Abstract
The main purpose of this research is to reveal the perspective of the local people of Corum province, which is still in its infancy and has many alternative types, towards the phenomenon of tourism and its activities. In this direction, the population of the research, which has an applied nature, is the local people of Corum. Since the chance of reaching the whole universe is difficult in the research, the sampling method was used. The survey technique was used to collect data from the sample determined within the scope of the research. Descriptive analysis, independent sample t-test, Anova test, and Tukey tests were used in analyzing the data. As a result of the analysis, it has been concluded that there are differences in attitudes towards tourism according to some demographic characteristics in economic, social, and environmental terms. Besides, in line with the findings obtained, it was determined that the local people of Corum have a positive attitude towards tourism development at a high level.
