Abstract
Biomedical engineering education is offered at all engineering levels provided by different Flemish institutions. The academic programs allow students from various disciplines to have an additional training in the biomedical engineering field. A survey has been performed among the graduates from the K.U. Leuven in order to find out where students find work with their degree. About 70% is active in the biomedical sector: in medical industry, hospitals or research institutes. This good result sparks the question whether one can provide a complete degree program in biomedical engineering.
