Post-cardiac surgery patients in recovery depend on caregivers to meet their physical needs because of weakness and reduced physical ability. Caregivers provide care, including assistance in meeting daily needs, self-care, and socializing in the environment. Many caregivers feel unprepared to assume the burden and demands of care on patients. This study aimed to describe the caregiver burden in caring for post-cardiac surgery patients. The research design was quantitative descriptive with an accidental sampling technique with a sample size of 23 respondents. The study was conducted in the outpatient department of a private hospital in Western Indonesia. The instrument used was the caregiver burden inventory, which was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the most respondents were female. The highest age of the respondent was 74 years, and the lowest was 18 years, with an average age of 44 years. There were 7 (30.34%) respondents who indicated the risk of fatigue, 6 (26.09%) respondents indicated the need to seek treatment, and 10 (43.48%) respondents did not feel the burden. As conclusion, caregivers were at risk for burden because of their roles and responsibilities. Nurses were expected to provide for the needs of caregivers during the surgical preparation to help reduce the burden and provide support in carrying out their roles during the care of post-cardiac surgery patients. The type of this research was observational analytic with cross-sectional design. Data were collected by filling out a questionnaire by the respondents and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of this study showed that there was no correlation between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding with stunting. However, there are other factors that influence the occurrence of stunting, consisting of expenditure on food consumption (p=0.007), birth weight (p=0.035), and birth length (p=0.004). This type of research is a quasi-experiment using a pre-post test control group design. The research subjects were some of the diabetic patients in the Tambakrejo Health Center, Surabaya, totaling 80 people, divided into treatment and control groups. The independent variable is a community-based client empowerment strategy. The dependent variable is therapy management of DM clients. Data analysis using t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of Community-based Client Empowerment Strategies in the treatment group (p = 0.000≤α = 0.05) and the control (p = 0.078 ≥α = 0.05). At the pre-test, the mean of self-care management in the treatment group was 22.20 ± 6.65, while the control group was only 19.30 ± 5.27. There is a difference in the treatment group which has a delta mean of self-care management of 6.35 ± 7.66 and the control group of 2.28 ± 7.96. At the time of the pre-test the mean of self care management in the treatment group was 22.20 ± 6.65, while the control group was only 19.30 ± 5.27. Sempur (Dillenia serrata) is one of the most commonly found local fruits and comes from South Sulawesi. The peculiarity of this sempur fruit is mainly in its refreshing sour taste and attractive fruit color. Phytochemical test of Sempur fruit peel extract contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, polyphenols and triterpenoids. The research objectives are 1). The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of sempur fruit peel (Dillenia serrata) to reduce total cholesterol levels in white rats (Rattus novergicus) and 2). To determine the average value of the decrease in total cholesterol levels in male white rats (Rattus novergicus) after being given sempur fruit peel extract (Dillenia serrata). The research used was Experimental Laboratory which was carried out at the Pharmacognosy-Phytochemical Laboratory and the Pharmacy Biology Laboratory of the Pharmacy Department of the Sandi Karsa Polytechnic. The method used is the induction of Propylthiouracil and the administration of high fat by measuring total cholesterol levels in male white rats with a glucometer and using the maceration extraction method. The 15 male rats used were divided into 5 groups, namely negative control (Na.CMC 1% w/v), Sempur fruit peel extract 0.5% w/v, Sempur fruit peel extract 1% w/v, Sempur fruit peel extract 1.5% w/v and positive control (Simvastatin). Observations on the decrease in total cholesterol levels were carried out 1 day after treatment. The administration of sempur fruit peel extract 0.5% w/v, 1% w/v, and 1.5% w/v gave the effect of reducing total cholesterol levels in male white rats and at a concentration of 1.5% w/v which showed an effect the best for reducing total cholesterol levels in white rats. Based on the results of the paired sample t test with SPSS which shows significantly that the value of sig. (2-tailed) obtained was 0.023 <0.05 and the mean decrease was 36 mg/dl. Colles fracture is the most common wrist fracture, with a incidence of 24% among the working population, where fracture through the radius cause the distal part to be displaced radially dan dorsally. These fractures of the distal radius are often caused by a fall on the outstretched hand with the wrist in dorsoflexion, causing tension on the volar aspect of the wrist, causing the fracture to extend toward the back of the hand. The incidence of Colles fracture is most common in adults over the age of 50 years and more common in women then men because of the onset of postmenopausal osteoposrosis where falls with outstretched arms are the most common cause. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of patients with Colles fracture at Dr Soetomo Hospital Surabaya for the period January 2019 – 2020. This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach that takes secondary data. In this study, there were 121 case samples after the inclusion and exclusion criteria were carried out. The conclusion of this study, based on the Frykman classification, Colles fracture moat often occur in Frykman 1. Based on the age, Colles fracture most often occur in late elderly patients, namely at the age of 56-65 years. According to mode of injury, Colles fracture are the most common in patients who fall. Based on the treatment given to the patient, most Colles fracture patients were treated with a combination of operative and conservative. Keywords: colles fracture; profile

Porphyromonas gingivalis is considered the primary etiologic factor in periodontitis. The administration of antibiotics has so many adverse effects that alternative ingredients are needed with minimal side effects and as an agromedical-based innovation from herbal ingredients abundant in Jember district, namely extracts from cocoa beans. This study aimed to determine the antibacterial activity of fermented and unfermented cocoa bean extract ( Theobroma cacao L. ) with various concentrations against P. gingivalis. This research was conducted using fermented cocoa bean extract 1%, 2%, 3%, unfermented cocoa bean extract 1%,2%,3%, chlorhexidine as a positive control, aquadest as a negative control. Extracts were made using the Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction method, then tested for antibacterial using the disk diffusion method on Muller Hinton Agar media, four replications, 24 hours incubation, and measuring the inhibition zone with a caliper. The minimum inhibitory concentration of fermented cocoa bean extract was 3%, the size of the inhibition zone was 12.57 mm, the unfermented cocoa bean extract was 2%, the size of the inhibition zone was 11.67 mm. Test the difference using Kruskal walis, significance value 0.001. Antibacterial activity of cocoa bean extract (Theobroma cacao L.) unfermented Edel variety had more potent antibacterial activity against P. gingivalis than fermented one. The results of the Mann-Whitney test between samples showed that there were almost significant differences between the researched samples.
