Abstract

We demonstrate visible random lasing with the tunable range from 560 nm to 630 nm from a dual-wavelength tunable Random Raman Fiber Laser (RRFL) with phosphosilicate fiber. By tuning the pump wavelength and the reflecting wavelengths of the point reflector consisted of two separated gratings, the wavelength of RRFL can be tuned flexibly in either single wavelength or dual wavelength emission operating mode. Based on such dual-wavelength switchable and tunable RRFL and the Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate (PPLN) crystal array with various grating periods, 560 nm-630 nm widely tunable random lasing can be generated via Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) and Sum Frequency Generation (SFG).
