Abstract
ABSTRACT Since the mid-1970's the subject of weight control has, increasingly, become accepted as a necessary part of offshore projects. Gradually, weight control systems have been developed and improved, and awareness of the subject is definitely growing. Little by little, design and fabrication contractors, client companies, and finally, government agencies, are learning the trade. The first published article on the subject was in October 1978 (1), but, since that time numerous articles have followed, and a number of international seminars have been convened (2).
