With the continuous development of the global economy, the demand for energy continues to grow, and the market size of oil and gas as an important source of energy continues to expand, and the growth potential of the oil and gas market in the future is still huge. As an internationally renowned energy company, Chevron occupies an important position in the global oil and gas market. Firstly, the financial indicator analysis method is used to compare the financial data in 2023 with the other three energy companies to obtain its financial strength with strong asset liquidity, high solvency and strong profitability. Secondly, from the aspects of profitability, development ability and valuation, it is concluded that Chevron has strong market competitiveness, large room for stock price growth, and greater investment opportunities. Finally, it is concluded that Chevron has a high investment value, but it still faces certain risks and challenges, and it is necessary to pay attention to the impact of international oil price fluctuations on the company's performance and should pay close attention to its risk factors and take corresponding measures to face it positively.

Improving business processes in the agricultural sector considering economic security, digitalization, risks, and artificial intelligence

The study aimed to address ways to improve the efficiency of agribusiness through the introduction of modern technologies and innovative approaches. The methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial indicators, analytical reviews, and specific examples of technology implementation were used to achieve this goal. The study emphasises the impact of digitalisation of the agricultural sector on improving economic security, efficiency and competitiveness. The introduction of digital technologies, such as the Internet of Things, process automation and precision farming, is helping to optimise production processes, reduce costs and improve product quality. The study results show that the concept of smart farming significantly increases the efficiency of agribusiness. The use of Big Data, blockchain technologies, drones and satellite technologies provides better management of agribusiness, while artificial intelligence helps to predict yields and optimise agricultural processes. Risk management in the agricultural sector, including insurance and financial instruments to hedge price fluctuations, is a key factor in enhancing economic stability. The experience of leading global companies such as John Deere, Agricultural Bank of China, Fruition Sciences, TE-FOOD and FieldView has shown the effectiveness of digital technologies and innovations in improving efficiency and sustainable development. Particular attention is devoted to the problems and prospects for the introduction of modern technologies in the agricultural sector of Ukraine on the example of Myronivsky Hliboproduct. An integrated model for improving the business processes of Myronivsky Hliboproduct is proposed, including the digitalisation of production processes, the introduction of blockchain technologies, the use of AI and risk management. Necessary steps to overcome existing challenges, such as insufficient funding for innovation, infrastructure constraints, staff training and cybersecurity, were determined. The implementation of the proposed measures will allow the company to become a leader in the implementation of innovations in the agricultural sector of Ukraine, increase competitiveness and ensure sustainable development in the future

INNOVATIVE ANTI-CRISIS MANAGEMENT AT TRADE ENTERPRISES IN THE CONTEXT OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION AND RISKS IN UKRAINE

The article examines the activities of commercial enterprises during the crisis caused by the war, the coronavirus, and the European integration aspirations of Ukraine as a candidate for membership in the European Union. Despite the significant number of publications on anti-crisis policy, there are still unresolved problems related to risk management in the process of ensuring the anti-crisis policy of trade enterprises in the global economic uncertainty. Most of the companies in this sector suffered collapse and bankruptcy due to the complexity of operating conditions during this difficult period: power cuts, labour migration, changes in international and domestic supply conditions, selection of new suppliers, destruction of road and warehouse infrastructure, and the search for new logistics routes. The aim of this article is to offer practical recommendations that will help retailers strengthen their resilience, adapt to the changing environment through innovative crisis management measures, and quickly recover from the crisis to reach or exceed the previous level of financial and operational stability. The research methodology involves a two-pronged approach: a qualitative study through a literature review and interviews, which gives an idea of crisis management, and quantitative methods, including surveys and analysis of financial indicators. The article examines the activities of trade enterprises in the crisis period of the pre-war years, i.e., the time of the pandemic's impact on the dynamics of trade. It analyses the losses of retailers during the war. The objectives of crisis financial management are defined. The relationship between crisis management and the solvency and financial stability of trade enterprises is determined. The impact of insolvency of trade enterprises on the payment of wages to employees is identified. The authors propose a number of anti-crisis measures for trade enterprises in the context of wartime and a global pandemic, such as transition to online trading using marketing strategies and plans, cost reduction, effective inventory management, modelling the sensitivity of financial indicators to changes in the external environment, and search for innovative opportunities. Attention is focused on the growing role of human capital in business recovery, including the importance of staff training and professional development, improvement of motivation systems and human resource management. The paper suggests ways to increase labour productivity, such as process automation and the effective use of data analytics. Results. Thus, the objective need for innovative tools for crisis management of trade enterprises becomes a key element of research in the context of European integration and wartime.

