Effectiveness of The Early Start Denver Model for Children with Autism: A Narrative Review and Experiences for Viet Nam

Early intervention for children with autism is crucial for their development and quality of life. Different early intervention models exist, including the Early Start Denver Model, which has scientific evidence and is included in Vietnam's Guidance Document on Diagnosis and Intervention for Children with autism spectrum disorders. Therefore, quantitative research design and descriptive statistics methodologies are used in the study to review the Denver early intervention model's effectiveness in treating children with autism worldwide and bring lessons learned for application in Vietnam. This narrative review analyses 16 scientific articles conducted in an international database. Research results show that the Early Start Denver Model is efficacious in improving core defects in children with autism, such as social skills, communication skills, and repetitive behaviors,…; using the Early Start Denver Model will improve parent-child interactions, reducing stress for parents during the parenting process. The findings also indicate lessons for applying the Early Start Denver Model for children with autism in Vietnam, considering factors like regional culture, educational facilities, and learning materials; motor skills and imitation skills should be combined with other therapies for better effectiveness.

Developing green finance in Vietnam towards sustainability

Green finance is a global trend involving international financial institutions, governments, and the financial systems of individual countries and regions. The term "green finance" refers to the synchronized development of the financial sector while improving the environment and fostering economic growth. Its goal is to mobilize financial resources to benefit the environment while minimizing harm and managing environmental risks. Green finance is becoming increasingly crucial for Vietnam, especially with its commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050 and reducing methane emissions by 2030. Consequently, investment demand for projects that mitigate environmental impacts will grow, making green finance vital for Vietnam's sustainable development goals. A green or clean economy aims to harmonize economic growth with ecological sustainability. Its fundamental growth strategy includes environmental protection, clean production technology, and clean energy, rapidly achieving sustainable growth. However, raising awareness about green finance for sustainable development and identifying opportunities and challenges in its application in Vietnam is essential. An Integrated T-Spherical Fuzzy Einstein Interaction Aggregator Group Decision-Making Approach: A Case Study of Concrete 3D Printing Robot Application in Vietnam

This study introduces the integrated T-spherical fuzzy Einstein interaction aggregator group decision-making approach, a novel framework designed to enhance multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM). Implementing the case study of concrete 3D printing technology in Vietnam, this approach integrates T-spherical fuzzy sets with Einstein aggregation operators to handle the complexities of uncertain and subjective expert judgments effectively. The methodology provides a robust mechanism for evaluating and prioritizing the barriers and strategies associated with the implementation of concrete 3D printing. Findings from this study underline the significance of technological advancements and strategic financial incentives, with R&D strategy emerging as the top priority. This research contributes to both theoretical advancements in decision-making frameworks and offers practical insights for industries looking to integrate emerging technologies. Moreover, it demonstrates the application of advanced fuzzy set theories in real-world settings, providing a valuable tool for decision-makers facing similar technological adoption challenges.

Air quality monitoring using drones (UAV)

Abstract Air pollution causes many diseases and is a major environmental threat, therefore, it is essential to monitor and improve the air quality. With this work, we aim to assess atmospheric pollution using drone-mounted air sensors, with specific applications in Vietnam. We aim to measure Green-House Gas (GHG) emissions and other pollutants in urban and non-urban areas of interest including, but not limited to landfills and airports, to evaluate the effects of pollution on climate and health. The project will use a novel and creative approach to collect three-dimensional atmospheric data using smart sensors mounted on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). UAVs have been extensively applied in recent years, both in Vietnam and on a global scale, to multiple fields and with different scopes. Surveying, crop monitoring, irrigation and fertilization, surveillance and rescue support, and 2D and 3D mapping, are just a few examples of how UAVs can be used for agriculture, archaeology, forestry, urban planning, and architecture. In this project, we develop an integrated system of UAVs and smart sensors for air quality monitoring. To develop mitigation and adaptation strategies for reducing the environmental impact of transport, it is imperative to assess the emission sources and trends. Therefore, we are developing a system able to collect comprehensive atmospheric data using remote aerosol sampling, and chemical speciation. Furthermore, the potential of using smart sensors on other flying devices is explored.

