Abstract

What should the youth policy of a society of humane, democratic socialism look like? How should upbringing and socialization of the personality relate to one another? Is the class approach to modern social life the correct one? Has the term "communist upbringing" become obsolete? What kind of program of upbringing should our schools have? This is by no means a complete list of the issues that were the subject of discussion by a scientific council on problems of youth policy. A meeting of the council was held in the Ideology Department of the CPSU Central Committee.
