Abstract
Abstract As part of a set of articles dedicated to the memory of Rob Welch and focused on social and economic justice in Appalachia, this article focuses on economic justice and injustice through Kentucky’s living wage debate. Calls for economic justice and a living wage are set in a historical and national context, with a discussion of the very different logics framing notions of economic life and well-being. Examples are provided of inclusive work toward economic justice in Appalachian Kentucky.
