Abstract
Devon County Council continues to find innovative ways of using technology to support its service delivery, and this paper focuses on how weather information, real-time tracking systems and the Council's control and information room are being developed and integrated to support the management of the highway network during the winter period. Increasingly the internet is being used as a tool for disseminating information to staff and providing real-time travel information, including webcams, to the media and the public. (A)
