School-Based Healthy Plate Education and Its Effect on Improving Nutritional Knowledge Among Primary School Students

Nutritional problems among primary school children remain a significant public health concern, particularly in the context of the dual burden of malnutrition. This study aimed to examine changes in students’ nutritional knowledge following a school-based healthy plate education intervention. A quasi-experimental pre–post design without a control group was implemented among 63 students from grades IV to VI. The intervention integrated visual media, interactive instruction, and practical demonstrations based on the “My Plate” concept. Knowledge levels were assessed using structured pre-test and post-test instruments and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results showed a substantial shift in knowledge distribution, with the proportion of students in the “good” category increasing from 23.8% to 71.4%. Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (Z = -5.543, p < 0.001), with a large effect size (r = 0.69). No participant experienced a decrease in score after the intervention. These findings indicate that school-based interactive nutrition education incorporating visual and experiential components can effectively enhance primary school students’ nutritional knowledge. Further longitudinal studies are recommended to assess the sustainability of behavioral changes.

Utilizing Artificial Intelligence to Strengthen Humanitarian Digital Media at BSMI Maros Regency

Limited media exposure remains a key challenge for humanitarian organizations in strengthening accountability and public trust. This community service program aimed to enhance the communication and publicity capacity of the Indonesian Red Crescent (BSMI) Maros Regency using artificial intelligence (AI) in digital media management. The novelty of this program lies in integrating AI as a strategic communication tool for humanitarian organizations, rather than merely providing general digital training, by supporting content planning, search engine optimization, and context-based publication management. The program was implemented through training and mentoring activities that combined lectures, discussions, hands-on practice, and the use of a workbook as a reflective learning instrument. The results indicate an improvement in volunteers’ understanding and skills in managing digital media more strategically, as reflected in learning evaluation outcomes and the continuity of post-training practices, including the formation of digital volunteer teams and active involvement in humanitarian content publication. Practically, this program contributes to the development of a contextual volunteer empowerment model based on digital literacy and artificial intelligence. This model has the potential to be replicated by other humanitarian organizations to strengthen accountability, enhance public trust, and support the sustainability of humanitarian initiatives in the digital communication era.

Enhancing Teachers’ Competence through Training on Android-Based Mathematics Learning Media

The development of Android-based mathematics learning media using Unity 3D at SD Negeri 4 Padangkerta was conducted to address the limited use of interactive learning media in mathematics instruction. This community service activity aimed to enhance teachers’ competence in developing Android-based mathematics learning media through participatory training and hands-on practice. The program was implemented through stages of socialization, technical training on Unity 3D, prototype development assistance, and evaluation of training outcomes. The results indicate that 80% of participating teachers successfully produced Android-based learning media prototypes, accompanied by a 75% increase in teachers’ understanding of learning technology based on pretest and posttest evaluations. In addition, teachers demonstrated increased motivation and creativity in integrating digital technology into classroom learning. Overall, this activity contributes to strengthening teachers’ digital competence and improving the quality of mathematics learning using interactive and contextually relevant digital media.

Integration of Deep Learning in AI-Based Learning to Improve Primary School Teachers’ Digital Literacy

This community service (PKM) program addresses the need to strengthen digital literacy and pedagogically grounded artificial intelligence (AI) integration among primary school teachers. The program implemented a practice-based training model combined with a co-design pedagogy approach, enabling teachers to actively engage as learning designers rather than passive technology users. The activity was conducted at SDN Oetona, Kupang, involving twelve primary school teachers. Evaluations were carried out through pre- and post-tests, observation of instructional practices, and guided reflective responses. The findings indicate a notable improvement in teachers’ conceptual understanding, operational readiness, and confidence in integrating AI into lesson planning and classroom activities, with 80% of participants demonstrating the ability to apply basic AI tools for instructional support. Despite positive outcomes, the program faced limitations related to training duration, participant scale, and device availability. As a follow-up strategy, a school-based learning community was established to support sustained collaboration, mentoring, and the gradual development of AI-supported pedagogical practices in primary education.

