Analisis Metode Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab dalam Penguasaan Kosa Kata Bahasa Arab di Mts. Al-Ittihadiyah

This article is motivated by learning Arabic for school Al-Ittihadiyah which has problems causing >50% to fail in the UAS. This article aims to describe the application of Arabic leaming methods in school Al-Ittihadiyah. This research uses a qualitative research approach with the type of case study research. With data sources from teachers, students, and the learning process. Collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data is collected, reduced, presented, and then concluded. The results showed that the Arabic language learning process only applied two learning methods, namely grammar translation and audiolingual with a ratio of >75%: <25%. The selection of learning methods is not in accordance with the competencies to be achieved. Learning Arabic uses limited methods and media, so the result is that students are less motivated in the learning process. The application of learning methods that are less systematic and thorough. Evaluation of learning at the end of the meeting is not always carried out.

Persepsi Mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Kelas A-K Semester V Terhadap Penggunaan Kitab Kifayatul Ashhab Untuk Pembelajaran Nahwu Iv

In carrying out the Arabic language learning process, of course there are several factors that support or hinder the learning process. One of them is the use of teaching materials as a source or media in learning. In this study, researchers focused on students' perceptions of the use of teaching materials in the form of the Kifayatul Ashhab book in the learning process. The background of this study is because the learning process used in the classroom tends to be classical and boring, thus giving rise to various perceptions among students. The formulation of the problem in this study is how Arabic Language Education students perceive the use of the Kifayatul Ashhab book and how the Kifayatul Ashhab book is applied as the only teaching material used in learning. The purpose of writing this work is to obtain information about the perceptions of Arabic Language Education students towards the Kifaytul Ashhab Book in learning Nahwu IV in classes A-k. The research method used by the researcher is a qualitative method. While the data collection techniques used by the researcher in this work are interview / interview and observation techniques. The results of the research conducted by the researcher are that learning Nahwu IV using textbook teaching materials is boring and difficult for the majority of students in the class. Meanwhile, regarding the application of textbook teaching materials, it is emphasized on the methods used and their evaluation.

Effectiveness of Mobile Applications in Arabic Language Learning for Elementary School Students

This research explores the role of mobile technology in Arabic language education at the elementary school level. With the increasing use of technology in education, this research highlights how mobile applications can be used as effective learning tools. The purpose of this research is to measure the effectiveness of using mobile applications in Arabic language learning for elementary school students. This research employs a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative data was obtained through Arabic language proficiency tests conducted before and after the use of the application, while qualitative data was collected through interviews with students and teachers to gain in-depth insights into their experiences. The results of the study indicate that the use of the mobile application significantly improved students' Arabic language skills, particularly in the areas of vocabulary, reading, and grammar. In addition, this research also reveals that the majority of students and teachers have a positive perception of the use of mobile applications in learning, although there are challenges such as limited access to technology and the need for adequate technical support and training. The recommendations provided include the enhancement of technological infrastructure, support and technical training, collaboration between application developers and educators, as well as parental involvement. This research provides valuable insights into the potential and challenges of using mobile technology in Arabic language education, as well as laying the groundwork for better development and implementation in the future.

Teaching Innovation: Increasing the Competency of Arabic Teachers through TELL-Based Learning Technology

This research focuses on increasing the technological competence of Arabic teachers in integrating technology into teaching. The methods used include a mixed approach with quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The research population was Arabic teachers, with a purposive sample. Research instruments include questionnaires and semi-structured interview guidelines. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that the level of technological skills of Arabic teachers varies, with most teachers feeling quite comfortable using basic technology but less confident with advanced technology. Key barriers identified include lack of technology skills, limited access to devices and the internet, resistance to change, and lack of interactive learning materials. Proposed solutions include ongoing training programs, provision of devices and internet, persuasive approaches to overcome resistance, development of interactive materials, and ongoing technical support. The main conclusion is that ongoing support and solutions focused on the specific needs of Arabic teachers can significantly improve the quality of teaching and students' learning experiences. This research provides valuable insights and practical solutions that can be implemented to overcome obstacles in the integration of technology in Arabic language learning.

