Abstract
Further results of the determination of biological half-lives for species of bugs with a different nutritive physiology are produced in the form of tables. Some of the insects are compared with each other. Pyrrhocoris and Rhodnius eliminate Na 131J faster than Oncopeltus and Rhinocoris. Rb 86 Cl is very quickly eliminated by Pyrrhocoris and Oncopeltus. 32PO 4 3 is generally by all species somewhat faster than Na 131I. The shortest biological half-lives are obtained with water bugs. As a methodical contribution towards supplementing Schalagbauer's( 8) work the term “biological half-life” is defined even in case the effective half-life exceeds the physical half-life.
