Abstract

Abstract— Sixty‐five patients at two private dental clinics were assessed on compliance and motivation by questionnaire prior to their scheduled appointment. Four practitioners completed Dentist questionnaires after the appointments. The results of both revealed differences in behaviour in high and low compliance groups. It is suggested that some accepted medical care incentives may not be relevant to dentistry.
