L’objectif de cette contribution est d’offrir quelques observations sur la tradition manuscrite de la 'Chanson d’Aspremont' en Italie. Celles-ci sont issues du chantier d’edition des temoins francais et franco-italiens de la chanson de geste. Les resultats de l’etude permettent de nouvelles reflexions sur la complexite et l’importance de la tradition manuscrite du poeme dans l’Italie medievale. This contribution examines certain aspects of the Franco-Italian 'Chanson d’Aspremont' manuscript tradition in Italy derived from the project of editing French and Franco-Italian witnesses of the Chanson. The results of the study further illuminate the complexity and vastness of the text’s manuscript tradition in medieval Italy.

La traduzione dell’'Entree d’Espagne', il piu importante poema della letteratura franco-italiana, obbliga a riflettere sia sull’ottimo lavoro di edizione portato a termine da Antoine Thomas all’inizio del XX secolo, sia, talvolta, sul testimone unico che ci ha trasmesso il poema. Questo breve articolo da solo qualche piccolo esempio di questo lavoro. Translating the 'Entree d’Espagne', the most important poem of Franco-Italian literature, compels us to reflect both on the excellent editing work that Antoine Thomas carried out at the beginning of the twentieth century and on the single manuscript that transmitted the poem to us. This short article gives a few small examples of the translation project’s results.

Il contributo vuole essere un primo sondaggio lessicale su un corpus di manoscritti poco noto, rappresentato dalle versioni franco-italiane della Chanson d’Aspremont, sia per meglio articolare la lessicografia del settore sia per cominciare a collocare la Chanson nel sistema di rapporti e riprese fra i testi epici franco-italiani. This paper offers a first lexical survey of an almost-unknown manuscript corpus, the Franco-Italian versions of the Chanson d’Aspremont; our aim is to contribute fresh material to Franco-Italian lexicography and to better understand the position and role of the Chanson among Franco-Italian epic texts.