How ESG Practices Enhance Firm Value: A Case Study of Yankuang Energy

With the rise of the ESG investment philosophy in recent years, people have begun to pay attention to company's ESG performance. At the same time, with China's dual carbon policy proposal, energy companies are facing enormous environmental pressure in the production process. For energy companies, the marginal benefits of excellent ESG performance will be greater than those of other industry companies. Under this background, this paper takes Yankuang Energy, a coal company, as an example and uses financial indicator analysis methods, the Z-score financial crisis model, and the EVA economic value-added method to explore how the energy company's ESG practices can improve its firm value. The research has found that in terms of financial performance, ESG practices mainly enhance the firm value by improving its profitability.

The purpose is to identify the features of strategic planning and formulate specific recommendations on the choice of growth strategies in developing and developed markets for international streaming services. Objectives: study of specific examples (cases) growth strategies in developed and emerging markets; identify key factors for the successful development of companies; study cases of adapting a product to the needs of the local market environment. Methodology: comparative analysis; analysis of financial indicators and benchmarking; synthesis of information obtained; inductive and deductive methods. Results. of the study showed that taking into account the needs of the audience in national markets is the key to the growth of the company and its subscriber base. When entering the market, companies use a pre-formed market development strategy as a starting point for expanding the number of users, after which they continue to strengthen their positions using market penetration, product development or diversification strategies, adapting the product to the needs and characteristics of the market environment. Conclusions. Partnerships have proven to be an important factor in developed and emerging markets, however, in the case of developed markets, this strategic step benefits in quantitative terms, and in the case of emerging markets, both in qualitative terms (localization of content) and in quantitative terms, the growth in the number of users. The findings and results of the study will be useful to existing streaming services, startups, venture investors and government agencies regulating this area.

Assessing the Banking Sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina: An Analysis of Financial Indicators through the MEREC and MARCOS Methods

Abstract The banking sector assumes a pivotal role in the economic development of nations. The assessment of financial indicators pertaining to banks holds fundamental importance in the evaluation of bank stability and sustainability. This research employs the MEREC (Method based on the Removal Effects of Criteria) and MARCOS (Measurement of Alternatives and Ranking according to COmpromise Solution) methodologies to delve deeper into the financial landscape of the banking sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Specifically, the objective is to rank banks according to their financial indicators, utilizing financial data from the year 2022. The MEREC method is applied to gauge the significance of financial indicators and ascertain their respective weights, while the MARCOS method is employed to rank banks within BiH based on their financial indicators. The examination of financial indicators within the BiH banking sector, facilitated by the MEREC and MARCOS methodologies, yields a more comprehensive understanding of the sector’s present condition. Limitations of this research, which primarily stem from its reliance on available financial data and predefined methodologies, lies within limited consideration for external factors. To provide a broader contextual perspective, the inclusion of additional financial indicators and comparative analyses with banking sectors of other nations would be imperative. The findings of this research reveal that Raiffeisen Bank exhibits the most favourable financial indicators and demonstrates the highest level of efficiency within this context. Consequently, this research offers insights into identifying exemplary banks that can serve as models for enhancing the performance of others.

The article examines topical issues related to determining the financial condition of enterprises in periods of economic instability and crisis situations. In connection with the change of market conditions and economic difficulties, the assessment of the financial condition becomes an important component of the strategic management of the enterprise. The article will analyze the main problems that arise in the process of assessing the financial condition of an enterprise during crisis conditions. Among them, special attention will be paid to changes in financial indicators, insufficient availability of information, as well as shortcomings in methods of financial reporting analysis. Next, the article will consider the tools and methods of assessing the financial condition that can be used by enterprises in crisis conditions. Among them, various approaches to financial analysis will be covered, including vertical, horizontal and dynamic analysis of financial statements. In addition, the article will explore the possibilities of using financial modeling and risk analysis to assess the financial condition of the enterprise in crisis conditions. Modern software tools and technologies that can help enterprises solve these tasks will be considered. The final part of the article will provide recommendations for improving the process of assessing the financial condition of an enterprise in crisis conditions. The author will emphasize the importance of constant monitoring and analysis of financial indicators, as well as the implementation of modern tools and methods to ensure effective management of financial resources in conditions of instability and crisis. The general result of this article is an understanding of the complexities and challenges that arise in the process of assessing the financial condition of an enterprise in crisis conditions, as well as providing practical recommendations for overcoming these problems. Financial controlling of securities transactions in the aspect of taxation

