Abstract
Jane Elliott 1968 yılında Dr. Martin Luther King’in bir suikast sonucu öldürülmesinden çok etkilenmişti. Henüz üçüncü sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan sınıfında bir egzersiz yapmaya karar verdi. Ayrımcılık ve önyargıların toplumsal yaşamda nasıl kolayca öğrenildiğini, nasıl korkunç sonuçlar doğurabileceğini anlatmak ve paylaşmak istemişti. Jane Elliott öğrencileriyle yaptığı bu uygulamada birbirimizden nefret etmeyi nasıl öğrendiğimizi göstermek istiyordu. Sonuçlar şok etkisi yarattı.