Foreign experiences on liability to compensate for emotional distress damage caused by a breach of contract and lessons learnt for Vietnam

Due to the socio-economic development, the spiritual demands of individuals are increasing, such as improving physical appearance, health care... Therefore, numerous transactions in relation to such respects are signed. In the course of transaction performance, it is common for the obligor to fail to perform the contractual obligations or to perform incompletely or improperly the contractual obligations. Obviously, when any breach of contract occurs, the parties to such contract want their rights and interests to be protected. Consequently, when the breach of contract gives rise to emotional distress damage, the liability to compensate for emotional distress damage is issued pursuant to Article 419 of the Civil Code 2015. However, the contract laws of Vietnam still have some shortcomings in relation to the liability to compensate for emotional distress damage caused by a breach of contract, particularly drawbacks relevant to i) The cases of compensation for emotional distress damage caused by a breach of contract; ii) The level of compensation for emotional distress damage caused by a breach of contract; iii) The form of compensation for emotional distress damage caused by a breach of contract. Thus, this article analyses and comments on foreign experiences on liability to compensate for emotional distress damage caused by a breach of contract while comparing it with regulations and practical application in Vietnam in order to draw some lessons for Vietnam to enhance laws and advance the effectiveness of applying the above-mentioned regulations in practice.

Applications of geophysical methods in agriculture and their potential in Vietnam

Geophysical methods are very popular in Vietnam and have been applied for several decades in deep-earth investigations such as geological mapping, mineral resource searching, and especially oil and gas exploration. In the world, they have proven to be great tools in agriculture as well for soil characterization and monitoring thanks to their notable advantages including rapid data acquisition, large data coverage, high data density, non-destructive and inexpensive survey implementation. However, in Vietnam, the applications of geophysical methods in agriculture have received little attention probably due to the lack of suitable equipment and data processing techniques. This article gives an overview of popular geophysical methods being applied in agriculture in several countries to characterize and monitor soil properties such as moisture, salinity, density, texture, structure, porosity, etc. The main uses of each method are summarized, and relevant publications are given for reading recommendations with the aim of suggesting similar applications in Vietnam. Accordingly, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) are the most versatile with minimum field crew for data acquisition. They should be prioritized to try in Vietnamese agriculture. Since EMI equipment is not currently available in Vietnam, only a GPR test survey was implemented in the Agricultural Academy experimental field by the authors of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology. The preliminary result shows that the biggest challenge is to find reliable techniques to accurately infer soil properties from measured geophysical parameters, which have no explicit relationship with soil properties. Noise suppression is another problem that needs to be addressed to ensure sufficient data quality.

Measuring the efficiency of the Republic of Korea’s cultural diplomacy in Vietnam under Moon Jae-in’s presidency (2017-2022) and its potentialities

As soon as the new president of the Republic of Korea was elected in 2017, Moon Jae-in anchored the New Southern Policy (NSP), which targeted southern Asian countries and expanded South Korea’s strategic presence in the Asia-Pacific Ocean. As such, the ROK continued to adopt a public diplomacy policy and empowered Korean culture in Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam. This article aims to generalize Moon Jae-in’s policy on cultural diplomacy and his application in Vietnam as a case study. I employed Joseph Nye’s soft power and cultural diplomacy concept while adopting a qualitative method to collect official information from the ROK’s homepages and assess diplomatic results. The central argument of this article is that Moon Jae-in considers cultural diplomacy a key element of the NSP for promoting Korean culture and bolstering a strategic presence in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The ROK attempted to graft K-pop, movies, Korean customs, Korean languages, and Korean cuisine onto the Vietnamese concept and seek an upgrade of Vietnamese Korean cultural exchanges and the frequent organization of cultural events. Hence, an upgrade between the ROK and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV) to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in December 2022 marked an achievement of cultural diplomacy. I also argued that this attempt has a tonic effect on continuing the ROK cultural diplomacy under Yoon Suk Yeol’s presidency and on the foreseeable chance of both the SRV and the ROK in cultural diplomacy.

Children’s Data Protection in Vietnam: Legal Framework and Challenges

Purpose: This study offers a comprehensive examination of the prevailing legal framework and explores the associated challenges encountered about parental literacy, children’s digital literacy, and the gap in the children-parent relationship to guarantee appropriate consent and its practical application in Vietnam.
 
 Study methodology: Researching the State’s legal documents is very important; Decrees and circulars are also necessary legal documents used in the research process. In addition to the legal bases that are considered the basis for analysis and evaluation; Interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research methods are used such as dialectical materialism methodology, analysis-synthesis, logic-history, induction - interpretation, etc.
 
 Results and Discussion: Research results have shown that: The current framework for protecting children’s data in Vietnam has shortcomings that need to be corrected and supplemented accordingly; at the same time, challenges for implementing this legal framework to practice in Vietnam also need to be clarified to find solutions.
 
