Abstract

The crystal structures of brucinium chlorate(VII) dihydrate and brucinium dihydrogen phosphate 6.15 hydrate were determined. In both crystals, brucinium cations form common monolayer sheets, and anions and water molecules are found between them. In the crystal of 1, the only water molecules, which form helical chain C4, participate in short hydrogen bonds with cations and anions. Both, cation and anion are linked only by weak C–H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal of 2, brucinium-dihydrogen phosphate(V) ions pair is directly linked by short ionic N–H +⋯O − hydrogen bond, and water molecules form common tapes T6(2) or T5(2).
