When one thinks about TEMPEST and compromising electromagnetic emissions, he might think that everything is possible only with the help of sophisticated and expensive dedicated field equipment. Due to the technological evolution and the appearance of small and affordable broadband receivers with notable capabilities, the analysis of compromising electromagnetic emissions has become much easier to achieve but also led to an increased risk in terms of information security.

We investigate the possibility to use Viola-Jones [1] object detection framework through a multi-model approach to build a face extraction pipeline that will be used in video appearance tagging. Although deep convolutional neural networks have surpassed previous algorithms in performance [2], Haar Cascades needs much lower memory than CNN, does not require specialized hardware, and has lower storage requirements. Most videos will show the same face more than once, at least a few close-ups that are full frontal and well lit. We need an efficient system that will extract the best appearances. This study shows the pre-trained model selection, the fine-tuning of run-time parameters and the test. After selection of models for faces, eyes, mouths and noses and testing the right runtime parameters we were able to establish a procedure that will avoid any false positives and will produce a set of well defined faces.tart your abstract here

The USVs attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet naval base in Sevastopol opened a new chapter in warfare at sea through the appearance of a new weapon and the consequences of this attack on the conduct of the war in Ukraine. A primary analysis of the attack and the weapon, as well as its consequences at the tactical, operative and strategic level provides us with the first lessons regarding the new way of fighting at sea.

The success of the ship's voyage depends on accurate and up-to-date meteooceanographic information about the sea areas crossed. This article demonstrates the benefits of establishing routes appropriate to the knowledge of the actual meteo-oceanographic conditions, which will ensure: time and fuel savings, increased safety of the vessel, crew, and mission success. The modelling of navigation and hydrometeorological conditions in the coastal and harbour area of Constanta Agigea is necessary to know the efficient execution of the voyages of an integrated multi-sensor maritime platform, intended for real-time intervention for disaster risk management in Romanian coastal and harbour areas.

Networks (whatever their nature: telecommunications, freight transport, energy or people) are studied from several points of view, they have a fundamental role in the existence of the territory as well as in its development. The transport networks are of great diversity depending on the mode of transport to which they belong. The transport infrastructure network is characterized by arcs and nodes. Both arcs and nodes have characteristics that must be connected to the means of transport that use it. In order to carry out the transport in the relationship (𝑖,𝑗) ∈ 𝑅 for a given network (𝐾,𝐷), the sequence of arcs connecting to node 𝑖 ∈ 𝐾 to the node 𝑗 ∈ 𝐾 must be chosen (in the case of the network appropriate to the request). If the nodes 𝑖,𝑗 are neighbors the arc will constitute the shortest sequence of arcs.

News crawl extraction is a subset of media monitoring. It is not directly related to the broadcast itself and not spoken by any anchor or guest - therefore its content cannot be inspected via speech-to-text tools. News crawl content is only available as text in video frames so its extraction can be done using Scene Text Detection techniques. This work tests the most used deep learning Scene Text Detection methods (both regression and semantic segmentation approaches) to see if they can be used as a base in news crawl extraction. Our investigation shows that regression based model CTPN performs better for our particular purpose that the semantic segmentation based EAST and CRAFT models.

The internal motive of this criminal activity is given by the motive of the deed, which is the one on which the feeling of hatred takes shape in the mind of the author of the deed. Close by, we will draw defining lines of the perpetrator's way of thinking before the implementation of the illegal activity, as well as the steps that the competent bodies take in the criminal investigation.

NVNA Varna, Bulgaria uses simulators toinstruct scholars in its Marine Program. Our machine room simulatorsare important for the unborn marine masterminds, while ground simulators are used by scholars who study in the Navigation program. Generally scholars in the two programs practice with these simulators independently. In this paper we want to show the goods on instruction when an machine room simulator Wartsila works together with a ground simulator. The integration between the simulators gives students valuable experience in platoon work on boat board.

This paper explores threat detection using semantic analysis performed with "Tropes" software.

Augmented reality in shipping is currently at an advanced stage in most developed countries, but in Romania, there is room for development in this sector. Augmented reality is currently used in the shipping industry, mainly by Western-based companies, but also as a pilot or prototype model in marine engineering, as in the case of the Yara Birkeland, a fully autonomous ship sailing unmanned between 2 Scandinavian ports. Augmented reality has great potential to assist the maritime industry in various operations such as remote assistance, engine diagnostics, surveys, work reporting, and training. The analysis presents numerous examples of augmented reality applications and work needs to be done before implementing these solutions and considering commercial requirements.