The article comprehensively analyzes the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of financial controlling of transactions with securities in view of the peculiarities of their taxation. Possibilities of improving controlling to increase the efficiency of securities management at enterprises are considered. The essence and functions of financial controlling in the financial management system of modern enterprises are analyzed in detail. thus, such key functions as strategic planning of financial activities, budgeting and financial planning, internal consulting and auditing, constant control and analysis of financial indicators for the presence and nature of deviations are defined. The article presents the classification of securities and describes the stages of financial control of operations with them. such as strategic planning of the optimal investment portfolio, budgeting of investment volumes in various instruments, adjustment of the accounting and reporting system for operations, as well as optimization of their taxation. A detailed procedure for the analysis of tax transactions with securities in Ukraine has been carried out. which determined the rates of income tax and military levy, the procedure for calculating investment income. Particular attention is paid to the possibilities of tax optimization by using the benefits provided by the law for long-term investments or carrying out operations through offshore jurisdictions with a favorable regime. It is important that the enterprise fully complies with both the legislation of Ukraine, which includes operations, and the legislation of those countries in which placement, purchase or sale of securities takes place. A detailed analysis of tax regulation in Ukraine, including tax rates and opportunities for tax optimization, makes the article a crucial source of information for enterprises engaged in operations with securities. It is noted that financial controlling is a key tool in managing such operations, and the examination of taxation specifics unveils opportunities for tax burden optimization and overall enhancement of financial management efficiency for businesses. It is shown that financial controlling is the main tool for managing transactions with securities, and the analysis of the peculiarities of their taxation provides opportunities for optimizing the tax burden and increasing the overall efficiency of the financial management system of enterprises.

The article defines that the assessment of the state of implementation of the innovative potential of industrial enterprises is carried out at the micro level (within the enterprise, their association, group of enterprises) and at the macro level, which involves a comprehensive assessment of the development and implementation of innovations at the local and regional levels. The authors describe in detail the most common methods of evaluating innovation potential (expert evaluation, index calculation, point evaluation method, financial indicator analysis method, percentage ratio method, graphical method, method of comparing indicators with marginal / permissible / optimal values). The method of integral assessment of innovative potential is determined to be the most acceptable for practical use in the analysis process, considering the combination of the indicators selected for assessment in it into an integral-complex one. The article developed a comprehensive system of indicators for assessing the state of implementation of the innovative potential of industrial enterprises at the micro level and provided a full description of the selected indicators by components of the available set of resources and opportunities for the implementation of innovations. The article deals with the development and implementation of a system of indicators for assessing the state of innovation potential of industrial enterprises. Innovative potential is a critically important factor for ensuring competitiveness and sustainable development of enterprises in modern conditions of globalization and rapid technological progress. The main purpose of the study is to determine the key indicators that allow a comprehensive assessment of the innovative potential of industrial enterprises, taking into account various aspects of their activity. To achieve this goal, the article analyzed the existing methods of evaluating innovation potential and developed an improved system of indicators that takes into account the specifics of the industrial sector. The proposed system of indicators makes it possible to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the state of the innovative potential of industrial enterprises, to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as to develop recommendations for its improvement. This provides enterprises with the opportunity to more efficiently plan and implement innovative projects, increase their competitiveness and promote sustainable development.

On Market, Finance and Risk of an Integrated Practical Platform for Intangible Cultural Heritage Campus Cultural and Creative Dissemination, Incubation, Exhibition and Sales

This article introduces the establishment and operation plan of an integrated practical platform for the dissemination, incubation, exhibition, and sales of intangible cultural heritage on campus, aiming to promote the inheritance and innovation of intangible cultural heritage on campus, and transform it into products and services with commercial value. Through market analysis, including SWOT analysis and market feasibility analysis of the cultural and creative industry in Bengbu City, the development prospects of the platform in the campus market of Bengbu City have been determined. In response to market objectives, marketing strategies such as customer segmentation, pricing, promotion, and marketing have been adopted. In terms of financial analysis and forecasting, investment analysis, analysis of the three major financial statements, and analysis of financial indicators were conducted to evaluate the economic benefits of the platform. At the same time, detailed analysis was conducted on market risk and risk control, competitor risk and risk control, fund risk and risk control, product risk and risk control, sales risk and risk control, as well as construction and operation risk and risk control, and corresponding countermeasures were proposed.

