Implementation of the Kullīyat al-Mu‘allimīn Al-Islāmīyah Curriculum in Improving the Quality of Graduates in Islamic Boarding School

This article reveals a situation, Kullīyat al-Mu‘allimīn Al-Islāmīyah Gontor Curriculum Planning in Improving the Quality of Graduates which is carried out using the I'dad Tadris, I'dad Madhi (material) and I'dab Maknawi (meaning) methods which are not just knowledge but wisdom. Implementation of the curriculum is in accordance with the use of an integral curriculum and evaluation is carried out carefully and in detail. The feasibility study was implemented in the context of increasing the number of ustadz and subjects taught. This is important to do so that you can find out the condition of the number of teachers, teacher abilities, and even obstacles. Evaluations are carried out by the person in charge of Kullīyat al-Mu‘allimīn Al-Islāmīyah in various ways, either daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annually or annually. All of this is done to ensure that the quality of graduates meets expectations. Artikel ini mengungkap suatu keadaan, Perencanaan Kurikulum Kullīyat al-Mu‘allimīn Al-Islāmīyah Gontor Dalam Meningkatkan Mutu lulusan yang dilakukan dengan metode I’dad tadris, I’dad madhi (materi) dan I’dab maknawi (makna) yang tidak hanya sekedar pengetahuan melainkan hikmah. Pelaksanaan kurikulum sesuai dengan penggunaan kurikulum yang integral serta evaluasi yang dilakukan dengan teliti dan detail. Studi kelayakan diterapkan dalam konteks penambahan jumlah ustadz dan mata pelajaran yang diampu. Ini penting dilakukan agar dapat mengetahui keadaan jumlah guru, kemampuan guru, bahkan kendalanya. Evaluasi dilakukan oleh Penanggung jawab Kullīyat al-Mu‘allimīn Al-Islāmīyah secara bervariasi, baik harian, mingguan, bulanan, semesteran, maupun tahunan. Semua ini dilakuan untuk memastikan tercapainya mutu lulusan yang sesuai dengan harapan.

Madrasah Management Based on Total Quality Management in Developing Student Character

This article discusses the management of madrasa education from a Total Quality Management perspective. The main problem raised is why Madrasah management based on Total Quality Management (TQM) has not been able to develop the character of students in Jambi province? This article comes from qualitative research at three madrasas in Jambi Province, including; Islamic Junior High School 6 Sarolangun in Sarolangun Regency, Islamic Junior High School 2 Batang Hari in Batang Hari Regency, Jambi Province, and Islamic Junior High School 5 in Jambi City. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that TQM-based madrasa management in developing student character in Jambi Province is carried out based on the integration of resource management systems that do not meet standards. The factors that influence TQM-based madrasa management in developing student character in Jambi Province are budget, facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, the strategy for improving TQM-based madrasa management is to develop student character in Jambi Province by encouraging teachers to work professionally Artikel ini membahas pengelolaan pendidikan madrasah dengan perspektif Total Quality Management. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah mengapa pengelolaan Madrasah berbasis Total Quality Manajemen (TQM) belum mampu dalam mengembangkan karakter Peserta didik di provinsi Jambi? Artikel ini berasal dari penelitian kualitatif pada tiga madrasah di Provinsi Jambi antara lain; Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 6 Sarolangun di Kabupaten Sarolangun, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Batang Hari di Kabupaten Batang Hari Provinsi Jambi, dan Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 di Kota Jambi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan madrasah berbasis TQM dalam mengembangkan karakter siswa di Provinsi Jambi dilakukan berdasarkan pengintegrasian sistem pengelolaan sumber daya yang belum sesuai standar. Adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi pengelolaan madrasah berbasis TQM dalam mengembangkan karakter siswa di Provinsi Jambi adalah anggaran, sarana dan prasarana. Sedangkan strategi peningkatan pengelolaan madrasah berbasis TQM dalam mengembangkan karakter siswa di Provinsi Jambi dengan mendorong guru untuk bekerja secara profesional.

