Abstract
The article presents methodological assumptions regarding work on the translation and editing of the Polish Orthodox liturgical Psalter for the confessional needs of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Focusing on the needs related to the selection of sources and literature for text verification, it also presents the interdependence of Orthodox hymnography and the texts of the Holy Scripture. As a result, a set of necessary activities in editorial work was presented, which can be used not only when working on the Psalter, but can be helpful when editing other liturgical books.