Assessing the Impact of Minimum Learning Mastery Standard on the Effectiveness of Follow-Up Programs in Madrasa

This study aims to analyse the assessment and follow-up processes of Arab learning at Madrasah Aliyah using qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. It involved 24 Arabic language teachers from Madrasah Aliyah in South Kalimantan. The findings indicated that Minimum Learning Mastery Standards (MLMS) were not adjusted to accommodate student characteristics, subject competencies, and educational unit conditions. Consequently, learning assessments became less credible, often serving merely to fulfil MLMS requirements. Both enrichment and remedial follow-up were perceived as formalities, lacking a basis in the analysis of student assessments, which undermined students' motivation to learn. Teachers encountered ethical dilemmas in assessment and decision-making processes, exacerbated by external pressures for students to meet MLMS benchmarks. The study emphasizes the importance of reducing external pressures in determining MLMS, enhancing teacher competence in adopting new assessment methods, and improving evaluation systems. These improvements are crucial for developing evidence-based structured enrichment and remedial programs

Arabic Language Learning Models in Schools: A Comparative Study of Islamic Boarding School-Based Madrasah Aliyah in The Kebumen, Indonesia

There are variances in learning Arabic across different institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools and Madrasah Aliyah. The objective of this study is to identify the similarities and distinctions across Arabic language learning models at Islamic boarding schools in Kebumen, Central Java, Indonesia. The focus of the research is restricted to MA Salafiyah and MA Yapika, which are the prominent Islamic schools in the Kebumen district. The research findings encompass two key aspects. Firstly, the Arabic language learning curriculum at MA Yapika and MA Salafiyah is a comprehensive curriculum that combines the Ministry of Religion curriculum with the Islamic boarding school curriculum. Secondly, the Arabic language learning model at the Islamic boarding school-based Madrasah Aliyah in Kebumen district consists of two approaches. (1) MA Yapika applies an Active Arabic Language Learning strategy (Active Learning) with specific practical objectives. (2) MA Salafiyah Wonoyoso focuses more on developing maharah lughawiyah (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) as the foundation of student competence.

Idarat Barnamij Ta’lim al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyah fi al-Muassasah al-Dauriyah Markaz al-‘Arabiyah Pare Kediri

The background of this research is based on the importance of effective management in Arabic language learning programs, especially in language course institutions that play a significant role in developing Arabic language proficiency in Indonesia. Markaz Arabiyah Pare Kediri is recognized as one of the leading centers for Arabic language learning, but in-depth research on the management of its programs remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and evaluate the management of the Arabic language learning program at Markaz Arabiyah, focusing on effectiveness, curriculum relevance, and innovation in teaching methods. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with administrators, teachers, and students, as well as direct observation and document analysis related to program management. The data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The objective of this research is to understand the management of the Arabic language learning program at Markaz Arabiyah, including its planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. The research results indicate that the program management at Markaz Arabiyah Pare has successfully created a conducive learning environment that supports the enhancement of students' Arabic language proficiency. However, some aspects need improvement, such as aligning the curriculum with global needs and enhancing the quality of teacher training.

Learning Arabic and the Yellow Book at the Alfahmu Littatahfidz Wata'dib Kampar Islamic Boarding School

The aim of this service is to improve the understanding of Arabic for students at the Alfahmu Littahfidz Watta'dib Kampar Islamic Boarding School. The service method is carried out using the ilqa'ul mufradat method (providing vocabulary), muhadatsah, Arabic speech, and yellow book study. The results of the service show that implementing Arabic language learning activities through several methods can improve the student's ability to speak Arabic and read the Kuing book. Integrated Arabic language learning can increase the active role of students in participating in yellow book reading competitions between sub-districts. Even though they are not yet in the top three categories, the student's ability to learn Arabic has shown a significant increase in both reading competence, listening competence, speaking competence in Arabic, and writing Arabic texts.

Navigating ethnic capital and ethnic penalty: Chinese Muslim internal migrants in an international trade hub

ABSTRACT This article investigates how Chinese Hui Muslim internal migrants navigate the complexities of ethnic capital and ethnic penalty in their engagement with China-Arab international trade. On one hand, Hui Muslims leverage Arabic language learning opportunities within their community and benefit from religious affinity with foreign Muslims, enhancing their employment and entrepreneurial prospects. On the other hand, they face discrimination from the Han majority, Arab Muslims, and non-Muslim foreigners. Women, seen as “submissive” and “trustworthy”, find more expanded employment opportunities as interpreters for Arab merchants but face overt discrimination due to their Muslim attire. Notably, the Hui’s ethnic capital in the international trade market has diminished in recent years due to Arab merchants’ globalization efforts, such as adopting English for communication. This study contributes to the understanding of Chinese Muslims’ experiences in upward mobility amidst regional disparities and economic globalization.

