Abstract

Two new random copolyesters Poly(mannitol sebacate-co– mannitol citrate) (PMSeC) and Poly(mannitol azelate-co-mannitol citrate) (PMAC), were synthesized by direct liquefy polycondensation method using Titanium tetra isopropoxide as a catalyst. The structural arrangement of synthesized polyesters was confirmed by various spectral analysis such as FT-IR, 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR spectroscopy. The crystalline nature of prepared materials was determined by X-Ray Diffraction and Differential scanning calorimetry techniques. The biodegradable ability was confirmed by weight loss methodology. All the synthesized polyesters shows efficient biodegradability which is very useful in drug delivery, Tissue Engineering, Biomedical application, Drug loaded and eco- friendly packaging materials.
