Abstract

The hybrid composites are a new class of materials for tribological applications that encouraged many researchers to develop hybrid composites. The mechanical properties and tribological of Al based matrix composites enhances the use of mono ceramic as a reinforcement. In hybrid composites the properties of more than one suitable kind of reinforcements is to be exploited to make better composites for various tribological applications. This paper gives an overview about wear and friction (tribological) properties of hybrid composites and its development.