 Recommendations: Safeguarding children’s data in the digital era is a paramount global concern, and Vietnam is not an exception to this imperative. Noteworthy efforts have been undertaken within the legal framework to protect children’s data in Vietnam. Nevertheless, several persistent challenges hinder the efficient realization of these legislative measures. Society and technology are increasingly developing, therefore, legal regulations need to be supplemented to help parents and society best protect children’s data in the digital age.

Performance evaluation and mix proportion design of concrete using low‐quality recycled aggregate: Application for structural concrete in Vietnam

AbstractThis study aims to promote the application of recycled aggregate concrete using low‐quality recycled aggregate, which can be easily obtained in Vietnam, mixed with normal aggregate. This is achieved by examining the performance evaluation of concrete using the relative quality index method and mix proportion design. If low‐quality recycled aggregate and normal aggregate can be combined in concrete in a suitable replacement ratio, as has been done in Japan, the proposed method can be used for structural concrete applications in Vietnam.

Trends in using biological materials in the construction industry and proposed for application in Vietnam

The trend of the construction industry in the world today and in the future is to research and using materials of biological origin. The article summarizes some popular biological materials that are currently being researched and applied in the construction industry around the world. After that, the relevant issues will be analyzed and summarized to make a proposal to choose suitable materials for Vietnam today and in the future.

Gamification in infrastructure and its application in Vietnam

In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, innovative approaches that are emerging to solve traditional problems are regularly updated and improved. Prominent among them is the gamification application in the infrastructure construction industry. This is an intuitive simulation tool that brings a high level of experience and efficiency. The article presented an overview of the gamification application in infrastructure. It can be seen that with the development of modern game engine and new technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR), Augmented Reality (AR), digital twin, gamification is used in different phases of a project such as design, construction and operation. Furthermore, the article also provides an assessment of opportunities and challenges when applying gamification to the infrastructure construction in Vietnam. Furthermore, some preliminary suggestions to improve the application efficiency are also made.

Triazole fungicides are widely used as broad-spectrum fungicides, non-steroidalantiestrogens for various industrial applications in Vietnam. Their residues have been frequentlydetected in multiple environmental, vegetables and foods. The application of modern techniquesto detect residues of insecticide have been applied for many years and more and moredeveloping. With the aim to fast, accurately detect insecticide residues and at a low cost, weapplied AOAC 2007.1 extraction method and developed the programme analysis on gaschromatography mass spectrometry Shimadzu QP2010. The validation of this method wasevaluated according to the guidance of AOAC 2016. The results showed that LOD, LOQ of thismethod was 0.0044 mg/kg and 0.014 mg/kg respectively. The linear range of difenoconazole andpropiconazole was 0.01-0.5 µg/mL (R2 > 0.99). The repeatability of the method in lettuce at 3concentrations of 100μg/kg, 200μg/kg, 400μg/kg ranged from 4.1% to 9.8%. Therecovery/reproducibility/uncertainty of difenoconazole was from 81.7 to 108.0%/8.2% to 8.5%/21.70; of propiconazole 80.2% to 107.2%%/7.1% to 9.1%/21.79.

A Review on the Effects of Montessori Practical Life Activities in Developing Fine Motor Skills in Kindergartners and Proposals for Application in Vietnam

Motor development is an important issue in the early stages of every child's life. Children develop motor skills with age at different rates. Fine motor skills are skills that use the small muscles that control the hands and fingers to help children perform many difficult movements. There are many studies that show that the practical life field in the Montessori method is effective for children's fine motor development. Therefore, the goal of the paper is to provide an assessment of the evidence base for the practice of life field in Montessori education and to suggest practical life activities to put into practice. In early childhood education programs in Vietnam. Besides, the paper provide a review of the evidence base for Montessori education, with the dual aspirations of stimulating future research and helping teachers to better understand whether and why Montessori education might be effective.

Dowry and Bride Price in Vietnam and Comparative Perspectives

Dowry and bride price are inherently two different types of property but have a close relationship through the marriage event between two individuals. This article is an analysis of the legal nature of these two assets under both the legal theory and practice. In terms of hypothesis, the law on marriage and family currently has enough legal bases to determine the general or specific nature of these two types of property, although it is not clearly mentioned in accordance with law. This study is also a comparison with countries’ regulations and analyses practical law application in Vietnam through judgments to bring a comprehensive view to the two different assets bearing the elements of marriage customs.