The Innovative Nature of Selected Polish Companies in the Energy Sector Compared to the Use of Renewable Energy Sources from a Financial and an Investor’s Perspective

Analysis of the energy sector from the micro perspective that relates to individual companies is much rarer than a macroeconomic analysis that concerns the power industry as a whole and its impact on the functioning of the economy. However, energy companies directly implement the government’s energy policies and innovation strategies. Thus, this article attempts to answer the question concerning the relationships in three large energy companies operating in Poland (1) between the use of renewable resources for production and the innovative nature of a company, (2) between the use of renewable energy sources and the standing on the stock exchange and profitability. This study used multiple case studies, financial analysis indicators, a time series analysis, and an interdependence analysis. This study covers 2011–2022 and allows consideration of long-term changes in domestic energy policy. Our findings suggest that there is a relationship between a company’s investment activity and the use of renewable energy sources. Unfortunately, the scope of the use of RESs in these companies is small (from ca. 1% to 15%, which demonstrates the low progress of green transformation) and has negative correlations with the investors’ assessment and profitability. In relation to innovation, the ratio of intangible assets to total assets was the highest for Tauron SA, increasing from 1.96% to 5.16%. Its material commitment to innovation is distinguishable from the other two companies. This is also the company with the highest share of RESs in energy production. The second place belongs to Enea SA with its ratio of intangible assets to total assets that increased from 0.72% to 1.69%. The ratio was lowest for PGE SA, increasing from 0.37% to 1.47%. The results and standing of the analyzed energy companies are strongly affected by energy policy amendments, including the improved status of coal and the re-oriented use of RESs (prioritizing solar energy over wind). As a result, these companies, despite the twelve-year period of the implementation of green transformation in the European Union, have achieved little on the path to sustainable energy. Therefore, achieving the goal of a zero-emission economy seems unlikely, since the renewable energy mix is still very slight and not diversified. Changes in energy policy are also not conducive to sectoral and economic innovation.

Additionally, a careful analysis of financial indicators will enable the company to identify areas for improvement and make informed strategic decisions. Looking ahead, the paper underscores the im-portance of Tesla's future profitability, urging the company to capitalize on market trends and diversify its product offerings. In conclusion, this paper provides a comprehensive eval-uation of Tesla's competitive ability in the new energy industry. To maintain its leadership position, Tesla must adapt to the evolving market dynamics by refining accounting practices, monitoring financial indicators, and introducing new products to meet consumer demand.

Correlation Analysis of Financial Indicators and Prices of A-Share Listed Companies in the Automotive Industry

In recent years, the new energy vehicle industry has experienced rapid growth, with over ten listed companies in the automotive sector trading on the A-share market. As a matter of fact, both large listed companies and smaller new energy firms have significantly contributed to economic development and industrial transformation. Successful listed companies have focused on optimizing their operational abilities to enhance shareholder wealth. To be specific, the performance of these companies' share prices on the stock market not only indirectly reflects their financial health but also influences their future growth. This paper employs data processing methods such as EXCEL and SPSS to analyze the correlation between financial indicators and share prices of A-share listed companies in the new energy vehicle industry. Based on the analysis results, one will select appropriate financial indicators that can predict future share price movements. Overall, these results shed light on guiding further exploration of price evaluations.

Analysis of Financial Indicators of Small and Medium – Sized Enterprises in the Slovak Republic Under the Conditions of External Disruptions

At the beginning of 2020, the world was paralyzed by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, we were witnesses of a rise in macroeconomic variables, which was interrupted by disrupted supplier – customer relations, war in Ukraine and high inflation. As the article reveals, external disturbances were reflected in the values of financial indicators of small and medium – sized enterprises in the SR. In this regard, we used added value as one of the most important quantitative indicators through which the efficiency of the small and medium – sized enterprises is evaluated. According to our findings, COVID-19 pandemic caused its decrease in 2020 followed by its increase in 2021. Regarding high inflation, small and medium – sized enterprises managed to get over high inflation rate in 2022 by transferring rising costs into sales.

The article provides an overview of ideas about the essence of the company's restructuring, the process of mergers and acquisitions, methods of valuation in the process of mergers and acquisitions of companies. There was a need for a comparative description of the methods of assessing the value of the organization. The conclusion is made about the scope of the profitable, costly and comparative method in assessing the value in merger and acquisition transactions. The assessment obtained as a result of the application of financial analysis indicators enables the company's management to solve the problems of strategic choice and allows comparing alternatives to the strategy, making a judgment on the feasibility of a merger and affiliation transaction.
