Abstract

This year's work in bibliography, textual criticism and reference works, continues the pattern of previous years. Much fine work is found in a limited number of journals or yearly publications. There are some notable monographs, and splendid editorial work represented in fine editions, bibliographies, and excellent reference works. All are a testament to the vigour and productivity of a fertile and very worthwhile area of endeavour which will for decades to come enrich the work of future scholars and labourers in the vineyard. The Papers of the Bibliographical Society of America (PBSA 98[2004]) follows the pattern of its preceding issues by publishing diverse research findings.
