Abstract

Available water resources scientific and technical information services are reviewed and discussed with emphasis on water resources engineering. Discipline-oriented services are analyzed along with problem oriented services. The problem of current awareness and retrospective information are discussed. the Use of research groups located at universities as document processing centers of information analysis centers . is discussed. The interfaces between and among energy, environment, and natural resources fields are discussed as they relate to water resources information. The programme of the Office of Water Research and Technology and the services of its Water Resources Scientific Information Center (WRSIC), the National Center for Water Resources Scientific and Technical Information, are reviewed and discussed. Finally, the basis of WRSIC's current international exchange agreements is reviewed.