Joymath Cognitive Behavioral Intervention to Enhance Numeracy Literacy and Mathematical Resilience at At-Tanzil Learning Center

Children of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia face dual challenges of limited access to formal education and low numeracy literacy, often compounded by severe math anxiety. This community service program aimed to enhance numeracy literacy and mathematical resilience through an integrative Joymath–Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) intervention in a non-formal education setting. The implementation adopted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving 25 students at Sanggar Belajar At-Tanzil, Selangor. The intervention was conducted in three stages: psychological conditioning to reduce baseline anxiety, concept exploration through joyful mathematics games, and cognitive restructuring to address negative self-talk. Program outcomes were assessed using participatory observation, indicators of student engagement, and analysis of students’ worksheets (LKPD). The findings showed promising effectiveness, marked by increased active participation, a shift in students’ self-narratives from helplessness to curiosity, and improved understanding of basic mathematical concepts. Beyond student outcomes, the program strengthened the partner learning center’s capacity by introducing a practical, context-sensitive instructional model that can be sustained in non-formal settings serving vulnerable learners.

Penguatan Resiliensi dan Kesejahteraan Psikologis Relawan Bencana melalui Pelatihan Dukungan Psikologis Awal di Desa Blimbing, Mojo, Kediri

Indonesia merupakan wilayah rawan bencana yang tidak hanya menimbulkan dampak fisik, tetapi juga berdampak pada kondisi psikologis, termasuk pada relawan bencana. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan resiliensi dan kesejahteraan psikologis relawan melalui pelatihan resiliensi bencana dan Dukungan Psikologis Awal (Psychological First Aid). Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 13 November 2025 dengan melibatkan 10 relawan Kelompok Siaga Bencana (KSB) Desa Blimbing, Kecamatan Mojo, Kabupaten Kediri, menggunakan desain one-group pretest–posttest. Resiliensi diukur menggunakan Resilience Scale (RS-14), sedangkan kesejahteraan psikologis diukur menggunakan skala Psychological Well-Being (18 item). Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan tingkat resiliensi relawan setelah pelatihan, yang ditandai dengan hilangnya kategori sangat rendah dan meningkatnya kategori sangat tinggi. Kesejahteraan psikologis relawan juga mengalami peningkatan, ditunjukkan oleh penurunan kategori rendah dan munculnya kategori tinggi pada pengukuran pascapelatihan. Meskipun kegiatan ini memiliki keterbatasan pada jumlah partisipan dan tidak menggunakan kelompok kontrol, hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan psikososial berpotensi memperkuat kapasitas relawan serta mendukung penguatan peran KSB dalam penanggulangan bencana berbasis komunitas.

Sosialisasi Hand Sanitizer Berbahan Alami Mangrove Api-Api untuk Mewujudkan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa mengenai Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) melalui sosialisasi kesehatan yang dikaitkan dengan pemanfaatan mangrove api-api sebagai bahan alami hand sanitizer. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di MTs Nurul Ihsan, Desa Pantai Bahagia, Kecamatan Muaragembong, Kabupaten Bekasi, dengan melibatkan siswa kelas VIII dan IX serta guru sekolah. Metode kegiatan meliputi penyusunan pretes dan postes berupa 10 soal pilihan ganda, penyampaian materi PHBS dan potensi mangrove api-api, serta evaluasi efektivitas kegiatan menggunakan analisis N-gain. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dari rata-rata nilai pretes 54 menjadi 83 pada postes dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,623 yang termasuk kategori cukup efektif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi PHBS berbasis kearifan lokal mampu meningkatkan literasi kesehatan siswa sekaligus memperkenalkan potensi sumber daya alam di lingkungan sekitar sebagai bagian dari praktik hidup bersih dan sehat. Kegiatan ini berimplikasi pada pentingnya pengembangan program PHBS yang berkelanjutan dan kontekstual melalui sinergi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat pesisir guna mendorong pembiasaan perilaku sehat dalam jangka panjang.

