The COVID-19 pandemic changed social structures on multiple scales due to social and sanitary restrictions. Tourism, like other sectors, was broadly impacted, experiencing a dramatic reduction in travel. In response, individuals sought alternative ways to maintain physical activity, with outdoor activities gaining popularity, and cycling becoming increasingly widespread under these circumstances. This study aimed to analyze the profile of cyclists and cycle tourists in Santa Catarina within the post-pandemic context. The research employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data for a descriptive analysis. A self- administered questionnaire was applied for data collection and measurement, analyzed within a theoretical framework. The study involved 185 respondents residing in the state, with a near-equal distribution of men and women, and a predominance of higher education and income levels. The findings indicate that the pandemic significantly encouraged cycling as a means of leisure, recreation, and physical exercise. A significant proportion of respondents began cycling due to social restrictions and continued the activity post-pandemic. Cycle tourism was almost unanimously regarded as a key driver for developing tourist attractions, with the potential to attract visitors and generate income for local communities.

With the increasing use of discourse analysis (DA) methodology in the humanitiesand social sciences, including tourism, there is a need to determine which subjects are necessaryto understand and elucidate their discourses. Tourism, as a multifaceted phenomenon, tends tohave a multitude of actors in its formulation and implementation, which tends to make researcheven more complex. This paper provides a bibliographical study to outline these themes, theirimportance in tourism and the circumstances of their discourses for an analysis of the proposedmethodology based on the three key DA concepts: power, ideology and hegemony. As a result, this paper identifies six major groups of players: state and government; tourism trade; tourists;local residents; academy and media. As an implication, it is hoped that this paper will contributeto the advancement of discourse analysis methodology in tourism, particularly in the field ofpublic policy.

This study aims to analyze the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as a competitiveness factor by hotel companies located in Inhambane and Macaneta, Mozambique. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. For data collection, a semi-structured interview script was used, which was applied to ten hotel managers from Inhambane and Macaneta (five participants in each case). The data was analyzed using categorical content analysis. The results showed that the interviewees recognize the importance of technology for the hotel's competitiveness, but do not use software, limiting themselves to simpler programs. It was found that Wi-Fi services and the use of social networks are perceived as sources of competitive advantage in the context investigated. The research points to practical contributions that shed light on the need to make resources available for the application of ICT in the hotel sector.

A memorable tourism experience corresponds to the memories retained in the tourist’s memory based on the individual experiences perceived during all the phases of a trip to a particular destination. Theme parks are tourist attractions designed with a thematic identity that allows visitors to escape from routine and are based on offering a different world with alternative experiences that can become unforgettable. In this context, this study aimed to analyze the influence of memorable tourism experiences from the Beto Carrero World theme park perspective in Penha-SC, Brazil. This research was conducted using data collected from 680 tourist visitors to the park, using a questionnaire comprising 27 variables that are part of the memorable tourism experience constructs: hedonism, novelty, renewal, meaning, involvement, knowledge, and social interaction. The data was analyzed based on sociodemographic characteristics and multivariate analysis using SPSS and SmartPLS software. The results made it possible to identify a new proposal for a conceptual model to evaluate the meaning of memorable experiences in theme parks and positively confirmed the influence between the memorable tourism experience and each firstorder construct, revealing that immersive hedonism and perceived meaning had the most significant impact on the memorable tourism experience in the theme park.
