Abstract

There has been a lot of debate around immigration in the United States. The US president and his administration have signaled their intent to reform the pathways through which highly skilled workers can gain entry to the United States, which includes a re-examination of the H-1B visa program. Although the messages coming from the White House have been inconsistent at times, at least up to the time of the writing of this article, there appears to be growing commitment to reduce the number of H-1B visas. 1 Jan T, Ehrenfreund M.