Optimalisasi Kantin Sehat dan Halal sebagai Sarana Edukasi Gizi Berbasis Komunitas di UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya

Kantin sehat dan halal di lingkungan universitas berperan strategis dalam menyediakan pangan bergizi sekaligus membentuk perilaku konsumsi sehat mahasiswa. Namun, rendahnya pemahaman pengelola dan pengguna kantin terkait gizi seimbang, keamanan pangan, dan kehalalan menunjukkan perlunya intervensi pengabdian masyarakat yang terstruktur dan partisipatif. Program ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan fungsi kantin sehat dan halal di UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya melalui peningkatan kapasitas pengelola kantin dan mahasiswa. Program pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan Community-Based Research (CBR) dengan desain kuasi-eksperimental one-group pretest–posttest pada Juli–November 2025. Kegiatan mencakup pelatihan, edukasi gizi, implementasi menu sehat dan halal, serta monitoring dan evaluasi pada 39 unit kantin, dengan evaluasi kuantitatif melibatkan 30 peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan skor pengetahuan dari rerata 18,80 menjadi 20,70 (Δmean = +1,90; p = 0,003) serta skor sikap dari 13,43 menjadi 14,87 (Δmean = +1,44; p < 0,001) pengelola kantin dan mahasiswa setelah intervensi. Perubahan kognitif dan afektif tersebut diikuti dengan penerapan menu sehat dan halal pada sekitar 70–80% kantin kampus. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa intervensi edukatif berbasis komunitas efektif mendorong perubahan pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik pengelolaan kantin, serta memberikan dasar empiris bagi pengembangan kebijakan kantin sehat dan halal yang berkelanjutan di perguruan tinggi.

Pelatihan Strategi Permainan Bola Voli Berbasis Opposite Hitter bagi Guru PJOK SMP/SMA/SMK di Kecamatan Bajawa

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan (PJOK) SMP/SMA/SMK se-Kecamatan Bajawa dalam menerapkan strategi permainan bola voli modern berbasis penggunaan pemain opposite hitter. Kegiatan dirancang menggunakan pendekatan pelatihan partisipatif yang mengintegrasikan seminar dan diskusi interaktif, simulasi taktis, serta praktik lapangan. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 59 orang yang terdiri atas guru PJOK, siswa-siswi anggota tim bola voli sekolah, serta mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani, Kesehatan, dan Rekreasi (PJKR) STKIP Citra Bakti sebagai pendamping lapangan. Evaluasi efektivitas kegiatan dilakukan melalui desain pretest–posttest untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terhadap konsep dan penerapan formasi opposite hitter. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan, di mana rata-rata skor peserta meningkat dari 59,5% pada pretest menjadi 90,1% pada posttest, atau mengalami kenaikan sebesar 30,6%. Selain peningkatan aspek kognitif, peserta juga menunjukkan kesiapan yang lebih baik dalam mengimplementasikan strategi opposite hitter dalam latihan dan permainan tim sekolah. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik dan pendampingan langsung efektif dalam memperkuat kapasitas guru PJOK sebagai pelatih serta siswa sebagai pemain, sekaligus mendorong penerapan spesialisasi peran yang lebih sesuai dengan tuntutan permainan bola voli modern.

Penguatan Literasi Budaya dan Keterampilan Membatik Perajin melalui Pelatihan Motif Batik Naratif Ratu Kalinyamat di Jepara

Kegiatan revitalisasi seni kriya tekstil melalui pengembangan motif batik naratif Ratu Kalinyamat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan dan mengevaluasi kapasitas kreatif serta teknis perajin di Kampung Batik Kembang Mulyo, Jepara. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan pelatihan partisipatif berbasis tindakan (participatory action training) dengan melibatkan 30 peserta. Program pelatihan mencakup penguatan narasi sejarah Ratu Kalinyamat, perancangan sketsa motif, digitalisasi desain, penerapan teknik print malam, dan pewarnaan alam. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test pada enam indikator, yaitu pengetahuan naratif, pengetahuan desain, kemampuan sketsa motif, digitalisasi motif, teknik print malam, dan kualitas pewarnaan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor rata-rata peserta dari 48,3 pada pre-test menjadi 83,8 pada post-test. Peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada kemampuan digitalisasi motif (+40) dan teknik print malam (+39), diikuti peningkatan pengetahuan naratif dan desain (+34). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi narasi budaya lokal dengan pelatihan teknis dan teknologi desain efektif dalam mendorong transformasi keterampilan perajin secara komprehensif. Kegiatan ini juga berkontribusi pada penguatan identitas batik Jepara serta membuka peluang pengembangan industri batik berbasis identitas naratif yang berkelanjutan.
