This book offers a comprehensive review of the clinical management of patients with sepsis and discusses experimental approaches for the treatment of this process. Sepsis is becoming more common among patients in intensive care units, and there is also an overall increase in the incidence of sepsis. The threat of bioterrorism increases the potential of large-scale infections and, possibly, widespread sepsis. So this text is timely and important. The contributors are all experts in critical care medicine.
