Abstract

A flow meter and energy harvester based on miniature water flow turbine and fabricated by inkjet 3D printing is shown. It integrates mechanical and electric components necessary for electrical energy generation. Miniature turbine is generating maximum 4 mW for optimal load resistance (RL=55Ω) and 14 L/min of water flow. The harvester itself may be used as self-suppling water-flow, zero-energetic sensor in the distributed nets of water consumption measurement.
