called the Access Point (AP), to serves as a gateway between the mobile device and the Internet. The obtained results demonstrate that spatial diversity along with the power of STBC significantly improves the error performance in frequency selective wireless fading channels. The BER level is depend on the modulation type, SNR value and channel behavior. Modulation schemes that we have used in this paper are 4-QAM, 8-QAM, 16-QAM and 64-QAM which further improved using forward error correction codes (FEC). A comparison is made between the diversity gains of MIMO systems in terms of BER for high QAM modulation scheme. This work presents, a simulation toll MATLAB R2023a used for model implemented using Nakagami channel to study the performance analysis of Bit Error rate (BER) V/S Signal to Noise ratio (SNR). Background: Among the areas of modern scientific and technological development, one of the leading places is occu-pied by new technologies of medical genetics: genetic editing of the human embryo genome (embryoengineering), medical genetic counseling, prenatal, neonatal, preconception diagnosis of hereditary diseases, technologies for the selection and selection of embryos, therapeutic and reproductive cloning human, etc. The question arises: how do genetic technologies and the development of genomic medicine affect changes in public and individual consciousness, and, above all, on the meaning of the meaning of the value and dignity of human life? Aim: To consider the main results of the development of genomic medicine technologies, such as the increase in the detection of genetic diseases, the increasing need for eugenic abortions and the use of embryos in research, and the introduction of genetic testing. Materials and methods: The historical and logical research method, as well as the historical and philosophical approach, allow the author to identify not only the ethical novelty of the geneticization of healthcare, but also a new form of social embodiment of the ideas of naturalistic-pragmatic ethics. Results: The value-worldview understanding of the consequences of the development of genomic medicine technologies leads to the need to introduce the concept of «genoeugenization» as a characteristic of the moral meaning of processes occurring in society un-der the influence of new medical genetic practices.Conclusion: The author substantiates the importance of the humanitarian-educational, legal and moral-philosophical level of knowledge for solving the problems of preserving the traditional moral value of the dignity of human life.

On the Legal Concept of Metaverses

The paper offers a detailed model of the legal concept of metaverses. The scientific impetus for this discourse was the foreign practice of developing metaverses, which have become national priorities for a number of states. According to the author’s position, the metaverse is a direction (area) of digital technology development for the formation of a digital space for various types of social and public activities with imitation of the personal presence of the user. The components of the metaverse interact with each other, are in dynamic balance, creating a digital industry. The industry of the metaverse is at a stage of continuous evolution and development. It consists of five main systems, including a technological system, a system of standards, a system of digital products, a service and warranty system. Based on this conclusion, the author systematizes approaches to the development of legal regulation of relations in the metaverses in order to consolidate the country’s technological leadershipin this promising direction. As the metaverse evolves, it may become a promising space for the circulation of digital data and the implementation of other ambitious projects of the digital economy. However, the emergence of new threats and risks in artificial virtual worlds requires the development and adoption of a concept of legal understanding of metaverses, as well as the advanced study of Russian legislation guaranteeing human rights and freedoms in metaverses.

Digital twins and the digital logics of biodiversity.

Biodiversity is a multidimensional concept that can be understood and measured in many different ways. However, the next generation of digital technologies for biodiversity monitoring currently being funded and developed fail to engage its multidimensional and relational aspects. Based on empirical data from interviews, a conference visit, online meetings, webinars, and project reports, this study articulates four digital logics that structure how biodiversity becomes monitored and understood within recent technological developments. The four digital logics illustrate how intensified practices of capturing, connecting, simulating, and computing produce particular techno-scientific formats for creating biodiversity knowledge. While ongoing projects advance technological development in areas of automation, prediction, and the creation of large-scale species databases, their developmental processes structurally limit the future of biodiversity technology. To better address the complex challenges of the global biodiversity crisis, it is crucial to develop digital technologies and practices that can engage with a wider range of perspectives and understandings of relational and multidimensional approaches to biodiversity.
