Abstract
We study the problem of wedging of an elastic wedge realized along the edge crack with the help of a hard wedge. The analytic solution of the problem is obtained by the Wiener-Hopf method. We determine the stress intensity factors, the distributions of stresses on the continuation of the crack and in the contact zone, and the circular displacements of the crack lips.
