Abstract

The multi-service (a combination of voice and data services) uplink capacity and the interference statistics (mean value and variance) of the sectors of a long-tunnel W-CDMA microcell are studied. A model of nine microcells in a long tunnel is used to analyse the uplink capacity and interference. The hybrid model of propagation is used in the analysis. The multi-service capacity and the interference statistics of the sector are studied for different sector ranges, antenna azimuth side lobe levels and power control standard deviation error.
