Abstract

Abstract This experiment was performed in a 50-acre block of mature ‘Oregon Spur Delicious’ and ‘Golden Delicious’ apple trees with over-tree irrigation. The experimental design consisted of unreplicated blocks of 8 acres each. Materials were applied on 17 Sep by helicopter at a rate of 7 gal/acre. Adult WALH populations were assessed by placing 6 unbaited Pherocon AM traps in each block and counting the adults/trap. Savit and Savit + Pyrenone (2 oz [AI]/acre) did not provide effective knockdown. Pyrenone (12 oz [AI]/acre) reduced the adult population by 50% at 1 DAT.
