PENGEMBANGAN E-MODUL BERBASIS DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA MATERI HUKUM NEWTON UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA

This study aims to produce a product in the form of an e-module, analyze the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of an e-module based on discovery learning on Newton's law material to increase students learning motivation. The research method is research and development with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The research sample was 10 students of class X MIPA 6 and 34 students of class X MIPA 5 at SMA Negeri 7 Medan. The results of material expert validation obtained an average of 98.3% with a very valid category, the results of media expert validation obtained an average of 93% with a very valid category, the results of the validation of learning strategists obtained an average of 89.7% with a very valid category, and the results of the practicality test of physics teachers obtained an average of 95% in the very practical category. The practicality test of student responses obtained an average of 85.4% and 88.8% with a very practical category. The effectiveness test on learning outcomes obtained n-gains of 0.64 and 0.76 with medium and high categories. The effectiveness test on learning motivation obtained n-gains of 0.49 and 0.50 in the medium category. This shows that the e-module developed is very feasible, very practical and effective in increasing students' learning motivation. Keywords: E-Module, discovery learning, newton's law, learning motivation.

THE EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TYPE OF GROUP INVESTIGATION ASSISTED BY PHET SIMULATION ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES AT SMA NEGERI 1 BAHOROK

The purpose of this study was to find out whether the investigative group-type cooperative learning model assisted by PhET simulations can improve student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Bahorok. The research method used is quantitative research designquasi experiment two group pretest-posttest. The population in this study was class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Bahorok and the sample used was class XI IPA 1 with a total of 36 students as the experimental class and XI IPA 2 with a total of 34 students as the control class. Data collection was carried out by using questions onpretest andposttest. The results showed that the average valuepretest in the experimental and control classes of 50.0 respectively9 and 43.06 while the average valueposttest obtained in the experimental and control classes of 73.5 and 59,24. Based on one-party hypothesis testing to find out differences in student learning outcomes that have been carried out, it is found that the value of ttable = 1.9954. Furthermore, by comparing the value of ttable with tcount obtained that tcount > ttable namely 5.4265 > 1.9954. This means H0 rejected and Ha accepted which states that "There is an influence from the cooperative learning model of the Simulation-assisted Investigation Group typePhET on the material Elasticity and Hooke's Law on student learning outcomes.

THE EFFECT OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL ON STUDENT’S LEARNING OUTCOMES ON GEOMETRY OPTIC TOPIC

This research have purpose to know the effect of problem based learning model on student’s learning outcomes and student’s learning activity on geometry optic topic. This research is a quasi experiment using control group pre-test-post-test design. The sampel of theses research consisted of two classes, each contains 30 students. By using total sampling, one class is made as experiment class that uses problem based learning model, and one class is as control that uses conventional learning model, so class XI science -1 as control class and class XI science -2 as experiment class. The instrument used was a test of learning outcomes in the form of students learning outcomes in the form of 7 essay test. In the experimental class the average activity of students in the three meeting, are 62.44, 70.67 and 77.78. The learning activity have increase during three times meeting and have average value 70.33 and have good category. The data obtain so problem based learning model can increase learning activity on geometry optic topic of SMA Negeri 2 Lintongnihuta class XI science second semester A.Y. 2017/2018. The value of the average post-test experimental class was 75.13 and control class was 67.10. Hypothesis with t-test shows the result there was a significant effect of problem based learning model on student’s learning outcomes on geometry optic topic of SMA Negeri 2 Lintongnihuta class XI science second semester A.Y. 2017/2018.Keywords: Problem based learning model, conventional learning model, learning outcomes, quasi experiment, learning activity.

THE RELATION OF STUDENTS EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE (EQ) TO STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT IN PHYSICS CLASS XII MAN I MEDAN ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/2015

This study aims to determine how the relationship between students emotional intelligence to students achievementin physics class XII Science at MAN 1 Medan Academic Year 2014-2015. Sample in this study was class XII Science 5th at MAN 1 Medan was 40 respondents. The magnitude of emotional intelligence of students was measured using a questionnaire adapted from the questionnaire EQ MapTM made by Cooper, K and Sawaf and distributed directly to students obtained an average value for the emotional intelligence of students is 106 (good category). While the students learning outcomes in physics assessment tests obtained from physics problemobtained the average score was 69.13 (enough). Based on data analysis, the correlation coefficient between emotional intelligence of students to physics learning outcomes of students in class XII Science at MAN 1 Medan obtained rcountwas 0.76 and the coefficient of determination r2 was 57.76%. It was meant that there was a positive correlation between students emotional intelligence to students learning outcomes in physics, where students emotional intelligencefactor accounted for 57.76% of the increase in physics student learning outcomes. The hypothesis Ho was rejected at once receive Ha. There was a relationship between students emotional intelligence to students learning outcomes. Keyword: Emotional Intelligence, Learning Outcomes

THE EFFECT OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL ON CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY OF STUDENTS IN DYNAMIC FLUID CLASS XI MIA SMA NEGERI 2 BALIGE ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/ 2015

Abstract The objectives of this research are: Analyzing how criticalthinking ability of students that learn using Problem BasedLearning and Direct Instructional Model in dynamic fluid and Analyzing is it critical thinking ability of students that learn using problem based learning model is better than direct instructional model in dynamic fluid in SMA Negeri 2 Balige Class XI MIA Academic Year 2014/ 2015. The type of research was Quasi-experiment with the population is all of students in plus class XI MIA in even semester in SMA Negeri 2 Balige which consists of 3 classes. Sample of this research was obtained by technique cluster random sampling. The sample is XI MIA 1 as the experimental class taught by Problem Based Learning Model and XI MIA 3 as the control class taught by Direct Instructional Model. The research instrument has 6 questions in essay type, the instruments tested validated. In this research obtained the average value of post test in experimental higher than control class. In hypothesis testing t count > t table at significant level α = 0.05. So, can be concluded that the critical thinking ability of students in experimental class better than in control class. Ha was accepted or has effect of Problem Based Learning Model on Critical Thinking Ability of Students in Dynamic Fluid Class XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Balige Academic Year 2014/ 2015.
