Kebudayaan Bali tidak pernah terlepas dari perpaduan harmonis antara tradisi keagamaan yang kental, kekayaan seni yang beragam, tradisi lisan, pakaian adat, bahasa daerah, serta adat istiadat yang menjadi bukti ketahanan dan kreativitas selama berabad-abad. Di balik keberagaman budaya tersebut, Bali sering menghadapi serangan dari pengaruh era globalisasi yang dapat mengancam warisan budaya. Dampak yang signifikan terhadap kebudayaan tradisional Bali adalah komodifikasi budaya Bali untuk tujuan pariwisata dan westernisasi akibat pengaruh perkembangan teknologi (media digital). Di tengah kekuatan globalisasi, masyarakat Bali perlu selalu menjaga keseimbangan antara menghormati kearifan masa lalu dan memanfaatkan peluang yang saat ini tanpa mengorbankan identitas budaya tradisional Bali dan nilai-nilai luhur yang dikandungnya.

Depresi adalah kondisi yang ditandai dengan ketidakseimbangan atau gangguan dalam diri sendiri yang terkait dengan aspek bio-psiko-sosial, yang terwujud dalam gejala-gejala seperti hilangnya semangat, perasaan sedih, rendah diri, menarik diri dari orang lain dan lingkungan, serta pikiran atau upaya bunuh diri. Mengingat meningkatnya prevalensi depresi dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan global, sangat mendesak untuk mengeksplorasi perspektif dan solusi alternatif. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, menggunakan sumber data sekunder seperti buku, jurnal, dan laporan penelitian, yang dianalisis melalui studi dokumen untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang gangguan depresi. Konsep Hindu tentang Pañcam?y?ko?a, yang menggambarkan lima lapisan kesadaran individu, digunakan sebagai alat analisis utama. Studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa depresi dapat dipahami sebagai ketidakseimbangan dalam lapisan-lapisan ini, dan menunjukkan bahwa praktik holistik seperti yoga, meditasi, dan pr??ayama, bersama dengan menumbuhkan pikiran positif dan dukungan sosial, dapat secara efektif mengatasi gangguan depresi. Temuan-temuan ini menyoroti potensi mengintegrasikan kearifan tradisional Hindu dengan pendekatan psikologis modern untuk mengembangkan strategi yang efektif untuk mengelola depresi.

ANALISIS PENTINGNYA MENJAGA KERUKUNAN UMAT BUDDHA DI VIHARA CAKRA JAYA, VIHARA CAKRA DHAMMALOKA, DAN PADEPOKAN DHAMMALOKA ARAMA KABUPATEN BANJARNEGARA

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana umat Buddha di Banjarnegara menjaga kerukunan antar umat Buddha yang berbeda sekte. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga vihara di Banjarnegara yang memiliki umat Buddha dengan berbeda majelis yaitu majelis Buddhayana dan majelis Theravada yaitu Vihara Cakra Jaya yang terletak di desa Mandiraja Wetan, Vihara Cakra Dhammaloka yang terletak di desa Somawangi, dan Padepokan Dhammaloka Arama yang terletak di desa Merden. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan tekni pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian diambil dari umat yang terjun langsung dan berperan aktif dalam kegiatan umat Buddha dalam menjaga kerukunan umat Buddha di Banjarnegara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kerukunan umat Buddha di Vihara Cakra Jaya, Vihara Cakra Dhammaloka dan Padepokan Dhammaloka Arama adalah hal yang penting untuk tercipta karena mengingat umat Buddha yang ada di tiga vihara tersebut termasuk minoritas dalam daerahnya. Untuk menciptakan kerukunan umat Buddha di ketiga vihara tersebut, dilakukan dengan cara melaksanakan pujawalian bersama, anjangsana, sosialisasi, pelaksanaan kegiatan terkhusus untuk muda-mudi Buddhis (Sekolah minggu; Atthasila, Meditas, Dhamma; DhammaClass) serta arisan yang secara rutin dilakukan oleh para orangtua.

KAMPANYE FEMINISME DALAM TOKOH DEWI KWAN IM (BHODISATWA AVALOKITESWARA)

This world is a man's world where men are considered as the main thing, while women are only considered as companions. This is known as a patriarchal culture which is supported by religious and cultural entities. This patriarchal culture raises resistance from feminist groups who fight for gender equality. Among religious figures with male personifications, there is a figure of Goddess Kwan Im in Buddhism whose influence and popularity surpasses other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the campaign for feminism in the figure of Dewi Kwan Im. This study uses a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative approach and data collection uses in-depth interviews and literature study. The change in the appearance of Dewi Kwan Im from male to female had the goal of making compassionate teachings more easily accepted by Chinese society when Buddhism entered China in the first century AD. Before Buddhism entered China, Chinese women worshiped and asked for help and compassion for the goddesses of compassion in Taoism and Confucianism. In addition to these objectives, the change in Kwan Im's form from male to female is a form of feminism campaign which emphasizes that men and women have an equal position, both can achieve the highest enlightenment as Bodhisattvas, although one of the requirements to become a Buddha must be a male (lingasampatti). Dewi Kwan Im motivated Chinese women at that time to have an equal position with men. Women can achieve the highest enlightenment, women can be of service and benefit to humanity as long as they are always compassionate and spread kindness.

Hindu teachings emphasize that all actions must be based on dharma in order to achieve harmony and happiness. Tri Hita Karana is a Hindu religious teaching that focuses on harmonious relationships with God, fellow humans and the environment. Harmonizing these three relationships will bring happiness. One way to implement this harmonious relationship is by implementing punia funds. Carrying out good dana punia or what is called satwika dana punia is a way of establishing a harmonious relationship, both with God through yadnya, as well as with fellow humans and the surrounding environment. This tri-harmony relationship provides philosophical value in building a foundation, as a form of actualizing Hindu religious teachings both vertically and horizontally.

This research aims to find out about the naming ritual as a ritual to search for the spirits of the dead in Kedang Ipil Village. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that the ritual of buying namang inherited by the people of Kedang Ipil Village is still maintained and maintained to this day. This ritual is carried out to find the spirit of a person who has died for 15 days.

A war is an evitable reality in human life. In a basic review war is often considered as human’s natural condition. War is believed as evitable and natural. Further observation states that war is an unnatural situation. The theory of fair war and war law is the logical consequence towards this circumstance. The Church, as a part of the world citizen, also has view and outlook towards war. Post the second Vatican Council, the Church has opened itself more towards the problems happen in the world in order to take part in the attempt to resolve the world’s problems, including war. The Church issued the teaching of the Church via encyclical and the documents of the Church. This research is conducted to give the depiction of the Church’s view towards war. The method used in this research is literature review with the references from journal, books and Church’s directives, such as encyclical or the social teaching of the Church. This research is expected to be capable of being a guideline for the Christians in behaving towards war.

Leadership is an important aspect in human life. The concept of leadership has become the main subject of discussion in various scientific disciplines and society. This study seeks to examine leadership in Buddhism. This research uses a qualitative approach with a focus on library research. The Buddha's leadership has criteria laid down in the Dasa Raja Dhamma for a king or leader to carry out. The study of Buddhist leadership provides valuable insight into how Buddhist values of ethics, compassion and wisdom can form the basis of ethical and ethical leadership.
