Abstract

This section is dedicated to the review of ideas, articles, books, films and other media. It will include replies (and rejoinders) to articles, the evaluation of new ideas or proposals, and reviews of books and articles both directly and indirectly related to intellectual property law. Intellectual Property and Digital Content brings together an impressive collection of 36 articles published between 1986 and 2011 in the area of intellectual property and digital contents. All are written by prominent IP scholars, and the impressive list includes Yochai Benkler, Dan L Burk, Donald S Chisum, Shubha Ghosh, Jane C Ginsburg, Paul Goldstein, Richard S Gruner, Mark A Lemley, Lawrence Lessig, J Thomas McCarthy, Peter S Menell, Robert P Merges, Raymond T Nimmer, Pamela Samuelson and Peter K Yu. This edited book comes in two volumes, both of which have three parts. Volume 1 starts with an excellent introduction by Professor Gruner on the broader theme of the whole book. Part 1 titled ‘Rethinking IP Frameworks in a Digital Age’ contains three articles trying to contextualize the broader theme of the book. Part 2 contains eight articles that focus on copyright and digital content. Part 3 provides six articles that explore different aspects of trade mark and digital content.
