Abstract

Boundary-value scattering problems for penetrable bodies of revolution of extreme shape applying the discrete sources method (DSM) have been considered. The results of the DSM implementation have been illustrated by solving the scattering problems for prolate and oblate spheroids. DSM and modification of the method of discrete sources (MMDS) have been compared for solving scattering problem for elliptical perfect conducting cylinder. Different techniques of discrete sources and matching points distribution to obtain higher result accuracy have been analyzed.
