Abstract

Support to the enterprise in Poland is realized within the framework of some programmes andon a number of levels. One of them is support to the start of new micro enterprises throughtraining and consultancy as well as transitional financial support and one-time investment grantfor the people, who decide to register their own business for the first time. These activities werecarried out between 2004 and 2006 within the framework of ZPORR (Integrated OperationalProgramme of Regional Development) and the projects financially supported by European Social Fund. Novice businessmen got the chance to gain practical knowledge of the ups anddowns of self-employment and how to run their own business. During the workshop they hadthe possibility to verify, correct and put the finishing touches on their business ideas. And thebest of them, after writing their professional business plans under the supervision of advisors,got the financial support of 700 PLN throughout the period of 12 months as well as a onetimeinvestment grant of 20,000 PLN. The Agency of Economic Development in Myœlenice is realizing two projects of this kind. One of them called “On my own” was recognized to be one of thebest in Ma³opolska region and it will be popularized by the Ma³opolskie District Office asa promotion of good actions.
