Abstract
Llyfr Gwyn Rhydderch is one of the most important medieval Welsh manuscripts, containing all the stories now known collectively as the Mabinogion . It lay neglected for many years until it was rediscovered at the end of the nineteenth century and a facsimile was published in 1909. Five different hands have been detected and it was probably written in the Abbey of Strata Florida.