Effectiveness of Arabic Learning in Vocational School on the Mecors Assessment Scale

This research stems from the urgency of effectiveness in learning Arabic as a foreign language for students in Indonesian schools. The learning design aims to achieve pre-set competencies and goals, thus ensuring effective learning. The purpose of this research is first to know the implementation of Arabic language learning at SMK Islamic Center Baiturahman Semarang and second to know the effectiveness of Arabic language learning at SMK Islamic Center Baiturahman Semarang in terms of process and results. The type of research conducted is field research with an analytic descriptive qualitative approach. We conducted the study at SMK Islamic Center Baiturahman Semarang. Data were collected using observation, interview, test, and documentation methods. Data analysis involves making field notes and giving codes; collecting, sorting, classifying, synthesizing, summarizing, and indexing data; providing interpretation so that the data categories have meaning; looking for and suggesting patterns and relationships; and making general findings. The findings of this study are the implementation of Arabic language learning at SMK Islamic Center Baiturahman, which refers to the curriculum used and follows the process standards even though it could be better. According to the MECORS rating scale, the effectiveness of integrated learning is quite adequate based on teachers' basic teaching skills. The prerequisites of effective learning according to Al-Khuliy's criteria in the category are well met.

The Impact of Direct Method Through 'Guess of Picture' on Improving Arabic Language Proficiency Among Students at Nurul Huda Islamic Primary School, Patihan Lamongan

Arabic is the language of the Qur'an and the language of Islam, with billions of followers worldwide. However, students nowadays are rarely interested in learning Arabic, which affects their learning outcomes. Therefore, the researcher is interested in examining the influence of the direct method using picture guessing on students' learning outcomes. The aim of this study is to determine the implementation, results, and influence of the direct method through picture guessing on Arabic learning outcomes at MI Nurul Huda Patihan Lamongan. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The results of the study showed that the pre-test and post-test scores tested with the t-test resulted in a t-value greater than the t-table value, which was 12.954 > 2.042. This means that there is an influence of the direct method using picture guessing on students' learning outcomes.Keywords: Direct method; Arabic learning outcomes; Arabic language.

Media Aplikasi Inovatif dalam Memudahkan Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Anak di Madrasah

Arabic is a must for Muslims. Arabic is currently the international language of Saudi Arabia. Learning Arabic is also a native language or a foreign language that is often heard. Learning Arabic requires a learning medium. Arabic learning media is currently evolving and adapting to the increasingly sophisticated technological revolution. Learning media plays a vital role in the success of teaching and learning activities. Just like today's app media, there are many teachers who can easily use innovative apps using their mobile phones. The use of media is a teaching skill of teachers in the classroom. There are four skills to master Arabic in MI/SD: listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.These skills can be easily mastered if teachers use media as a learning aid. The data collection methodology used by the library through processing, analysis and summarization of the data obtained.The aim of the study is to examine what is meant by innovative media such as media in Arabic language learning and the use of media in Arabic language learning.

Enhancing Students’ Arabic Learning Outcomes Using Kinemaster Based Audiovisual Media: A Case in Al-Irsyad Junior High School Banyuwangi East Java

Low achievement in Arabic language learning among students remains a critical issue despite various teaching methods. This study investigates the effectiveness of Kinemaster-based audiovisual media in enhancing Arabic learning outcomes and assesses the improvement post-implementation. An associative quantitative approach with pretest and posttest design was employed, involving a sample of 23 students. Data were gathered through observation, written tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Analysis techniques included normality tests, paired sample T-tests, and the N-Gain test. Results revealed a significant improvement from a pretest score of 1424 to a posttest score of 1882. Normality testing using SPSS indicated a significance value of 0.200, confirming normal distribution. The paired sample T-test yielded a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001, denoting a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Consequently, Kinemaster-based audiovisual media significantly enhances Arabic learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at Al Irsyad Junior High School Banyuwangi.

Unleashing the Power of Reading: Effective Strategies for Non-Native Arabic Language Learners

This study delves into the realm of enhancing reading skills for non-native Arabic language learners, exploring effective strategies to unlock the full potential of reading comprehension. Despite the limited existing research in this domain, the study aims to shed light on various perspectives that can contribute to a deeper understanding of the subject. this study aspires to pave the way for the development of more comprehensive and effective learning strategies for non-native Arabic language learners, ultimately fostering a heightened appreciation for the power of reading in language acquisition. This research employs a literature review methodology to collect, analyze, and synthesize relevant literature related to effective strategies in developing Arabic reading skills for non-native learners. The research findings highlight the effectiveness of various reading strategies for non-native Arabic learners. The findings of this research reveal that the direct memory strategy enhances Arabic reading through direct recall and vocabulary retention, crucial for non-native learners. Consistent use and tools like digital apps build learners' memory foundation. Additionally, the Direct Cognitive, Compensation, Indirect Cognitive, Affective, and Social Strategies contribute significantly, offering diverse approaches for non-native learners to excel in Arabic qira'ah (reading skills).