The 'Four Pathways' Madrasah Principal's Strategy Management In Improving Teacher Commitment

This article discusses the strategic management carried out by the Head of Madrasah Aliyah Batam State, Riau Islands Province to increase teacher commitment. The main problem studied is how is the strategic management carried out by the Head of MAN Batam to increase teacher commitment? The research method used is a qualitative-descriptive method, with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the Head of MAN Batam has implemented the principles of strategic management which consist of environmental observation, both internal and external observation, then strategy formulation, strategy implementation and evaluation. The state of teacher commitment at MAN Batam is divided into two forms of commitment, namely, commitment to carrying out their duties and commitment to improving the quality of madrasahs. The implementation of strategic management carried out by the Head of MAN Batam to increase teacher commitment is divided into three major plans; optimizing school management, optimizing the role of school principals, and optimizing efforts to create committed professional teachers. Artikel ini membahas tentang manajemen strategi yang dijalankan oleh Kepala Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Batam Provinsi Kepulauan Riau untuk meningkatkan komitmen guru. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji adalah bagaimana manajemen strategi yang dilakukan Kepala MAN Batam untuk meningkatkan komitmen guru? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif-deskriptif, dengan pengkumpulan data secara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepala MAN Batam telah melaksanakan prinsip-prinsip manajemen strategi yang terdiri dari pengamatan lingkungan, baik pengamatan internal maupun eksternal, kemudian perumusan strategi, pelaksanan strategi, dan evaluasi. Keadaan komitmen guru di MAN Batam dibagi ke dalam dua bentuk komitmen yakni, komitmen di dalam menjalankan tugas dan komitmen dalam meningkatkan kualitas madrasah. Adapun implementasi manajemen strategi yang dijalankan oleh Kepala MAN Batam untuk meningkatkan komitmen guru dibagi ke dalam tiga rancangan besar; optimalisasi manajemen sekolah, optimalisasi peran kepala sekolah, dan optimalisasi upaya penciptaan guru profesional yang komit.

Total Quality Management in The Formation of Students Morals

This article reveals the uniqueness of Islamic Senior High School Insan Cedekia Jambi in shaping the morals of its students in the context of total quality management (TQM). How does this school implement TQM in forming the morals of its students? The findings of this research indicate that the implementation of TQM in forming the morals of MAN Insan Scholar Muaro Jambi students is carried out by reviewing the vision and mission and establishing madrasa programs for moral formation. Apart from that, schools also establish quality assurance and quality standards and create school culture by means of; positive habits, role models, spontaneous activities. All of this is also supported by a participative leadership style which is directed at increasing the motivation of teaching staff and maintaining relationships with customers, both in the educational, social, spiritual and public relations fields. Artikel ini mengungkap suatu keunikan pada Madrasah Aliyah Negerei Insan Cedekia Jambi dalam membentuk akhlak peserta didiknya dalam konteks total quality management (TQM). Bagaimana sekolah ini menerapkan TQM dalam pembentukan moral siswanya? Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan TQM dalam pembentukan akhlak siswa MAN Insan Cendekia Muaro Jambi dilakukan dengan cara melakukan review visi dan misi serta menetapkan program madrasah dalam pembentukan akhlak. Di samping itu, sekolah juga menetapkan jaminan mutu dan standar mutu dan menciptakan kultur atau budaya sekolah dengan cara; pembiasaan positif, keteladanan, kegiatan spontan. Semua itu juga didukung dengan gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif yang diarahkan untuk peningkatan motivasi tenaga pendidik serta mempertahankan hubungan dengan pelanggan, baik dalam bidang pendidikan, sosial, kerohanian, dan kehumasan.

Learning Islamic Religious Education with Multicultural Insights in Strengthening Harmony among Students

The objectives of this study include: (1) To find out how the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning with a multicultural perspective in SMA Negeri 3 Tebo Regency, (2) To find out what obstacles are faced in multicultural-based learning, and (3) To find out how to overcome obstacles multicultural based learning. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data was collected by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected in the form of words were analyzed by means of reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it can be stated that the learning of Islamic Religious Education with a multicultural perspective is carried out in order to strengthen the harmony of life among students at SMA Negeri Tebo Regency with an emphasis on awareness of the diversity of ethnicity, culture, language, religion, and so on. The obstacle that teachers often encounter is that there are still some students who do not understand multicultural insight so that it often triggers the emergence of expressions and attitudes that offend SARA so that it often causes chaos. In order to overcome the existing diversity, teachers continue to approach students and provide an understanding that multiculturalism is a gift that must be nurtured.
