Abstract

Splošne izobraževalne knjižnice imajo v izobraževanju odraslih velik pomen, če se pravočasno odzivajo na izobraževalne potrebe. Knjižnica naj se iz ustanove, kjer si posameznik zgolj izposodi knjigo, spremeni v informacijsko središče, kjer lahko posameznik zadosti potrebi po vseživljenjskem učenju. Knjižnice bi morale s svojo dejavnostjo in ponudbo bolj posegati v neformalno izobraževanje.
