Purpose This study aims to examine the role of big data analytical capabilities (BDAC) in fostering tech-business model innovation (TBMI), focusing on the mediating effect of digital transformation (DT) and the moderating role of digital business ecosystems (DBE). Design/methodology/approach Data were collected through an online survey involving 313 middle and senior managers working in five-star hotels located in Antalya, Türkiye. A moderated mediation model was used to analyze the relationships among the variables in the study, and structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses. Findings The findings show that DT enhances the link between BDAC and TBMI, while a DBE strengthens this effect, highlighting the importance of digital ecosystems in driving innovation. Originality/value This study validates a moderated mediation model, showing how DT and DBE influence the impact of BDAC on TBMI. It extends prior research by offering new insights into the complex relationships driving innovation.

Engineering composites such as particleboard have widespread use in various fields, but low mechanical strength and sensitivity to environmental factors limit the performance of these materials. In this study, mechanical and thermal properties such as thermal conductivity, density, flexural strength, and modulus of elasticity of wood-reinforced gypsum boards reference boards and fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) applied wood-reinforced gypsum boards were investigated according to wood and bark ratios. The results showed that the material composition significantly affects these properties. Thermal conductivity increased with increasing wood ratio, while it decreased with increasing bark ratio. FRP application increased thermal conductivity in all samples and was found to be related to density. In terms of density, samples with high wood ratios were heavier and denser with FRP. While flexural strength decreased with increasing bark ratio, FRP application increased the flexural strength. These findings show the positive effects of FRP on wood-reinforced gypsum boards boards and its high performance potential in the construction industry.

Essential Oil Composition of Oleaster (Elaeagnus Angustifolia L.) Flowers and Comparative Assessment of Metabolic and Antioxidant Potential of Flower and Leaf Extracts
  • Oct 15, 2025
  • Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Orman Fakültesi Dergisi
  • Fatih Tonguç + 3 more

The oleaster tree (Elaeagnus angustifolia L.) has different uses and is cultivated for fruit production, afforestation, landscape, as well as for food and medicinal purposes. The present study was conducted to identify volatile compounds of flowers and assess total phenolic, flavonoid, carotenoid and chlorophyll content of flowers and leaves and their antioxidant potentials. Oil yield of flowers was low (0.1%), 15 compounds were identified in flower oils, and the main volatile compounds were ethyl-cinnamate (93.87%) and ethyl phenylacetate (1.76%). The others were belong to six chemical class and accounted for less than 5% of oil. Total phenolic content of flowers was higher than that of leaves, but total flavonoid, carotenoid and chlorophyll content was higher in leaves. However, the antioxidant capacity measured by CUPRAC (67.49 vs 53.25 µmoL TE-1) and the radical scavenging activity measured by DPPH (22.30 vs 7.57 µmoL TE-1) were higher in flower extracts than the leaf extracts. These results suggest that oleaster flowers are a good source of ethyl-cinnamate and phenolic compounds.

Elektrikli araçlarda kullanılan yerleşik şarj cihazı tasarımlarının benzetim ortamında gerçekleştirilmesi
  • Oct 15, 2025
  • Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi Mühendislik Bilimleri Dergisi
  • Mehmet Tahir Özsoy + 1 more

  • Malik Ergin + 2 more

In scientific studies, outliers are among the major factors that can alter experimental results, particularly in analysis of variance. To address this problem, various outlier detection techniques have been developed by researchers. Selecting a suitable technique for practical uses is critical to ensure accurate and reliable statistical inference. The aim of this simulation study was to present a benchmark of nine outlier detection techniques (2σ, Z score, Modified Z score, Median Absolute Deviation-2MADE and 3MADE-, IQR, Grubbs, Rosner, HMSDHM) in terms of type I error probability in ANOVA and their detection capability for injected outliers. A Monte Carlo simulation program was constructed using random numbers generated from normal distribution. Small, medium, and large sample sizes, various numbers of injected outliers, and magnitudes of outliers were considered. In results, the 3MADE and Grubbs tests outperformed others in small samples. For medium samples, the 3MADE and Rosner tests showed reliable results. Furthermore, the Z score, Modified Z score, and Rosner tests performed best in large samples in terms of detection accuracy of injected outliers and type I error probabilities. Overall, the results indicated that the best outlier detection technique depends on the sample size, with 3MADE, Grubbs, and Rosner showing superior performance.
