: Remarriage is an individual who is married the same or more than twice by a man or a woman. Usually, marriage is done once in a lifetime. However, in Nagari Padang Ganting found men and women married many times. This study uses a qualitative method. Data was collected using in-depth interviews, observation and secondary data analysis. The practice of social remarriage (marriage again) in the Minangkabau community in Kenagarian Padang Ganting studied with structuration theory by Anthony Giddens is known that there are structures that enable or empower "remarriage" itself. But there are also structures that constrain or curb “remarriage”. Of the two divisions, the empowering structure tends to be more dominant than the restraining structure. Men don't have space in their parents' homes, there are parties looking for a mate, the value of children as continuation of offspring, male providers, stigmatization of widows and two, men remarry to take care of their needs, second and subsequent marriages are easier to do and the practice of remarriage is a common thing to do into a structure that perpetuates remarriage. Meanwhile, remarriage is considered to increase men's economic responsibilities, the marriage law makes it difficult for divorce to occur and women carry out the parenting role posterity becomes a structure that restrains perpetrators frim remarriage.

Pertentangan Rasionalitas Instrumental dan Nilai di Era Covid-19

This article discusses the conflict between instrumental rationality and value rationality. The purpose of the article is to re-examine what the differences are between the two and what are the causes of the conflict. The finding shows that contradictory actions would not have occurred if there were no people who had a tendency to place more importance on the dominant rules and were accompanied by the awareness to implement them. The only way to stop it is to "understand" what is behind it to take an action and analyze it from the stability of reality and worldview. Whether reality must be in accordance with the worldview or a worldview that adapts to reality so that there is no mismatch between the two. When reality can no longer be explained by the prevailing worldview. Then the worldview will be reinterpreted so that it can explain reality or vice versa, the reality that must be changed to follow the worldview. Back at this time, the Bukittinggi City Government has unwittingly relaxed the 3M policy (although this rule is still being encouraged in the community) by prioritizing the mandatory wearing of masks and launching the covid-19 vaccination as a new step to stop the spread of the covid-19 outbreak.

Tekanan Kapitalis dan Jatuhbangunnya Wanatani Krui di Sumatra

We present a brief description of the processes that have led to changes in Krui's damar agroforests. To explain these changes, we use the idea of a 'capitalist squeeze', where factors of reproduction and economy - drought, inheritance patterns, and local trade relations - combine with state and agribusiness pressure. We integrate remote sensing data at the historical level of damar agroforestry with deforestation data and small oil palm plantations throughout Krui. In January 2016, we carried out a two-week quick assessment at Krui agroforestry to assess the yield of damar per hectare and the arrival of sawmills paying high prices for resin wood. Participant observation, interviews (n=12), and focus group discussions (n=3) established that previous collaborative efforts had failed to protect the Krui damar forests from extensive felling, mostly by smallholders taking advantage of high prices of damar timber and oil palm. Attention to the capitalist squeeze bring a focus to the need to create social relations that are just, inclusive, and egalitarian in the production of resin itself.