Learning Transfer and Universal Grammar: The Case of Arabic as a Foreign Language

This Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL) is considered a parsimonious field in applied linguistics. Therefore, this article tries to highlight how language transfer influences American students in their Arabic learning process. Additionally, this work attempts to explore whether Arabic foreign learners rely on their pre-existing knowledge to learn Arabic and determine the role of transfer regarding language universals. The study employs a quantitative methodology based on a Grammaticality Judgment Task (GJT) to achieve its objective. According to the study's results, L2 Arabic learners initially transfer their L1 setting to L2. In other words, Universal Grammar (UG) exists, but learners only have indirect access to it via their L1. By studying and investigating the influence of language transfer on learning outcomes, experts' and educators’ interventions can be tailored to more effectively assist foreign students in overcoming errors connected to their first language and improving their proficiency in learning Arabic language.

Linguistic Intelligence Development Strategy Through Student Activities: A Case Study in Intensive Arabic Language Learning

This research aimed to reveal the efforts, promotion, and development of the teaching of the Arabic language in the intensive Arabic language teaching at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang to improve the linguistic intelligence of students through the student activities of the “Arabic Camp” (Mukhoyyam Arabi). The method used in this research is a case study to describe the various events that occurred in this field, which is the teaching of the Arabic language presented by lecturers of the intensive program for teaching the Arabic language to improve verbal linguistic intelligence. The research focused on the two advanced levels, which were FJ-3 and FJ-4. Among the results of this research were that the students’ activities towards the first-place competition, Arabic songs, and Arabic encouraging chants (yel-yel) programmed in the outdoor classroom in the natural environment improved verbal-linguistic intelligence toward using correct and effective words and forming sentences according to grammatical rules aimed at communication.

The Relationship between Memorizing the Qur’an and the Outcomes of Learning Arabic for Students of Al-Hijrah 2 Integrated Islamic High School, Deli Serdang

This paper aims to find out about the relationship between Qur'an memorization and Arabic learning outcomes in IT Al-Hijrah Deli Serdang High School students. The method used in this research is field research method (Field Research) using quantitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The population in this study amounted to 22 students and sampling using saturated samples or all members of the population were used as research samples. The data analysis technique uses the Produck Moment Correlation test with the help of SPSS version 26. The result of this study is that memorizing the Qur'an has a significant and very strong relationship with Arabic learning outcomes. This can be seen from the Pearson Correlation value of 0.802. obtained t count 5.998 greater than t table (2.086) at a significant level of 5% and a significant level of 1% (2.845), then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant relationship between Qur'an memorization and Arabic learning outcomes in Al-Hijrah 2 Deli Serdang IT High School students.

Google Classroom Based Arabic Language Learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Tulungagung

The need for learning on digital applications or platforms is currently very high. Arabic language learning is entering an era of industrialization where access to learning already uses applications or digital platforms. The use of contemporary applications such as Google Classroom will change learning patterns from paper-based to paperless. This article aims to explain and analyze Arabic language learning based on Google Classroom media which has been carried out at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Tulungagung. Employing a qualitative approach, this study analyzed descriptive data in the form of speech or writing and the observable behavior of the research subject. Data were obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation, where the authors conducted research by going directly to the field to find data at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Tulungagung. The findings showed that learning Arabic using the online model via Google Classroom is very effective and efficient. Google Classroom becomes an alternative media to create changes in learning, it changes the learning environment which was originally traditional to an effective activity by utilizing facilities and attractive media to produce the maximum learning outcomes. This research is expected to provide a scientific contribution as a solution to the learning process in the digital era. The researcher advises future researchers that there is still a lot of online media that can be analyzed further.

The attitudes of Arabic language learners towards learning Arabic for specific purposes, Kanar 1 course, Language Institute, International University of Africa (IUA), Sudan

Many educational institutions have introduced Arabic language for specific purpose courses in order to help learners master the terminologies and language patterns used in specific fields. This study aims to identify the attitudes and needs of Arabic language learners who will enroll in Arabic language course for the first stage organized by Language Institute, International University of Africa (IUA), Sudan. This study relied on the descriptive and inductive approaches to find out the attitudes and needs of Arabic language the participants in this course 2023/2024. It is known that many learners have an attachment to the Arabic language that goes beyond religious purposes to professional ones such as economics and culture. For all this, it is necessary to design curriculum that pay attention to these directions and the objectives that will be demonstrated by the participants of this course. On the other hand the study aims to find out how to improve the effectiveness of Arabic for specific purpose to help learners gain academic and career advantages in the long run.
