In this article, I explore methods that psychology instructors can use to integrate the philosophical principles proposed in the Guidelines for the Undergraduate Psychology Major 3.0 (American Psychological Association, 2023) into their courses and curricula. I apply Yacek's (2021) aspirational transformative model to expand upon the first philosophical principle that psychology is a transformative pursuit and provide direction for incorporating several other philosophical principles into teaching psychology. The aspirational model can be applied to course-specific objectives or more broadly to course and curricular design to foster student transformation, preparing students for the work force and leading a flourishing life. Application of the aspirational model is one approach to using the philosophical principles in the Guidelines and course-specific values as the lens through which students process their experiences to the betterment of themselves, others, communities, and society. Support for the rationale, methods, and outcomes of the aspirational model draws from a diverse array of empirical and theoretical sources.