Factors Affecting Decision to Adopt Artificial Intelligence During COVID-19 Pandemic Period: Evidence from PLS-SEM and fsQCA

The study investigated the factors influencing the demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in Vietnam from the perspective of Accounting and Auditing. The data was gathered using a quantitative technique based on questionnaires to study a total of 206 accountants and auditors, and was analysed using the PLS-SEM method to determine influential factors and their relationships. In addition, we compare the PLS-SEM results with a recently established approach of panel data fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). The results reveal that the components of finance, tasks, technology, epidemics, knowledge readiness and trust all have a favourable impact on the use of AI in Accounting and Auditing in Vietnam. Besides, the fsQCA results are consistent with the PLS-SEM method, which means that our findings are robust and valid. This study adds empirical evidence to the scientific literature on AI in Accounting and Auditing, which will be immensely beneficial for legislators and businesses looking to improve company efficiency. Besides, applying the fsQCA approach contributes significantly to the existing literature about the research method.

A Combination of Low-cost, Dual-frequency, Multi-GNSS Receiver and CORS Network for Precise Positioning Applications in Vietnam

Although Real-time kinematic (RTK) is a positioning technique with high accuracy at the centimeter level, the investment cost for this positioning technique is relatively high. To reduce the investment cost, low-cost, dual-frequency, multi-Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers can be considered. In Vietnam, the Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) network has operated and covered the whole country. Therefore, the combination of low-cost, dual-frequency, multi-GNSS receivers and the CORS network can make RTK positioning easier and less expensive. The aim of this study is to evaluate the potential of applying the RTK positioning technique using a low-cost, dual-frequency, multi-GNSS receiver and the CORS network in Vietnam. In this study, four positioning experiments were performed in static and kinematic modes, and at near and far locations in which the rover was about 3 km and 30 km from the CORS station, respectively. Experiments conducted near the CORS station gave good results with the average standard deviation of 0.2 cm for static positioning and average deviation of 2.2 cm for kinematic positioning, and the FIX rate of greater than 95%. Therefore, the experimental results show the excellent potential of RTK positioning using low-cost, dual-frequency, multi-constellation receivers with the CORS network in Vietnam.

Factors Influencing Intention to Use Social Insurance Application (VssID) in Vietnam Through Technology Acceptance Model

Technology is becoming more and more popular in public services in general and social insurance in particular in Vietnam. Although the social insurance software has been used since November 2020, the number of users is still limited so far. Therefore, this study aims at investigating determinants of the intention to use social insurance management applications of Vietnamese people. Applying a combination of three models (TAM, TRA and TPB), the study identifies five determinants of technology acceptance of users in their intention to use this application in Vietnam’s Social Insurance, including Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Subjective norm, Perceived behavioral control, and Attitude towards usage. Data for the study were collected through a survey in three big Vietnamese cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang. Research results show that users' technology acceptance intention in social insurance in Vietnam is positively influenced by all five factors. From the analysis results, the study proposes recommendations related to improving the performance of the application, propagandizing the high applicability of VssID to the public. Policies and guidelines for the government to promote user's habit of using the application are also recommended. Investigation of ERP application based on technology acceptance model in Vietnam

In the era of Industry 4.0, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is regarded as the most powerful tool, remaining at the top of the automation pyramid because it integrates data from all business areas within the organization. A survey was used in this study to investigate the effects of technology acceptance on end user satisfaction—a case study of an ERP application in Vietnam. A sample of 175 end-users (no discrimination based on nationality) working in many companies in Vietnam that use ERP in daily tasks was chosen for the study using a combination of convenience sampling and snowball sampling. SEM (Structural equation modeling) was used to analyze data from 175 ERP end users. The findings provide empirical evidence for the relationship between selected determinants and end-user satisfaction as measured by perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. More importantly, this research provided principals and top managers with a better understanding of the importance of professional interaction between end-users and vendors/consultants (service quality), training, and its effects on end-user attitudes, which leads to overall activity improvement.

The role of affordances in continuance and additional purchase intention: The case of internet banking application in Vietnam

This research examined the role of Information Technology (IT) affordance, which affects the value-in-use of Internet banking, and subsequently, the users’ continuance and additional purchase intention, with a specific focus on Internet banking applications in Vietnam. The analysis was based on data from 318 Internet banking users in Vietnam. The online survey is launched purposely to test samples’ online behavior and different online devices they respond to. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural equation modeling (SEM) are used for testing the proposed hypotheses. This study found that three characteristics of affordance (i.e., visibility, persistence, and association) are positively associated with value-in-use (i.e., experience and relationship), which has a positive impact on enhancing the continuance intention and the additional purchase intention of users. The findings of this study deliver constructive ideas for banks in Vietnam for prolonging the user intention of customers, in terms of enhancing the value-in-use of their banking applications, and they target mainly the IT affordance related to the technical aspects.
