Abstract
The weighted rational quartic spline interpolation has been constructed using two kinds of rational quartic spline with linear denominator in this paper. And the conditions of monotonicity preserving and C 2 continuity have been discussed. In addition to, the problem that constrains the weighted interpolating curves to lie above or below a given straight line or quadratic curve has been solved.
